Again, if I have so far been obeying His command to teach His Gospel to those in the world, yet none of those I have taught have seen fit to repent and be baptized by me to be saved, for instance, what exactly are my to work harder at? undecided
In three years!?
Then something is wrong somewhere?

If I mis-plant, I could be seen as working but in 20 years without a change in my error, nothing different will happen.

Contradict what I said above.
Are you females not the reason Muslims call Christianity the religion of nudity and indecency?
You have brought nothing but reproach and disgrace to the Faith Jesus shed His blood for.
Tell me how a supposed godly person will wear body-hugging, skin-tight, boobs-flaunting, thighs-revealing outfit.
You people need help seriously.
We are tired of the bad name and image your gender is giving to Christianity.
Change or leave the church for those who will shun worldly appearance.
Did Mary the mother of Jesus fix and paint her nails, did she wear fake hair, did she paint her face and lips, did she wear skirts that accentuate her butts?
You people want to claim you're Christians, but dress like Jezebel.
Repent. Hell fire awaits all of you, unless you quit your addiction to worldly fashion.
Shalom.

Blind pastor, i am not even female. In Christ Jesus, there is neither male or female, jew or greek. Stop being a misogynist, it is a sickness and a sin. Sin is not gender biased. All have sinned is what the scriptures say, the scriptures preaches nothing like the misogyny message you are brainwashed into. Hate, unforgiveness, pride, immorality, deceit, greed, murder, idolatry. These and the likes are the weighty matters of sin well mentioned in the Bible. You are likely guilty of a couple of them, and all genders suffer from them. You have not mentioned any of these in all your epistle. You seem riveted by the devil to the female body. Pele pastor, open your eyes and open your Bible.

If Jesus cannot be wrong, then the problem would be us.

If I keep planting as instructed and I see no germination, the problem is not with the command but with my activity or my personality.

We all need wisdom that our seeds will not everytime land on the footpath!

So what exactly is wrong and by what standard do you degree it so? undecided

I am not the planter here.... Jesus Christ made it clear in His parables that the planter is God, not man. I am simply a servant obeying his Masters command to go teach the New Covenant Law which He taught to me to others, baptizing them..... I am doing exactly what the master said to do. Now my Master did not dictate a quota even as far as baptisms in a lifetime but you insist that no baptisms in over 3 years is bad. And I keep asking you, by what or whose standard, yet you refuse to respond. undecided

The footpaths, the good soil etc., refer to the hearts of those in the world you teach God's Law to. You can't change the heart of any man you teach God's Law to - no man can do that at all. So, if i happen to have preached all this while to men whose hearts are rocky paths or thorny paths in description , why is that an error on my path? undecided

If God has been leading me thus far to all that I have preached to, why is it my fault or a bad thing that I have had none to baptize in that time? undecided

You really publicize your ignorance if you don't know that indecent and immoral dressing is immorality, hate for men they cause to lust after them and sin. So you don't know that addiction to worldly fashion is idolatry. You don't know that worldly fashion is deceit?
There is a way ignorant fellows can hide their ignorance. It is simple, by keeping their mouth shut in public forum like Nairaland.
You are not someone I can educate since you claim to know so much, yet know little actually.
STOP defending immorality and IDOLATRY. STOP promoting what God hates.
REPENT.

The word of God is the SEED
The field is the HEART of men

The Son of Man is the Sower through US.

If we ALL choose not to obey the instruction (from the Son of Man) of preaching the word , unless stones stand up to preach, nothing is sown.

That's why the Son of man said:
I am the Vine, You are the Branches: because we are extensions of Him

So many things can be wrong with a Preacher of Christs words
1. He may be preaching without knowledge
2. he could preach without the help form God's Spirit
3. His character may stand against him
4. His method may be without wisdom
5. He could be in the wrong field

The field is not outside, it is everywhere we are. Christ has sent us to everybody.

Kumuyi has lost lots and lots of chances of becoming the number One Nigerian Pastor due to his unprofessional and undiplomatic teachings. Now that he's getting old and more or less irrelevant in the political affairs of his country he wants to retrace his steps in order to gain more admirers inside out.
Well it's too late because those following him right from their birth will not take it lightly with him. Many of them would have become Sammy Okposo in the ministry but were discouraged as they look onto Kumuyi as their model. Now that he's inviting musicians from outside who has been helping to populate and keep other churches under their pastors he must face the music! embarassed

1. He may be preaching without knowledge
Having zeal but not even understanding the message of salvation
2. he could preach without the help form God's Spirit
Relying on head knowledge and experience forgetting that every case is different
3. His character may stand against him
He fights with everyone and is Easily provoked and want to preach the gospel of Christ
4. His method may be without wisdom
He feels that shouting on people's head is what make the word of Christ sink inside the heart
5. He could be in the wrong field

He always goes inside the night club to preach.
APC and PDP are having their rally and that is the best place he has chosen to go and preach

Above are some examples. These are not exhaustive at all.

You made the assumption that God has to LEAD you to a person before you can preach the gospel to him/her. This is NOT true.

Let me give you an analogy:
It is the duty of a policeman to arrest ANY criminal and curtail their activities.

It is possible that the president can directly ask the police to arrest the criminal called "MC Baddo". But no policeman can give himself an excuse of not arresting a criminal because he has not been directly assigned the case.

So it is with Evangelism. It is like the question: Who is my neighbour? Your neighbor is not the one you were led to by God but ALL within the field of your influence.

The instruction is to go INTO the World and preach the good news to ALL creation.

If I approached a random individual and the Spirit of God speaks no Truth through me, doesn't that invariably mean He has not led me to that person? undecided

You pointed out in your many examples that a potential problem exists in not trying to preach without the help of the Spirit of Truth, or are you here backtracking on that claim you made earlier? undecided

2. In the same token, there is also a directive that states we are not speak our own words to those we approach in His name, but instead be led by the Spirit of Truth to speaking the Truth of God. undecided

The Spirit of Truth is meant to guide and lead us wherever He will and we are meant to follow His lead not lead Him where we will instead. undecided

3. Anyways, question 3 also remains unanswered. This because you still have yet to make clear why exactly you believe it to be wrong to preach X many years without a single recorded baptism. What scripture tells you this? . undecided

Since you think it's the Lord who has not directed you to the "fertile hearts", could it also mean that
1. The Lord only directs you to infertile hearts?
2. The Lord seldom send you to people
3. You remain inactive unless you specifically hear the Lord send you to a particular person.

The Holy Spirit is resident in every true disciple of Christ. As A servant of Christ, I don't worry about what to say to anyone at any time because the Holy Spirit will speak through me. A worst case scenario is when I am brought to trial because of my faith in Christ, He will give me words to speak: how much more when I decide to obey His direct command by preaching His gospel?

Let me ask you these questions
1. Was Peter led by Christ to the lame man at the beautiful gate?
How?
2. When Jesus sent out the 12 disciples, were they assigned to specific people in Israel?
Who decides who get to hear the gospel?

3. What do you think this scripture mean
Mat 10:11:
"And into whatever city or town you shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till you go there."

Why should they inquire?

I think I've answered this in the last post

"And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet."

1. Well, I don't really think at all about where He directs me. I simply follow as He leads and when I am done, He moves me on to the next and I go. You are the one who wants to make an issue of the fact that I have not baptized anyone in the last 3 years - and I am still trying to understand why you believe that is a problem. undecided

▪︎ Here's how I see this. Jesus Christ, who had the disciples by His side during His lifetime, preached the Gospel to at least 5000 people that we know of and He healed at least several hundreds that we are told of. Now, if as at the time of His death, He had about 120 followers, who am I to complain? undecided

It's His Kingdom and I am called to obey His commandment which is all I can and will do. He knows better than I and He knows why He keeps me where He continues to. I ask and I expect and I continue to work as I am told to. If He wants me to baptize someone, He will make that happen. So, you have to understand that I don't see what you see at all. undecided

And true to what Jesus Christ said, in my experience, it is His lead that I am meant to follow. Not that He is meant to follow my lead. undecided

He leads me into situations, trials etc., and He puts the Words on my tongue and speaks them through me. undecided
As for your questions, can we leave them for another discussion entirely since I am more interested in having you in fact establish clearly what you seem to claim is the wrongness of my current situation. undecided

2. I am afraid I don't follow. What are you suggesting there with Mark 10 vs 14 in this case? Recall, that what I said is I have not baptized anyone in the last 3 years. So how does Mark 10 vs 14 work into that?, undecided
I used Matthew 10:14

Mat 10:11-14:
"And into whatever city or town you shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till you go there. And when you come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come on it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet."

It gives us the model. The keyword there is WHOSEVER!

We are not to wait for any special sign to obey a direct command.
To all the world we go and to everyone I can interact with

Huh? undecided
First, The Holy Spirit had not come at the time of Jesus Christ sending His disciples out into the cities around Israel. undecided

And second, having the Spirit of Truth lead you has nothing to do with waiting for magical signs in order to obey Jesus Christ. He in fact leads you to doing what you are to do.... undecided
Imagine a situation where you were blind, or a child and had someone there to guide you where to go. You don't know where to go of your own or what direction to head in, so you depend on your guide and you trust that He will always lead you right. That is kinda how it works. undecided

If you already know where to go and what to do on your own and are self-assured, you wouldn't need a guide and a Helper now, would you? undecided

No. Deeper Life is about to grow.

It's about to evolve. Which is normal. If Pastor Adeboye of RCCG had followed the template of his predecessor (the founder), the church would not have grown to this extent. It woulda remained a local Yoruba only church.

Kumuyi is just trying to pave the way for the new Pastor, so people will not be shocked when he (the new pastor) introduces some new concepts.

Funny thing is, Pastor Kumuyi had hinted something like this about a decade ago.

People, both members and non members, are just getting the gist now.

I saw this late brother!
You called it growing because its worldly informed...

Brother, you will understand when time comes.

Look, I already understand. I'm a moderate conservative. Born in Deeper Life. I understand bro.

I've personally known many hardcore conservative members of my church who after consideration of certain things became liberal minded and left the church. At the time when they were still religiously hot headed, they thought I wasn't spiritual enough. But I'm still a lifer today, and they're nowhere to be found.

Yourself will understand better bro, in time to come. The goal is to try and get sinners to be saved. And if that requires some flexibility, then so be it. That was Paul's resolve in I Corinthians 9:
1 Corinthians 9:20-23
[20]And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
[21]To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
[22]To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
[23]And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

Observe the bolded and understand that at this time, the Church, even Deeper Life, might be planning to reach all manner of people and may have to reconsider its rigid stance on some issues.

But what do I even know? It's not like I'm part of the Council of elders, lol.

But let's just watch and see.

You only obey when it suits you, why can't you obey NOW without complaining. Why are you complaining and murmuring about your leader? Like you said, you obeyed because it helped you. What about the many others that it didn't help, that it chased and chases away? Did you ever stop thinking about your selfish self and think about others? Do you ever think about God's Word? Is it God's Word or your church tradition? Is it a major or a minor issue? Already you are thinking of my destination and me repenting, not because of anything found in the Bible but it's of course all about you. i don't have your worldview therefore i should find mummy GO for my destination. i know you're trying to make it on a light note but it's so reflective of you and unfortunately many "holiness" church members who hardly have any holiness except by church affiliations.

Sorry,we can't trace any point made from your comments above, yet
