Good day all. Apologies if it’s been discussed before but I can’t seem to find it. Can someone point me in the direction of resources for an architect moving to the uk in terms of finding a job. Regards |

I am not happy here, after putting in all my best in job interview for a PA role in one of the big four accounting firm, i was successful in the first stage I did in Nigeria, the final interview was in uk , I was asked the same questions which I knew I did well, just for me to receive a regret mail that I was unsuccessful, I keep asking my self what went wrong, is it because I don't have UK experience? I put in my best and have years of experience in the role. What went wrong ( feeling so sad). I need advice please. What can I do to get adminstrative jobs in the UK, honestly I have been applying. I know the job that I can easily get is care work, but I don't really like it. Please I need advice to stand my feet in this UK what best to start doing. Just need advice to be strong in this UK. Please if there is anybody living in Northampton kindly let me know, I am really feeling alone here. Many thanks 2 Likes |

Osoderi: Failure is success, always expect negative feedbacks.... Another candidate, might have done better or worse than you, but is just another shade of black ........... You can request your interview scripts, it's your right, to write and ask ......... Might not do you any good, because you cannot request other scripts........... But it might give you some consolation....... I hope ....... |

Osoderi: Regarding the bolded, you may never know. If they do provide feedback, it may or may not indicate why they really didn't want you for the job and might most likely cover generic stuff which may or may not be made up ("candidate appeared unsure of themselves", "candidate did not display an in-depth knowledge of the job role", etc., etc.) It's all subjective anyway, so don't stress too much about it. Regarding the italicised, you keep trying. Try not to get discouraged. It is very easy to get discouraged in face of the deluge of rejections the average dark-skinned jobseeker receives, but you can only allow yourself brief moments of feeling sad, then pick up your pen (abi your internet enabled device) and continue the applications process. As someone else has pointed out and as common sense dictates, you may have to content yourself with something lower level to get a foot on the ladder and start earning to pay those ever-increasing Boris bills while you keep on going. Make your peace with that, and quickly too, even if its the unwanted care home job, call centre or whatever, because the greatest threat to anyone's successful living here is unmanaged expectations. And a PA position is not one to kill oneself about. It's a very subjective, personal preference position. Put simply, the paler your skin, the more likely you are to be deemed suitable. Digest that, and move on. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Khemhyte: That will be for you to find out. Load up your internet data, hit the internet and start browsing universities and see those who take non-medical related courses and find out if yours can fit, and any other requirements. 3 Likes |
