even rangers new coach came in immediately and found out that aribo is a massive goal threat and has that touch of magic which prompted him to push him further the pitch either from the flank,10 or 8 position deploying an ndidi, onyeka and aribo would hv made out midfield thick but one epistle writer here wey believe say na em sabi football pass the whole of africa will make you understand that nwakali was the missing link in the team Zanistico: 6 Likes 1 Share |

charlesemeka85: This is exactly why oil no dey your head. Make Midfield thick. What's that? Give it Solid base but with no avenue or skillset to create or line-break through the middle or switch plays with our wingers on lock and keys by the opposition.... Chaaiiii... you make a poor analyst. A very poor one. And didn't I already opine from my own analytical and tactically-versed POV that our first XI approach was a deficient one that would be found out soon enough? The solution you even prefer will not solve it. Rohr lives in you. 6 Likes 2 Shares

elyte89:I'm afraid I'll have to agree with you, the boy kept delaying passes by holding onto the ball for too long and trying to take on 3 opponents at once when it would have been easier to just give a pass. There was a time in the second half he decided to take a direct shot at goal from a virtually impossible angle to score from when someone else was in a better position to make a direct attempt if he had give him a pass. His constant brainless and selfish play from the wings has become his undoing. |

Karlovych:this is where that tactical input we have been harping on since morning comes in in situations like this eguavoen would have instructed him and moses to release passes faster to the nearest man since both have been double marked by the tunisians then later sub chukwueze for iwobi who drifts to the middle often which will draw the 2 markers placed on that position out to make room for aina to bomb forward. also bring in an onyeka for iheanacho to help in the middle then move aribo to the 10 position this is simple tactics which would have neutralized the game plan of the tunisians 1 Like |

if you noticed the tunisians played double full backs and hardly bombed forward just to make sure thst they kept our flankers on check i expected eguavoen to instruct moses and chukwueze to release the ball faster to the nearest man or tell iheanacho to make himself available close to our flankers when ever they re with the ball to ease pressure from them. the tunisians knew that man to man we are far superior than them which made them bring the negative tactics which worked for them they were scared coming out to play because the consequences would have been too brutal its not all about playing pretty football but when the chips are down do we have a plan B or even C? the first 20 mins of the game was enough for our coach to notice the negative style of the tunisians Karlovych: 2 Likes |

It's moments like these that validate Mourinho. It's moments like these that make him look like a world class coach even if he's probably not. Manchester United got rid of him because of style of play, even after winning the UEL. Where are they now? If you want to play sweet attacking football, you need the right set of players. Let me tell you something; The Super Eagles did not win those three matches because of any tactics. No, they won because Nigerians underrated them. Check the history, we perform best when our people doubt us. That way the players feel like they have something to prove. Prior AFCON 2019, Ighalo said something during an interview. He said he loves it when people doubt him because it serves as some sort of motivation to prove them wrong. He went on to become the highest goal scorer in that tournament. But once the praises start coming in, we press the self delete button. Our major problem is that evil spirit of over confidence that has plagued almost every Nigerian team I know of. I hope we've learnt our lesson. Fvckk who you think you are. Fvckk your sense of entitlement. Put your pride in the trash bin and play football. Football is a game of 11 men against 11 men. African teams no dey look face again. Everywhere is dry. Boys need to make a name for themselves. If you slip up, the hyenas will takeover. Who am I kidding? We are not gonna learn shhiiit. We'll probably end up making the same mistakes again. I'm done with my rant. *drops mic* 3 Likes

Icon4s: Noted Sir I apologize for the harsh words directed. But I must let you know something Smir and this is from my heart, I actually mean no harm by my antics here. But I feel the rest of the members of this thread are taking my antics a bit too far. See, I was disappointed deep down when th our performance. I actually wanted the SE to prove me wrong. I would've delivered my public apology here without mincing words. See, you people shouldn't take my banters personal. Because they are just that - banters. But if I went too far, then sorry but please life doesn't begin and end with the SE. The way some of you guys started calling me failure in real life promoted my continual rejoicing. No need insulting one another over a team that doesn't know of our existence individually. My apologies Sir 4 Likes |

darkelf: I told you all Darkelf only put up his "pessimistic" strong wall of catastrophizing as a defence mechanism against any disappointment from this team. Those who have followed his posts keenly as Darkelf and Blueelf will understand why I never was against his trolling. Chief Icon4s also once took a Conservative view on our team when Osimhen was still rising as the next number 9. Icons wasn't too convinced about a lot of these young lads' durability as quality talents. He knew why he took that stance. He has seen generations of talents come and go that looked like world beaters when they first arrived on the scene only to fizzle out or fail to fulfill potential. But he never took his Conservative stance far shaa... even though they sounded not too encouraging at times. In a way, we kinda need some "dark views" from time to time to keep us grounded but deep down I knew Darkelf (aka blueelf of red merseyside) was always and firstly a Super Eagles fan. This Pessimistic stance is just his way of dealing with the loss and disappointment we all experience as fans when our team fail to meet expectations. Darkelf.... thanks for the clarification but please.... don't vanquish your throne. I need you on that throne abeg so that the variety will continue. And so that the Carpentry football list updates will never cease doing its work. Cheers to thee, the one and the only Elf of Darkness.... 2 Likes 1 Share
