darkelf:Honestly you are a case Why on earth the defeat of the eagles gives you joy and relevance despite you being an "eagles fan" is what I'm yet to know. Atleast with Gustav and the other fellow we know their stand. Even the southies and ghananains that come here to fight are not this negative. If your own aim coming here is to ridicule our chances and spelling doom for our chances is what you can offer, are you a super eagles fan at all?. You are not the only one with concerns about the team and our chances in this tourney. Even the purple guy expressed caution with the way we were hyping the team but it didn't stop him from celebrating with us. I can't tell you what to do but this one no be am at all. |

TheGoodJoe: For one the red card didn't spoil anything..Gabon were also with a man down and they came out stronger.. It was clear before their goal and our red card that Eguavoen was being out coached.. They figured him out and he failed to adjust.. Throwing on musa and Olayjnka was like a dazed boxer trying to throw open punches that would never land. If Eguaveon cannot figure out in 4 matches the importance of having 3 CMs when his attack is blunted (strikers and wingers isolated) and our defense was under pressure due to Ndidi being overworked, then I dont really fancy him as a coach. His insistence with 442 is simply outdated.. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

Rohr would never have lose that game. But we don't like his style of play because somehow we overhype our players. Approach to League football is far different from cup competition 2 Likes |

Joezinho: Musa came on from driving runs. To an extent, I thought he did well. As for Gahon, if they missed that late chance, they would not have likely equalized. We had the chances to draw level. We missed them. That was it. The coach's job is to help the team create chances. Unfortunately, we did not take them. 1 Like |

minfelix: Eguavoen lost one in four games. In the game he lost, a goal keeping error and a red card made it difficult. Please, leave the Rohr praises aside. We lost unfortunately. Eguavoen did very well and I am proud of him. |

Joezinho:Eguavoen's tactics is more of like "Go into the pitch and do thy best, play this position. If you tire or underperform, I'll change you". Rohr had a tactics, one that we grew tired of. But I don't think we can move forward with Eguavoen, honestly. Players need to be told what to do at times. Freedom can be detrimental. Let's see what Peseiro brings to the table. And hopefully it will be alright. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe:He did well obviously for his capacity. But I'm very concerned now about his style of allowing players do what they want. We became too predictable after the new coach syndrome had worn off. It was obvious yesterday. |

darkelf: Now, listen. For those that have known me here for the past 7 years on this thread, I don't hype any player or group of players. I am usually conservative with my expectations. Infact, I have always mentioned that this current generation of SE is the weakest However, knowing the kind of Pedigree we have as a footballing nation in Africa, I will always expect us to do well in every AFCON, even in the next edition. Yes that is always my expectation. Irrespective of the quality of team we present, we are NIGERIA! The way you celebrated our loss yesterday, I doubt you celebrated our group stage wins. You called me an old man in your other post and so let me give you an elderly advice. Defeat in life starts from the mind. When you so magnify your challenges and obstacles, dwelling so much on them and paying little attention to your strength or abilities, you are bound to get overwhelmed or not even make any attempts. There are lots of positives to take from the 4 matches we played at this AFCON. WE MOVE. 5 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:My brother, losing to Tunisia that lost to Gambia, had their coach out by covid also almost 12 of their players were out due to covid to, we also had an extra day of rest and didn't get to travel like them is a hard pull to swallow ... Ndidi was left as a lone DM, it's not surprising Tunisia's goal came from the midfield, albeit a badly exposed midfield.. Why didn't Eguavoen bring in Onyeka to help out Ndidi? as well as take control of that midfield? He kept throwing more attackers yet the midfield was neglected.. 1 Like |

I wonder why we didn't press them at all in the first half. Eguavoen and his stupeedity cost us that match. I was literally screaming "come out and play you bas*ards". Tunisia virtually didn't have a bench. Run them ragged and they have limited substitution options. Once again, thunder fire Eguavoen. Black Gernot Rohr lower version. At least Rohr had the sense to alternate his strategies sometimes. 3 Likes |

Chuks needs to take a break from the National team walahi. I can't remember the last time he played well for us. I wonder how he regressed so much from the delight he was in 2019 AFCON. Btw please someone should help me get a clip of that epic Sadiq dribble that almost twisted that defender's destiny. I need to rewatch it while reading the comments of Komekn and safarigirl about how Sadiq should have been herding cows instead of playing football. Forget we lost o, I am so happy for that guy because he proved everything I said right about him being a confidence player. With what I saw in those 15 mins he was on, he can give Osimhen a run for his money in that first striker spot self. Guy played like exactly like Isak of Sociedad does. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

TheGoodJoe: How many chances did we create self? We lost because Eguavoen stuck to a tactic the whole world had dissected and laid bare, and he was too inflexible to adapt, the same problem we complained Rohr had. It was an open secret Simon was our talisman, I wonder why he didn't change things up. BTW, leaving Ejuke out of the matchday squad for players like Musa and Iwobi is really a war crime that deserves flogging. At least a consolation is that yesterday Eguavoen was shown why he should never make such blunders again. 1 Like |

drDoom3: It was glaring Eguavoen fell for the trap of big-name players rather than who can get the job done. Else why did Chuks start so many games? |
