Killing a Benin king that wanted war?? YES

Appreciation another Benin king (some100 years later) who helped Ashipa?? YES.

What do you not understand ? Oh I know what you do not understand.

And that’s the meaning of the English word “tribute” cheesy

Cheers kiss

Tao11 from History I am aware that the Ijebus and possibly the Awori too are masters of Ambush Warefare on Water especially in the Jungle environment of the Lagoon where they can easily be concealed

The Oba of Benin and his entourage would have been like Sitting ducks in the Middle of the Lekki Lagoon they would have been too tempting a target to for the Warriors to resist

What the Ijebus usually do is to soak a lot of arrows in Palm Oil and wrap Ogusho around them then set the Arrows ablaze and rain them down on the Oba and his entourage in the middle of the Lagoon setting the entire Canoe War Party on fire anybody who is not a good Swimmer is finished

They used the Strategy against the Ibadan so many times that the Ibadan gave up on fighting the Ijebus anywhere near Water

Ashipa didn't appoint himself king of Lagos, the Oba of Benin that made him king over Lagos have told you he was a Benin prince and also told you the Benin meaning of his name.

The oba of Lagos have told you that their father was a Benin prince and not a commoner. Ashipa wasn't an Isheri (man) commoner but a Benin prince according to both oba of Lagos and oba of Benin.

You lack logical coherency of argument and thought. You bini luntcs lose all sense of reality and logic when you are arguing about bini. The oba of benin who gave ashipa kingship in lagos is dead. The earliest accounts collected from lagos are what TAO11 has shared to you, but now you are talking about the present oba who has never said anything about lagos but bigoted illiterates who are loyal to him and wrote down nonsense about ashipa and tried to cover up for the fact that ashipa is meaningless in indigenous or core bini which was in the last 30-50 years, very much later than traditions collected from lagos 60-70 years earlier which TAO11 has repeatedly shared. Like you arr beyond redemption at this point. You think us readers are fools??

We follow logic. What the oba of benin today is saying or his illiterate local internet historians are saying doesn't take away the earlier traditions on who ashipa is. Once again the oba who had a relationship with ashipa is dead. Ashipa is a very common name in yoruba chieftancy traditions, it has a meaning and not a corruption as you claim. Modern Bini illiterates can't make a claim about yoruba names and say that must be it when the name has been in existence for forever with a meaning that can be broken down. This has also been demonstrated to you by Christtruth00 and infact you can find out yourself. You trying to act stupid and ignore obvious truths will not move your life forward or position bini people as anything in Nigeria. This is frankly stupid. Get some sense in 2022. Your efforts at this psychological war is a failure. You must be joking if you think we will allow you spill obvious lies and not counter it at every turn

If they said Eko pay tribute to Benin is different from personal thank to Oba of Benin that you claimed.

Lagos pay tribute to Benin

Thanks given to Oba of Benin

This 2 sentence looks different one is personal and the other is not.

You are doing all your best to twist everything haha.

Did Lagos pay tribute to Benin yes or no.

The reason why TAO11 has to break things down in context is because bini lntics like you who have great inferiority complex and can't survive without knowing you truly conquered the whole of southern nigeria or the world will take a simple things and turn into we own it, we conquered.

Tributes are paid for many reasons and he has explained the reason in the context of lagos, you are unhappy because once light is shared on the reasons you can't twist things anymore to massage your battered egos grin

Even though we’ve proven here that there was nothing called Benin Empire (no eyewitness). But to answer:

Those who ended your kingdom are the same people who ended every kingdom in “Nigeria” and took over.

Guess who they are!? Take a wild guess: The British.

Do I have to dumb this answer down for you, or your brain gets what’s going on?

Cheers

Truly ma, this bini people are illitrts. Honestly i cant understand anymore. They are so blinded by superiority and past conquest stories. They can't present argument logically anymore or understand simple comprehension. E wan tire me. But we can't be tired of sharing truth because these lot are hell bent on spreading lies. We will always be here. We will never give them that satisfaction and validation they want even if we all know in reality who controls lagos and all of yoruba land, its all yorubas. Even bini is controlled by a descendant of ife grin a yoruba man haha

Yes, the Ijebus are great water rovers — the oriki says it all:

ọmọ a-jẹ’bú, i.e. the children of the deep-water rovers.

And the Aworis too are great water rovers — the oriki literally says it all:

ọmọ k’á f’ọpa wà, k’á f’àjẹ̀ wà, i.e. the children of those who paddle with the ‘pole’ and the oar.

That Ashipa was a bit of an Afonja
The good thing was that the Awori didn't give him face and maintained their Stand that Lagos was Aworiland

Unlike the Other Afonja that his followers tried to bring down their own Oyo Kingdom

He is not, to be honest my brother. The oba of benin, many of their aristocrats and traders at the time were descended from people who came from ife. They not only preserved their spirituality as in the case of olokun, ogun, sango etc they preserved their language as well and it was made the language of the palace, of administration and trade.

So the oba of benin was seen as an ife descended yoruba king like the alaafin of oyo, even up until 1937 when he wss at the yoruba council of chiefs meeting. He could easily have gotten help from the alaafin of oyo or even the awujale. It's a bit similar but different in intricacies from afonja

The oldest accounts of lagos history collected from lagos states this things and you are here questioning it. Lol grin the best you can do is to give an even earlier account that can help with your query on how able bodied humans can't kill another human. Foo!l cheesy grin

Kabiyesi is one of us. He’s from the Ologunkutere lineage like myself. In Lagos, we have what we call declaration. When a position is vacant, any of the princes is eligible to contest. So, we are all from the same family. Since the reign of Ologunkutere, all the Obas have been from the lineage (Ologunkutere). Oba Akiolu is our blood relation...

You are the greatest Dullard of all time, you have shown yourself to be nothing but a troll gregyboy. I was never talking or refereeing to TAO11 and reasonable viewers will know this. You have shown yourself by this act to be a loser, a born one at that.

What you quoted as supporting your point further puts you into hot water. For your information i firmly believe ashipa was an isheri awori chief, ashipa is a name that is broken down in yoruba. It's only on blogs you'll see it as a corruption. It's madness to label it a corruption when ashipa was one of the most popular chieftancy titles in the oyo mesi, oyo empire sentaorial councily
Its a yoruba name through and through,no matter how online bini trolls and insecure bini people try to cover that fact. The truth is open to any reasonable person. Also the final nail, i specifically in the quote you put up there stated how the bini traders and royals and other aristocrats were mostly of ife descent as the erelu kuti 5 in the video your fellow dullrd brother posted alluded too, even the ones who weren't of ife descent spoke yoruba(Lukumi) because that was the language of the palace, administration and trade. This is all documented!!

I will never go against TAO11, don't ever dream of it. She has repeatedly schooled you all here. We the viewers know the truth. I've gone through threads since 2019. And greggyboy you and your brothers, samuk, ogbe and the gang have forever and always been shamed by academic, authentic early historical accounts, and professional historical analysis with several references. You lot keep digging holes for yourself. Ok it is popular im bini and but which language is it?? grin cheesy this is pure yoruba that can only be broken down in yoruba language lmao. Obajulaiye meaning the king is more than than life literally. Infact you prove the point that J in yoruba is pronounced z in bini, hence why ojolua became ozolua in bini and akenjuwa or akinjuwa became akenzuwa in bini prinounciation.

I like the fact you lot keep proving to me that truly bini was yoruba kingdom with yoruba rulers from ife and who institutes the language as the language of the palace and administration. If you want to go deeper i will show you how ologbosere, iyase, names like ewuare are all yoruba names. If you want to know break it down in your local bini dialect and see if it has meaning grin cheesy

No one can take away bini influence in lagos. Why? Because the bini aristocrats who indirectly controlled lagos from bini at the beginning of ashipas reign and the ones who settled in lagos and the princess who married ashipa and gave birth to ado are all yorubas! So yes bini has influence however they never owned lagos. Do you lot even know the meaning of ownership??

The kingship at lagos is a mixture of awori and bini all who are of ife descent and yes they paid a ceremonial thanksgiving tribute initiated by ashipa to the benin oba, they was never any bini military presence nor any direct control of the benin oba after ados children started ruling eko. Infact before the British destruction of lagos, the tributes had stopped. Yet these very same People will tell you that Ile Ife are not the owners of Benin

But when it comes to applying the same principle to Eko they prefer to be hypocrites and stand reason on it's head though Ashipa , Ado and Ologun Kutere were all Yorubas

It is a good thing that Olofin and his men drowned Oba Ehengbuda of Benin and his War Party

They showed Oba of Benin that the People of Lagos were not to be toyed With

I get what you tried to say, but the analogies are quite different.

Ife & Benin:
The 1st crowned Benin ọba is paternally descended from Ife, and maternally from Benin.

Benin & Lagos:
The 1st crowned Eko ọba is paternally descended from Lagos (Isheri-Olofin), and maternally from Benin.

I remember that some elderly Yorubas always insisted that up to the 1980s the Oba of Lagos was a Baale. all this History is now making everything Clearer it was because in real Historical terms he was an offshoot of the Olofin of Isheri

Those Baba's in their understanding of Oba Traditional Hierarchy must have placed him under the Oba of Isheri that was why they saw it that way

It’s nothing new that one Yorùbá ọba has precedence and rank higher than another.

It doesn’t make the other Ọba not an Ọba.

Ologun kuteres father is an ijesha man grin grin mehn you lot keep embarrassing yourselves. Even the name is yoruba. At this point you are making the argument for us only deluding yourselves with contradictory conclusions.

So bini never owned lagos but no one can eraser the influence because the yorubas know their brothers, its bini commoners who ate the problem trying to claim the ife-bini peoples accomplishments who are still ruling them as theirs and further exaggerating it all grin cheesy
.

I am quoting the son of Oba Oyekan you are running ya mouth, do you also smoke weed like Iya Basirat

Ologun Kutere you said they descended from is an undisputed Ijesha man

You yourself have proven that all Oba's of Lagos since Ologun Kutere were all of Ijesha descent
