codemaniacs: Nwakali came to England on the exception allowed for work permit, which is exceptional talent. He was supposedly the best in the world from the U17 world cup. Nwakali came on the same framework as KC. However, Arsenal discovered he was not as good as they had speculated. I mean they signed him on a 5 year contract. When he arrived Saka, Smith Row, Falorin were 12/13 Willock and Maitland were his age group and he wasn't better or up to thier level. Nwakali needs to first of show quality in his club and league he has played in Europe for five years plus and nobody has considered him good enough. That's why he has remained in the Segunda even his stats are not encouraging. What is surprising is how he got into the SE. I don't know a Championship side that will take him even league one it will not be easy for him. So he needs to really up his game, you don't come to the SE to learn football you come to showcase it. 1 Like |

Subzero047: Because when Aribo was playing the midfield was not existent and that's the whole point of most of our criticism of the team. Aribo is athletic with an eye for goal but our midfield keep suffering. You can play Aribo if you chose to and still win matches but your team will have to rely only on wing play because Aribo is not mobile nor creative...he rarely moves with the ball. As for Nwakali , you are sure of possession and control of midfield with his inclusion , though he is not a very physical player and is not athletic like Aribo. 1 Like |

Abeg make dem take araldite gum Sadiq and Nwakali to the bench for the rest of this competition. I have seen enough and come to the conclusion they're farmers and a waste of space in the squad. Terem Moffi/Cyriel Dessers deserve to be in the squad ahead of Sadiq. Akinkumi Amoo/Alhassan Yusuf deserve to be in the squad ahead of Nwakali. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

Good result thank God. We didn't play champagne football but our quality stood out. Pity the penalty call put a damper on a dominant performance. Good news is there is still room for improvement.. Moses Simon clear Motm. Happy to see Awoniyi get his goal but needs to be sharper. senior man was a bit quiet today. Ndidi and Aribo professional performance from them. Ekong better all round performance. solid display from the fullbacks too. Maduka little bit sloppy today. I'm not Nwakali's biggest fan but let's be fair he was decent and tidy. He didn't set the world on fire with his display but at the very least he kept the possession ticking. Umar was very poor today no sugar coating it needs to step up. All round positive display room for improvement. 2 Likes |

Nwakali is the Jorginho of the super Eagles A player grossly misunderstood at this Early stages But he will become important and loved with time, and a run of games. In my eyes, he was magnificent today. But players like him suffer unfair criticism because most soccer fans do not understand them , what they do, and why they bring to their team's midfield. As for sodiq... You never know what to expect from him. One day he is Messi and Ronaldo rolled into one... On another he becomes so atrocious you'll wonder how he became a pro. But one thing you should never do is write him off! Sodiq will show up in his own time, it is what it is. 10 Likes |

safarigirl: Madam, he pushed 16 passes into/in opposition half out of the 24 he laid on. He kept our passing game in the middle tidier than the Jaga Jaga passing we had in the first half. Try to relax and understand these middle game dynamics. Na wa. 1 Like 1 Share

TheSuperNerd: Do you know stats are only indicative not conclusive . You can do twenty accurate short passes that do nothiny and have no impact on the game between you and your Midfield as you keep possession. Nwakali had little impact on the game he brought NOTHING. |

I have said it and i will keep on saying it, "Okoye is a suspect!!!!" Also playing Aina and chukwueze on the same flank is suicidal.. What is the football reason that justifies the leapfrog of a player like Nwakali into a tournament squad? 2 Likes 1 Share |

Tbh its shocking seeing the nwakali slander here....same people who would sing praises of jorginho, busquets are the same bashing him, apart from that time he dallied on the ball and was dispossed i think he did what was expected of him which was to keep possesion of the ball... Sentiments aside nwakali had a decent performance today, make una cut am some slack abeg 8 Likes |

Simon is good but he needs to work on his crossing... Next game should carry our second 11, I think they will be more hungry. I was expecting coach to replace iheanacho with iwobi, he would have been more useful in d middle with his passes. 1 Like |

Nwakali seems to have lost his midas touch he once had, the guy was just playing back pass throughout the game, eguavon should let us see onyeka and drop nwakali to the bench,he seems useless going forward |

Good game awoniyi my man thanks for silencing your critics more goals to your boot, mr Moses well deserved always doing the lord's work on the flanks, general ndidi standing strong in the midfield battle as always and ekong be looking like prime Carlos puyol, Aina should watch it he shouldn't be pulling an opponent shirt recklessly going forward, chukwueze a decent performance but seems not sure what decision he should make sometimes hence him dragging the ball on his foot and defender doubling up on him, hoping he gets better going forward, as for sodiq there is always room for improvement, nwakali well to me he actually came in to play to the coach instructions, Iwobi looks good, aribo my man worth of that number 10 jersey I don't care what doubters says and okoye man looks like suspect most times and had a jetli moment from miscalculation but also can stay strong and confidence going forward. The meme below is actually for okoye 7 Likes

Omanambala: Aribo was good going forward. Aribo attacked the box very well and could have had a goal or assist if he was more aware in the box. The only thing is while in the middle, Aribo and Ndidi tried to pass their way through tight spaces and closed markings. They should have avoided the press by spreading play a bit more and even going backwards to recycle and rebuild again. They failed to do this and this explains why we lost possession much more in that first half. But Aribo had a good game overall. He was even more hardworking than Ndidi today up until when he was replaced. Ndidi stat-padded the rest after Aribo left. Nwakali brought calm to the middle and kept things tidy. We lost possession less with him in the middle. That's for sure. Iwobi also helped in dictating plays alongside Nwakali. But Aribo remains my starter. That's non-negotiable. 2 Likes 2 Shares

Hanibal: Well it seems the whole of the coaching staff at Arsenal, MVV Maastricht, Venlo, Porto B and even Huesca in the Segunda Division where he is the second lowest paid player in his club. Seem not understand him. So not just the fans but all the coaching staff in that have been involved with him apart from the NFF coaching staff who have given him undue opportunity. 1 Like |

Stormtrooper11: Ndidi couldn't hide his frustration. His fans are saying he looked calm on the ball , maintained possession , blah blah.. Make we jam country like Cameroon. Nwakali will be so badly exposed. Everybody will get to see he's a wack player.. Imagine frank the Tank on the bench and you are bringing Nwakali into the game.. Dude does not have the energy to play against top level opposition. We will see it soon. Let Eguaveon continue to give him exposure at the expense of our team play. 5 Likes 1 Share |
