I have noticed a lot of things about South africa and South Africans, they seems to worship/accept anything West without objections or critical thinking.
That's why they always the first nation in Africa to follow anything America does even if it is counter productive to them.

People really should apprise themselves of facts, before pulling stuff out of their arses on the internet. The US State Department publishes a report annually, detailing which countries vote with or against the US at the United Nations, and on what issues.
People interested in facts, can read the reports here:

In Mozambique the Rwandans are doing much heavy lifting not the South Africans who only carry out some specialized operations.

grin grin grin
Facts are swayed neither by feelings nor delusions. Readers who care for such things as intellectual honesty and integrity can read for themselves what Mozambicans say about who's doing what and where in Cabo Delgado:

The GFP ranking is fvcked up, I took my time to study the ranking my self and I discovered that the ranking is a child's play, in 2021 GFP said Nigeria have 2,000 armored vehicles now in 2022 GFP said Nigeria have 2,019 armored vehicles and this is not true because the Nigerian army alone received up to 300 armored vehicles not including other forces.. The total number of our active personal has been the same since 2018 while the nigerian army has been recruiting thousands of troops just last year Nigeria army alone recruited 8,000 men in the first six months and another 4,800 past out in November bring the total numbers of troops recruited to 12,800 not including other force and that's one third of the entire south African army.. there are many things that I saw in their 2022 update that makes me believe that Global fire power ranking is a child's play and one of those things are 1: ranking a declining South Africa military ahead of Almighty Algeria

What do you guys think about my investigation?

And by the way you did a good one here.

Yet someone still cluelessly showed up claiming GFP is close to accurate because apparently the NA numbers of men and materials you submitted have been wiped off in combat grin grin
When reality is most of the new lads haven't even seen combat. Meanwhile the NA continues to stand up more combatant troops and inducting new non-attrition equipments none of which was accounted for in the GFP estimates of manpower & hardware. These guys have no clue how Nigeria works.

What an irony of statement when apparently their own internal sources love to shove it as often as possible in the face of their own elites. Actually we in Nigeria having known the crises for years and reeling it out for timely remedy even though hated for it as can be gleaned on Nairaland are only trying to help as it's a lot better having a little cousin South Africa in the mould of Britain to the US as an ally to fight the common enemies of Africa's destiny in future wars than have to shoulder all the responsibility as often is the case when little sub-saharan republics unravel into full blown conflict.

SOUTH AFRICAN GRIPENS STILL GROUNDED AS OF TODAY JANUARY 28TH 2022
https://www.defenceweb.co.za/aerospace/aerospace-aerospace/saaf-gripens-still-grounded/

In effect SA has no frontline fighter Jet in the skies, pilot redundancies as a result, left with some 12 surviving unservicable Gripens of the original 26 bought the rest since cannibalized. The Lord have mercy if Zimbabwe decides to shred all SADC pacts and mobilizes to invade.

South Africa thankfully is very transparent journalistic wise, anysort of incompetence especially Government related will be made public.... What has happened to SAAF is not un common and there are Air Forces like the Luftwaffe which have really had to cannibalise euro fighters...but thankfully the new SAAB contract has already been signed

Kikuyu1, what's that we were saying about Moz paying $220K for Marauders?

The US Army paid GM $235K for this Chevrolet.
2 reports by Army testing centres slamming the vehicle, and after each one, an increase in orders, at the same unit price -no economies of scale here!

Multi-purpose OPV/ LIGHT FRIGATES On Order

JANES DEFENSE WEEKLY

The Nigerian Navy signed a contract with the Turkish shipyard Dearsan covering the delivery of two new 76 m offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) on 3 November.
It released a video of the signing ceremony during which Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo said the order is a milestone in achieving the navy's 2021–2030 strategic plan. He described the OPVs as high-endurance vessels capable of maritime interdiction, surveillance, special forces operations, search and rescue, disaster relief, and providing fire support to land forces.
“Dearsan Shipyard was selected based on its track record and the conviction that the shipyard would be able to construct a platform that could be deployed as an OPV in peacetime, while having the capability and flexibility to be quickly outfitted with sensors and weapons to re-role the platform for warfare and maritime defence purposes at a cost-effective price,” he said.

The Nigerian media reported that both OPVs are expected to be delivered within 37 months.
In a statement, Dearsan said the ships will be based on its OPV 76 design, configured according to Nigeria's requirements, built entirely at the shipyard's facilities, and equipped with Turkish systems.
When contacted by Janes , Dearson provided specifications for the Nigerian ships that were slightly larger than the ones listed on its website for the OPV 76. While their length remains the same at 76.8 m, they will have a beam of 12 m rather than 11 m, a draft of 3.3 m rather than 2.9 m, a displacement of 1,250 tonnes rather than the 1,100 tonnes, and a crew of 47 rather than 43.

A pity you suffer comprehension problems. You didn't see the difference between peace time roles and war time roles potentially giving us a max 6 number of Frigates in any eventuality something we have said for years now confirmed by the Navy itself. This is real.

I pity you for not knowing the different roles of ships even though you claim to be a military researcher....at best they are light corvettes at best, typical corvettes weigh between 2000-3500t....certainly not light frigates in fact the Meko200 is a light frigate at nearly 4000t that's 4Xs the OPVs in your article.

Brace yourself the Nigerian military has taken delivery of most of the items on its strategic modernization programme. In this case the Navy is keeping diligently with it's short, medium and long term acquisition goals. A great delight to see irrefutable evidence.

Different Navies different classification. These are not aircrafts. Check out the Israeli Navy.
