Most valuable afcon XI

Ndidi is the only naija player there

You're using your knowledge of World Cup and European Cup to judge the afcon.

Maybe you should go back to history and read more about the previous champions of the competition, you'll realise that most teams who don't parade big names actually won the trophy than those that have players in big club in Europe

The great Hassan shehatta team won the afcon three times in a row with mostly players in the Egyptian league.

The Senegal, ivory coast with there world class team have three trophy same with us. So what is the essence of having a world class team and you can't dominate your region.

Your entire write up is based on assumption and history.

I looked at teams in the HERE and NOW looking at team composition and the quality of players they have, with details.

And all you can say is historical form and make assumptions by historical precedent. That's not very intelligent.

In the here and now, list the teams that have a better squad than Nigeria at the AFCON, using your own parameters of league quality and the amount of $$ the players earn...

Apparently, you have disagreed with nearly every moniker that's ranking us along the top favorite..it'd be helpful if you drafted your own ranking...

House, away from Afcon for a minute

What's your take on Nigerians bashing and trolling Watford in their official facebook page?

IMO I think it's really bad for business

Those guys have about 5 Nigerians on their books, Yeah it was quite heartbreaking to see Dennis miss the AFCON,but I believe we are taking it too far

Funny thing is that the Hornets fans are now fighting back...

What's your take??

It is wisdom to be weary of Egypt .

They have a very strong league in that pays very well by African standards, some players have been paid €20k a week.

As a consequence the desperate Dan desire to leave your country at any cost into the most inhospitable and socially isolated places in the world for peanut football contracts. Is not a an issue with them.

That means the larger percentage of the TEAM plays in Egypt. That's why you will notice the play with such cohesion and with no egos in the team. They all know and understand themselves and can be very tactfully compact..

I would not say they should be dismissed ,they are probably the best team not the best players but team. Add to that they have a world class player in Salah.

Should not be under estimated so easily.

True mr Komekn, i cannot remember the last time we beat Egypt, or scored more than once against them.

Let's face it, we are not a free scoring team, and we would need lots of goals to beat Egypt.

What point do you mean exactly❓
You know the point you have been stressing: how he has not moved beyond the exploits of teen football, how he's stuck in the backwater leagues of Europe, how he does not deserve to be called up for the AFCON. These points have been dinned into our heads over and over again.
It's like an obsession for you. To go over and over and over again with regards a matter that you can't change or influence, is really baffling.

Maybe you want to over hype and exaggerate and over state the attributes of player's because they are Nigerian. You even make excuses for the inexcusable, And because I will not join you in that self deception you call it hate.

The player that succeed are those who are made to realise the challenges and how much they have to improve with honest even harsh criticism.

Those that fail probably listen to your hype and believe it and don't improve and then fail.

You are part of the Nigerian problem enthroning mediocrity on the basis of Nepotism and favouritism.
I'm not one of those who hype players, why would i do that.
But i'm telling you to start seeing players like nwakali and kelechi the way u see abraham and the likes in ur eyes,
I assure u,it won't kill u brother.

Bro we beat them two years plus ago in a friendly played at Asaba so things are not that bad.

They will be dangerous and tough to beat but let's not downgrade our selves too much.

Business men do not consider things like that when making decisions. If they intended to sign three more Nigerians, they'll do so

No one is downgrading the super eagles team.

I am saying things the way they are. Our strikers are not tournament tested unless nacho is ready to bring his EPL form then the SE might triumph, firing a coach, mishandling of invitation list. Etc

Nooo acknowledge your bias. That's the honest thing to do. You have very strong bias for 'innit players' (as humility33 calls them)
And really there's nothing bad about it. We all have our biases. But to constantly put down certain players in the name of objectivity gives you away. You think you are the most objective person here but you are not. Imagine that for over two weeks you talk negatively about Nwakali everyday and your points are basically the same - Every goddamn day.

Think am ooo

Forget that thing boss... Algerian fans used to invade Leicester Facebook page around the period Mahrez wanted to leave.. It was like war! They came in droves..It didn't stop Leicester from signing another Algerian, Rashid Ghezzal (he was tipped to send Iheanacho packing grin).

4 Burkinabes players have tested positive .ahead of tomorrow's match. The coach said the four players are the main players, and the captain started a protest against the result. Expert in the house, please, what are the rules concerning Covid 19 in Afcon? Imagine all goalkeepers in a team tested positive or all Nigerian midfielders test positive before a second-round match against Algeria. I need clarity. I doubt this tournament will be free from controversies
