About crrency most French countries make use of cefa and I can’t tell you it is worst than Naira considering purchasing power. Another thing you will consider is will the man be faithful when you get ther, like paying on time, giving you the necessary support that will make you settle down before you can don other things yourself. If he can do that, then you won’t regret it. Lastly another advantage for you is the exchange rate earning in cefa is better because it has the same value with Naira. I got a contact who connected me to a proprietor in cote d'ivoire who needs teachers. He said the pay will be 90,000cfa monthly. He offers to allow me stay in the school residence for a period of 6 months till I find my own residence.

I want to know if 90kcfa will be enough to live comfortably in cote d'ivoire after paying for house rent which I inquired is paid monthly and can be as high as 30k-50cfa monthly.

Will this be a better move than the 30k job I have presently?

Cote d'ivoire is a better option. Once you travel to a third world country, your mindset is to go to a second world country or 1st world. Go to cote d'ivoire my brother.. you go learn French but the kind of french you go learn for cote d'ivoire na pidgin French. It is not really an ideal country to learn the best of french. It is like going to Nigeria wanting to learn English. You and I know say na pidgin English you go learn. Na so e be for cote d'ivoire.

Before you enter. Make sure you buy items in Nigeria so you can sell in cote d'ivoire. Food is very cheap ,transport is ok, inflation is at a minimal but price of other commodities is high.

90k FCFA can only pay for your One month rent for a selfcon, so do not try it even if you've been promised accommodation for 6 months. Teachers here both in public and private schools are well paid, their minimum payment should be about 150k - 250k FCFA and some are paid as much as 400k FCFA monthly. To live and work here is not not easy, so get the best of bargain before you move.

First of all, I will like you to know that I'm an authority in the subject matter because I live in a French country myself.

If you don't have goals, even in Nigeria, na suffer dey wait for you. Hence you must have your goals.

Now if one of your goals is to travel out of the shores of Nigeria, I'll advice you take the offer. In reality, it's the same as your present situation because when your rent and utilities are paid, what you'll have left is just what you earn in Nigeria now. But then, you've become a responsible person. You're responsible for your own life and not someone else.

Secondly, you seem like a smart guy. Your command of the English language will put extra coins in your pocket because many French people want to speak the English language but they don't have access to good tutors and the number of good English tutors does not meet the need by locals. So you have an edge here.

Lastly, cote d'ivoire is ripe for the taking in terms of the search for the English language. I work in a bilingual school in Cotonou and for a few years now, someone has been disturbing my boss to come open a branch in Abidjan and that within 2 years, she would have recovered her investment. Whether the offer is true or false, it is pointer to the fact that the country will favour English tutors or bilingual schools.

All in all, it's your life. The decision is yours to make.

They are still largely controlled by France hence the stability you see in their currency valuation and all west African countries uses the same currency.

90k cfa is small if you will be staying in areas like treichville, plateau, cocody, even Marcory (Housing is expensive in these areas)

If accommodation is covered and your daily transport is covered, It may be possible, depending on where you live.
If not, with 90 000 CFA, you will suffer.
