Just checked NGX website and realized that GTCO was sold/bought at N26.90 at 2:30pm with about 5 single block sales that were at least 100,000 units. How come it didn't close at 26.90? Or has the rule changed? Just asking for clarification sake. Thanks!

This is not a buyers market. I will advise you hold your cash for a while as the market will soon tank as usual.

With the global economic apprehension surrounding rate hike (to which Nigeria is not immune) and noting that this is a year to general elections, if you hold positions, this is the time to sell and wait.

Once the euphoria surrounding year end results ends, the index will platoon and range till first quarter results filter in at the end of April after which some of the prices you see today will be gone till January 2023 at its earliest or after elections in Feb/Mar2023.

You are not the first to prophsy this NSE crash, better NGX prophtes and prophtess have said more worst things than this yet NSE has not come to an end.

I never said NSE will come to an end. I only told you what is about to happen.

That doesn't mean it will not rise back up. I personally look forward to its rising because that is how I make my money. As long as people like you are invested continuously, it pays to buy the dip whenever the market tanks, which is what is about to happen.

Did you check the Bid/Offer volumes today?
Have you studied the charts of NSE in the last 5 years and before any general elections?
Finally, what fundamentals are driving the bull you are feeding right now? What has changed from when Buhari became president?
Anyways, I am not your advisor so do what ever you want with your shares ma

With this kind of mindset you may never buy anything oh. Some of the big banks GT and Zenith are still at reasonable prices. I still bought a tranche of Stanbic last week. My own na to buy and wait, that's all I can control. I have no control over rate hikes or who wins elections

Thats a good strategy you have there. and you are correct about me not buying anything at the moment. Instead I exited my UBA position today and I am now 100% in cash.

NSE has exceeded its known resistance and is beginning to show weakness in volumes. Dont forget that it is local liquidity that is driving the markets now. So I need people like you to buy and hold.

Once the fuel dries, the prices will drop back and I will buy low while you will be trapped and might stay trapped because it might take you one year to bail.

Interest rates down both in Nigeria and abroad, depressing Foreign stock market, cryptocurrency in the Dip, where would the investors you have predicted will eventually exit the market after results take this money to, because equities still doing better than BONDS

You are very much in other with the middle names.
But are you sure you INTERPRETED the report of the 2 in bold very well?
With the 1st (GSK), I can even see 1 strong additional positive in the current report compared to their last financial print. (Q4 to YE, 2021 against previous guide in view).
Are you sure you're interpretating matters well bro. ...except if you are looking to hear what I will say. wink cheesy grin

Anyway, I have stopped talking GSK for now.
...I have since activated observers mode.
Reminds me of when some folks were consistently debating about NEIMETH, WAPCO and UACN in times past.

Really?
...are you really sure it's not a buyer's market? Are you truly certain of the other points you raised? wink grin grin

I have since said and explained with reasons why those housing the thought that the mkt will tank should limit their expectations. (refer to my past posts on this for further guidance)

You need to have a BALANCED VIEW of things.

Observe the trend in the global financial mkt...
Look in on what is happening in the macroeconomic space and interpret how they narrow down to and impact on different sectors and by extension assets.
...then decide on what to "play in" in line with your investment personality and goals.
Otherwise you might miss out on some value-driven opportunities.

Enough said.

He needs to have a BALANCED VIEW of things.

Some stocks will rise and some will fall.
The KEY is to "continually work to be on the right side of the divide".
The mkt will time again experience varying degrees of pullback, but folks should not expect a major bear in the near term.
