Nawaoooo... The way they are making this appointment in church is making me wonder if these are really working for God or themselves. First his wife was the one in charge, that one is understandable in the sense that the both of them started the struggle. But bringing his son to take over from the wife is another way of showing the people that it's clearly family business. However, I am not surprised as most of the pastors have been doing that, but assuming I was a pastor in the church and this happened, I would just resign my calling there and ask God to call me in another place. |

There is nothing new in this. Most of these Pastors are trying not to repeat the mistakes of some of their predecessors. We have seen cases where some G.Os did not involve their family members in the affairs of the Churches they founded. After their demise, the Churches were taken over by total strangers that ignored the basic principles on which those churches were founded and they also sidelined the entire family. It is better to give the baton to those you know will continue to build on the good foundation you already laid. In case you don't know, Bishop David Oyedepo's son is the resident Pastor, Faith tabernacle Ota and He is handling the affairs of the Church very well. Rev. Feb Idahosa & His mother are also overseeing the Church of God Mission founded by Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa. |

Evergreen4:Well said. That's exactly how the founders of these companies called "churches" structured them. It's all about business continuity and sustainability within the family. That's exactly how Oyedepo structured his offshore company - Zadok Investment Limited registered in the British Virgin Islands. If only my friends who continues to pay tithe and sow seeds knows where all their money goes to. 1 Like |

1Sharon: Olodo rabata! Read the News and understand. Did Ashimolowo hand over the church leadership to him? He was made an Associate Pastor o! Resident Pastor 2, for that matter. Someone who doesn't even have the Final say over that particular congregation. The church council is there and all. Did you think Ashimolowo single-handedly appointed him to that position? A conglomerate of churches with Board of trustees. Do you think they are in the Nigerian system? Ewu! You are very biased and bitter. Wake up goat. |

Germi9:God chooses, not man.. Men had always made the same mistake over and over and over again.. Same mistake Samuel did when he wanted to choose a king for Israel when sent to the house of Jesse.. He was a man after all and thought he could train his kids into becoming what he wanted.. Everyone these days are called, but if you never heard God's voice personally, you're not called |

Re: Ashimolowo Makes His Son, Tobi, Resident Pastor Of KICC London (Video) by Thereddevil: 10:03pm On Jan 25, 2022 |
Germi9:That wasn't expected from you.. Nothing i said there made me sound like God, and your point ".. He's in heaven" sounds more like you're not even a Christian.. I read the bible and that's all I do.. I play my part as a chorister and as a church support.. We're humans and we always want our kids to follow our part cos we think we've paved a way and they'd find it easier following the track. . I learned about calling from the same bible and learned everyone called up to the ministerial altar hears his voice.. Might sound unreal to you, but in my music department at church, i wasn't told by anyone, I gave myself to him in prayer and he spoke to me.. Nobody is perfect, you only strive and Grace covers your weakness by helping you win even after a fall.. I hope you get the point without thinking i position myself as a god. I find nothing bad with a pastor placing his son to head his church, after all, God positions his candidate when it's time |
Re: Ashimolowo Makes His Son, Tobi, Resident Pastor Of KICC London (Video) by Germi9: 10:53pm On Jan 25, 2022 |
Thereddevil:I didn’t mean to sound rude in my words nevertheless i find it funny how some of us are quick to judge the church from its weaknesses than the good it has brought to Mankind, weather we like it or not,Christianity has done more good than evil (over to the debaters) YES..I am a Christian am not religious and i believe in my Creator so much,i don’t know if i still possess the gift of hearing from him anymore but sometimes we mistake instincts from devine revelations Furthermore, from deep studies i got to understand that God is not in the firmament as we were made to believe rather he is a spirit who we call Omni Presence which means he is everywhere(don’t ask me to start explaining this) so my friend you may agree with me that Christianity is based on your personal encounter with God and not how the people want you to worship aftrall David, Paul, Jacob (the con man) all these people where infact not in the good books of God but they had a personal understanding of his behavior |
Re: Ashimolowo Makes His Son, Tobi, Resident Pastor Of KICC London (Video) by Thereddevil: 11:05pm On Jan 25, 2022 |
Germi9:I got every point bro.. My comment about what's posted wasn't meant to judge, but to make people understand these people are humans like us and no one is free from having a selfish interest.. Christianity is a personal encounter with God, but if this encounter isn't based on the direct teaching of the Bible, every encounter feels godly even after the devil has taken over.. But all the same, we don't have much control over everything even though we're allowed to make our choices.. And also on where God is positioned, no one can explain it, but many parts of the bible explains He sits in heaven.. This was mentioned by many in the bible, both in the new and old testaments.. But this is another topic on it's own, one first seen in Genesis, explained better in the book of John and made manifest after Christ's physical departure from earth.. God keep us safe tonight brother.. |
