AFTER YOU FINISH POINTING BRAVE MEN OUT TO FULANI FOREIGNERS, WHEN THEY THINK THE COAST IS CLEAR, THEY MOVE IN AND KILL YOU, SAME WAY THEY KILLED YOUR BROTHER. IF U KNOW LIFE IS TOO SWEET FOR YOU TO DEFEND OUR LAND, PLEASE, SHUT UP YOUR STINKING MOUTH AND ALLOW THOSE THAT ARE LAYING THEIR LIFE ON THE LINE TO DO SO IN PEACE. WE CANNOT BE FIGHTING FOREIGN ISLAMIC ARMY AND BE EXCHANGING WORD WITH IN-HOUSE COWARDS. THEY HAVE MURDERED SCORES AGAIN IN ENUGU, WE HAVE NOT HEARD ONE WORD AGAIN FROM YOU. hammer567: I agree with this post. Someone is already taking money to hang village almanacs as potential public advertisement spaces inside the terminal building! Soon, they will turn the wonderfully modern edifice to resemble a village town hall with all sorts of paper advertisements hanging all over the place. You wonder why they will spend so much money to make glass railings, build a world-class terminal building and then deface it with hanging all sorts of analog local print-outs as one ad or another. Why can't they truly aim at making this airport stand out as a truly international airport of global standard? Why must they make it look like a Nigerian local/ domestic airport with all sorts of analog ads pasted on the walls or hanging all over the place? What happened to use of electronic display boards like other international airports such as in the picture? In that way, they can intermittently allow one ad. to show to a specified number of minutes, and then the screen will change to the next ad. I truly hope they employ an interior decor person before they totally make the terminal building look like a typical village hall the way they have already started. Perhaps Obiano should start visiting the place again so they won't deface the place. 12 Likes 4 Shares

They should aswell install the escalator as soon as possible and make the interior look more digital. Kudos to them for what they have done so far but more still need to be done. I am glad with the impressive traffic being recorded at the airport. That means in few years to come, we will be talking about expanding the terminal building or even building a new terminal (Terminal 2) in order to Meetup with the capacity of people the airport is hosting; like we see in advance world. And the good news is that the money may no longer come from the state treasury but from the revenue generated in the airport. 4 Likes |

New Anambra airport records 142 flights, 3,865 passengers in one month – Official The airport was opened for commercial services on December 7 last year. ByAgency Report January 9, 2022 1 min read The newly inaugurated Anambra Cargo Airport has recorded 142 flights with 3,865 passengers landing and taking off from the airport after one month of the opening of the facility. The airport was opened for commercial services on December 7, 2021. The Anambra Commissioner for Works, Marcel Ifejiofor, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Umueri, near Awka, where the airport is located. He said that although the flight and passenger figures surpassed projections when compared with the airport’s contemporaries, it would have been more, if more airlines were using the airport. NAN reported that so far, only Air Peace and United Nigeria Airlines are landing and taking off at the Anambra Airport. Mr Ifejiofor, who is also the head of the Anambra State Airport Project Committee, said the airport contributed significantly to easing passenger traffic during the yuletide. He said that passengers who would have landed at Asaba and Enugu Airports flew straight into the Anambra airport. “Anambra Airport is a hub, there is no place you can’t go to in Nigeria from Anambra State. We are just scratching the surface in terms of activities that will take place here.” Also speaking, Martin Nwafor, the managing director of the Anambra Airport Management Authority, said the service quality at the airport has continued to improve. ⓘ Mr Nwafor said that all the regulatory agencies in the aviation sector, including the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, among others, were now domiciled at the airport. He said there had not been “any issue” since the opening of the airport and that the airport management was prepared to handle issues as they arose. Mr Nwafor said workers deployed to the airport were trained and that they had been given sufficient orientation on how to do their job. 5 Likes |

Upon restricting the type (Size) of aircraft operating in the airport; the airport still records encouraging traffic. Imagine what will happen when Airbus and cargo flights start landing and taking off in the airport. Together we can make Anambra great. 6 Likes
