At this point, your bias shines through you.
I should have spotted your disingenuity earlier. You masqueraded yourself as a neutral on this issue when you are obviously a hater. A hater who formulates and employs weak antics.

Just look at that poor line of defense you employed, diminishing the value of Italian and German leagues to make your point. Just like people would say Messi is a tad overrated because he only performed in one league. So by your analogy, Buffon and chiellini are a bit overrated because they shone in only the Italian league? Is the Italian league not one of the top 4 football leagues in the world?

Secondly is jorginho not also shining in his country?? Did he not just win a continental competition? What do you mean found out?? Was it not in EPL that jorginho also held passing records??

As for the coaches opinion. Of course we have our eyes and brain which we use to form opinions but it is foolhardy when your opinion goes contrary to that of elite professionals?
If for example, I have a wound on my hand and 6 medical doctors inspect this wound and tell me it's not just a lesion but Cancerous, won't I be foolish to still have a contrary opinion? I might have read books about the skin but would it compare to the the experience and expertise of that elite professional?

Mind you, every single opinion we have is an aggregation of other people's opinion. We have heard from multiple sources and pieced together our own. In other words, our opinions depends on our sources.
As I said earlier,I'm tired of this argument,I won't be replying further. Go away with your bias and continue hating while the player is balling. You can only sulk and sulk.
LOL. I'm a hater because i don't agree Jorginho is ELITE. Omo, you really deserve Ibime grin You want your man to be acclaimed as world class when he does not pass the litmus test.

The German Bundesliga is better than that league, yet you still see people calling it Burndisleaguedown or farmer's league which is harsh but with a bit of truth in it. So why should i take the Serie A seriously when discussing elite matters. The French League is also a Top 5 league, why don't we hold them up as a yardstick for elite players after all there are only 4 leagues better than them.

The Messi analogy won't work because he was the best player in a league that was arguably the best league for the most part of a decade. Different teams from that league were winning multiple continental titles at all levels. He was competing for titles against fellow elite players. He also has his records and performances against quality opposition in multiple seasons in the CL to back up his elite status. Same with Lewy, Muller and co.

Buffon and Chiellini are elite not just because they have won 10 league titles but because of their consistency and match-winning performances in both local and international competitions over the years. Between them, they've LED their teams to a World Cup title, multiple CL finals, multiple Euro finals, Chiellini winning one. They are accorded massive respect by both fans and rivals. Can you say the same for Jorginho?

This man ehn. You are comparing a specialized field like medicine and surgery to football coaching. Medical reports are based on facts not opinion. Facts that must have passed standard tests and inquiries and are verifiable. Saying a football player is elite is a matter of opinion not facts. What you can do is make convincing arguments as to why this is so.

Who gives a fucck about his passing records in England? How many titles did he win with it, how many team of the year selections did he make? Not even an assist to show for it. Italian Leon Britton grin Sarriball was shown up and the golden boy of the system fell with it. Later you will begin to wonder why i discriminate between leagues.

Me sef don tire to dey talk Jorginho. You guys can enjoy him. I definitely will be more than happy to see him play against Bayern if we meet.

Lol quite a lot of posts on this issue of Jorginho. I don't think there is a player that polarizes the opinion of fans the way he does especially fans of the same club.

Havertz10:
Official gist

Tuchel never wanted a striker, it was the board that wanted one, he said that it should be haaland and when the board couldn't get that deal through, instead of letting it be, they wanted to save face so they chased lakaka to offset for their failure to sign haaland, guessing that's why they supported tuchel over lakaka cause they knew that they are the ones at fault

Lakaka outburst makes sense, guessing he expected to come to Chelsea and have the team serve at his pleasure but we struggled trying to provide for him and it affected us and cost us games, should have gotten kounde and theo hernandez or hakimi
havertz 10 your name give you away, you just want havertz to be starting always so all this your long statement. tuchel no want striker for where? na defender in go want abi?

This is not true. If there is a constant debate over a player, i think it reflects the player being a player of high value. A lot of Man-u fans till today are debating whether Ronaldo is really important to their team despite his record clearly showing.

Before Messi left Barca, a lot of barca fans too were constantly arguing over him with many saying that his role was overstated. I'm sure PSG fans are doing the same.
These problems are highlighted especially when things are not going perfectly for the team.
That some fans can't see the value of their own valuable player doesn't mean that play is not indeed valuable, that's why fans are not in the boardroom making decisions, their fickleness is unmatched.

I keep saying it, A jorginho in a Guardiola system would be fire. Much more than rodri is performing right now. Guardiola knows this which is why he chased him vociferously.

But the same you have been using passing stats to denigrate jorginho for months here. grin grin grin
Ibime stand one place na.

After every match you go and paste passing stat to bash jorginho. Now that I've reminded everyone how jorginho has better adapted to his new coach and become well rounded, you are now trying to mock jorginho's passing records. grin grin grin

His passing stats was ineffective when he was a controller

Now he is not passing, I remind you he is not passing for those of you spinning narrative that his passing stats led us to success

When he was passing, we were failures, getting bullied all over the place, and he was no more effective than Leon Britton in style, choice of pass and efficacy

Which useless continent? He won the award because he was part of a team that won the UCL and Euros. If Mount won the final, he could have won it too. If Kante won Euros, it will automatically go to him. How about getting into the team of the year for a 38-games season? Ngolo Kante has even won the real award - PFA.

Varane was part of the CL and world cup winning teams and never won the award

Secondly look at these below. Just the latest I could find. Go to uniteds thread and see more.

tmay:

Even Ronaldo too was selfish , especially in the last league game where he could have given a nice pass to Greenwood for a tap in on two occasions.
Greenwood probably thought he won't score if Ronaldo keeps up that shit. so he took things into his own hands. All in all, these things will end up being a negative for the overall team performance and result.
omonla10:
Man Utd buying Ronaldo will never make sense.. Ronaldo is obsessed with numbers and records. This can only spell doom for a club with aspirations.
These young players egos need to be boosted and not placed under these supposed goats
Leyqute:
What Ronaldo did there was senseless. First chance of the game and you decided to be that selfish.

You will only find this in a 36 year old Ronaldo or 34 year old Messi at PSG. 98% of club fans will have nothing bad to say of Ronaldo in 2008, or Messi at Barca, only trolls from other clubs.

Secondly coaching philosophy matters. Guardiola is hard-pressed on possession. He emphasizes this in his team. Likewise Sarri. That's why mancity matches are boring to watch. The ball is always moving.

Tuchel and kloop are very very direct. They want the ball passed forward at every turn. So this results in relatively fewer passes.

Yes it's boring. Even peak Barcelona. Boring but effective. Always wearing the opponents out. The opponents are always chasing the ball. The excess passes are boring but very effective.

If there is so much debate over a player's value to the team then it is very likely that player has a limitation or hindrance affecting the team negatively.

Ronaldo before he joined united was constantly called out by juve legends saying he affected the team's organization, I was one of those who felt they exaggerated things until I saw him at United. As it is as good as Ronaldo is there are ways he negatively impacts this united team. He is no longer as explosive (sharp) as he was and because his fitness level isn't at the level it was before he has to accommodate that by being passive in build up play, he can't help in pressing as a younger winger or CF would. He can't even play as target man because that isn't his style. He is basically an Inzaghi with better technique and finishing.

The reason why Jorginho gets bashed on this thread especially by Ibime and others is because he is a limited player and also commits stupid errors that lead to goals. Now even a limited player can perform under the right tactics which is what Tuchel has done but one has to wonder if the team could play even better without having to accommodate such player.
