Kobojunkie:Isn't it hypocrisy listening to these gospel rock stars at home and pretending to not listen to them in church? Ironically all the songs from all these rock stars are sung by a youth choir, song from guy penrod etc |

sgtponzihater1: Christianity guarantees suffering, all that will live godly must suffer. But if you call not dressing naked or going to night club suffering, well you're in your own world. DL members for a very very long time and percentage of their existence have not been denied the best foods spiritually, abundance of life, joy, good education, music, professions, promotion and the many basic goodies of life. If you feel pained that they miss/missed out by not watching TV, hello i have big TVs almost everywhere, i have not watched one minute of TV this year. i do use it/them for other functions though. Oyedepo was telling young people the other year not to waste their lives on TV, phone and internet. So what exactly was missed. BTW, 360 degree is no turn but same thing, i guess you want to say 180degrees which would be a lie. The Deeper life i know still doesn't "permit" those things you mentioned. God doesn't change but His children including Peter and Paul are being constantly CHANGED into God's image. There are twists and turns when God truly leads you, otherwise it will just be an unchanging straight down. 2 Likes |

Nezzjnr: Speak for yourself ( those castigating Catholic Church, many are greedy men who's intentions were to steal church funds to enrich themselves but we're stopped by the Catholic rules, and opened their own church and starts preaching whatever they like and uses church funds as they like ), Catholic Church is the mother church and it's rules and methods of worship is very simple and respected by every members of the church including the POPE and it's no respeccter of any person because it's not found under greedy men who only wants to enrich themselves and their families with church money. |

haconjy:No. Deeper Life is about to grow. It's about to evolve. Which is normal. If Pastor Adeboye of RCCG had followed the template of his predecessor (the founder), the church would not have grown to this extent. It woulda remained a local Yoruba only church. Kumuyi is just trying to pave the way for the new Pastor, so people will not be shocked when he (the new pastor) introduces some new concepts. Funny thing is, Pastor Kumuyi had hinted something like this about a decade ago. People, both members and non members, are just getting the gist now. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Pastor David Ibiyeomi built a new home for the elderly and handed it over to the Catholic Church. If your pastor do the same how will you rate him They will never tell the truth no matter what. As long as the money is flowing in, they don't care. If you're not a Catholic, do not see yourself as fool, you have been played and used. Nezzjnr: |

daughters13: What is this nonsense. You Christian fanatics and fundamentalist will receive the greatest shock of your lives on judgement day. God did and has not appoint any man on Earth to be the gatekeeper of heaven or the judge of what is acceptable worship. If you look through the Bible, then probably you'll understand what the Bible says about praise and worship so all you holier than Christians can fūck off. The only authority in Christianity is the Bible and revelation of God to man not your self righteous, better pass my neighbour Christianity. Imagine protesting the invitation of a minister who came to praise and worship God in the church. Rubbish 4 Likes 1 Share |

rikithor: You must be a very selfish carnal man. So all you care about is that something helped you. What about the billions of other people that it doesn't help? One will have thought you had some solid ground to stand on like the Bible and God's move through you in saving souls and bringing some mighty Revival. But nothing, all you have are judgmental minds and devilish accusations to cast on people that are actually doing something. 2 Likes 1 Share |

daughters13:The point is it is in the scriptures to praise God with timbrels, dancing and noise when it is the time set in Worship Services for such. Hymns also have their place. If you don’t see what the leadership of the church has seen you are best advised to leave and go elsewhere that fits your bill. It is not in good taste to stay in DLBC and be throwing stones. It is divisive. You could get into trouble with God. The church of God knows no such practice. Let Everyman be fully persuaded. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Africans and religion na one no be two, na why we be mumu be dat. Christianity is about your own personal conviction, not rules of man. Nigeria Christians are so lazy even including me that we don't seek personal spiritual growth by reading bible and praying in our secret domain, but all we do is to follow all what G.O or pastors said and also the doctrine of the church. I don't see anything bad with Dunsin's and Bassey's music. 1 Like 1 Share |

This man is wearing eye-glass, is it Biblical? The Hymn he is referring to, if he knew some of those that wrote them personally he would have still referred to them as unrighteous. I like Deeper life but I dislike the "we against them'" mentality which makes them see themselves as the only righteous or puritan Christians. But of course, he has lived that way for ages and it might take him a while to adjust to the changes happening around him. He stood and worshipped inside a church that was constructed by "sinners". Did he ask if the workers of the company that built that church were all born-again before he agreed to worship inside? 1 Like 1 Share |

I grew up in DCLM and I've been a worshipper all my life. But while growing up I realized some of the doctrines of our church are man-made and not Holy Spirit inspired. I remember some years back around 2014 during question and answer time after our STS on a Sunday like this, Someone asked a question at IBTC, "Are all this contemporary musicians of today truly worshipping God and why is it that we don't invite them to our congregation. Pastor Kumuyi himself happened to answer that most of this musicians are singing for money and not to worship or glorify God. So today, if he's inviting thesame people he has condemned in the past he should let us know the church is not offering them cash price to entertain her members. If he is changing his stands he should do this with convincing explanation why there is need for that and not leave his flocks to figure out things in there own. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Christianity without modesty is erroneous. Dressing and actions are physical yardsticks to measure modesty. If your heart is clean, let not your dressing and action say otherwise. If your dressing is modest but your heart and actions are dirty, try purify the heart and the actions. The state of my heart cannot be easily understood by other people. But my dressing and words can be easily evaluated by humans. Stop saying that dressing does not define you. If dressing does not define you, wear sports wear to a bank interview or wear suite to play football. |

safesurfer:How do you people even term growth sef. Is it by accumulating members... Planting branches here and there??.... God is more concerned about the souls that are won for him than having numbers..... Do you see how most Rccg Pastors behave. I'll hate to admit this... Rccg has lost it... Adeboye gave a lot of them free hands and it's late already. What shall it profit a Man if he should gain the whole world and lose his own soul. |

I have not disagreed with you on anything here, but on this one you got it wrong bro. I am a deeper life member to the core. Pastor Kumuyi has not changed a dime, these modifications are very very necessary as the move of God in the last days knows no boundary. God is the God of all flesh, you cannot continue to dwell on non scriptural doctrines to enslave people and scare those who needs to be save away. quote author=Righteousness2 post=109594994]Brother, as a young man born in Deeper life Bible Church in the Early 80's and Grommed in DLBC until 2004 when I moved to the The Lords Chosen, I must say you have a very Valid Protest! I Perceive GOD is using you to Pass a Very Strong Message to HIS Church and HIS servant. The ways of GOD ALMIGHTY are not the ways of Men. The ALMIGHTY HOLY GOD will not change HIS Standard because of a Changing World. I Pray HIS Servant and one of the Core Holiness Apostles and Generals of this Generation, Pastor WF Kumuyi takes note of this Peaceful Protest.[/quote] 2 Likes |
