Does Swift and spectranet work well in Abeokuta? I’m considering it because of the unlimited night browsing.

Wow, it's been a while since I dropped by this thread. However, I'm just passing through to let y'all know Hynet Flex is absolute trash.
Whatever you do, even if they tell you MTN Hynetflex is the last network in the Milky Way Galaxy, don't you ever buy it. Better to go cave man style and go off-grid than to buy it.
Before I bought mine, I received mixed reviews. Now, I can safely say, hardly anyone gave a more accurate what's up with the router than Bastardson.

What's my experience on it?
PERFORMANCE
The Cat 4 Router doesn't improve your network speed or give you more stable connection even with LAN cable. Frankly, there's no difference between it and my phone's hotspot. It's the same damn experience, if anything it's only slightly better, but insignificant.
Also, the router modifications don't reflect. The DMZ Settings, Static IP for NAT type, uPnP don't reflect at all. This is for those considering using it on a PS4.
Verdict: It's not worth it for gaming or anything.

DATA BONUS
The 120GB is legit, all those people saying it drains fast, or that they just watched a few Netflix movies on it and it exhausted, don't know what they're talking about. The 120GB was 120GB. That's really the only thing that helped me recoup my losses.
As for subscription, it claimed to give double data for a few months, well I doubt it works on the standard data plans. I didn't bother trying the Hynet plans.

Also, the new Hynetflex routers come with some Micro Ups that doesn't have a power off button instead of a battery, so it is perpetually on.

Why did I share this?
As I said earlier, most reviewers don't even know what they're talking about. This is to clear those who are even considering the Hynetflex router.
If anything, the person who gave the Router the last green light that made me purchase it as we both used it for the same purpose, rage quit a few days ago and bought an universal Mifi with Airtel sim.
Right now, I've used the 120GB bonus down to 3.4GB, it expires tomorrow 14/01/22, exactly 1 month since I bought it. If anything good came out of this, it was that I basically got a free Router if you compare the data bonus cost with standard cost. Also, I don't have to use my phone as a hotspot.

But I warned you against it.

I have tried well over 9 networks, spending over 300k in the process to discover the best network for gaming..

I am using Swift for now, not the best, but serves my purpose for now.

Can't Activate Here in Nigeria. You need to first activate in the USA. Before you can use it anywhere else.

Why not buy a TP-Link universal router.. That way if one network is doing rubbish, you can switch SIM card.. I switch between Spectranet, swift and MTN presently.

Swift and Spectranet for games that are strict about Nat Types.. E.g Fifa and CTR.

Meanwhile, do you play fortnite ?

And I will still like if I can call you so we can talk better or instead for security reasons let me drop my number.you can just flash me...07035811522.thanks

Man, you did. Swift was the best option but it wasn't sustainable for me. Warzone drains my data, at least 1GB a day (about 5 to 6 hrs of gameplay).
Swift sub plans would burn me out faster than MTN. If anything, MTN's shenanigans is a small price to pay for a more cost effective playtime...

Better don't climb mast. Lmao. grin grin grin
I'm a tad surprised people still use Ntel. I wonder how the experience is like now.
As for the speed throttling, last I checked, there's nothing you can do about it except subscribing for higher plans. Either their plans with no FUP or higher data threshold.

I'm not conversant with routers. @Bastardson recommended one to someone earlier, consider that.

Even if there was FUP, shouldn't the speed be reasonable until the FUP threshold is crossed? The speed seems throttled from the moment you subscribe, never going beyond 5mbps...

Oh, is that what you meant? If you believe FUP is activated the moment you sub, I'm afraid you're wrong. That's just Ntel being Ntel. It's why I said I was surprised people still use Ntel. What you're experiencing is the reason why a couple of us on this thread stopped using Ntel.

Ntel was wonderful bout a few years ago, but I had to intentionally misplace my sim after they developed certain issues out of the blue. Connection issues: slow speed (unlike standard throttling), frequent disconnections and difficulty subscribing. The Ntel I left and the Ntel you described are similar. Though, I'm not aware of their latest developments.

As to why it's like this, I believe it was due to some form of sabotage, either external pressure or from internal incompetence. For something that felt like a dreamy solution to internet problems in the country to just get decimated, doesn't sound normal.

Quite unfortunate for me then. And I took a break from Swift's unlimited plan with throttled speed at 5mps, thinking ntel was better .

By the way, what unlimited plan are you on now/which do you recommend?

I don't do unlimited plans. Although, I use an average of 150GB every month, unlimited is an overkill for my needs plus I don't want to deal with that throttling nonsense.
Seems these days most of the unlimited plans na scam. Lol, I remember using 230GB with N3,500 in about 5 days on Ntel back then.
