A man who stole a phone at a church and hid it in a toilet in the building has been caught and disgraced.

The incident happened in Lagos.

He is said to be in the habit of stealing items from unsuspecting church goers in Lagos.

The suspect identified as Ebuka Iheanacho, told those interrogating him that he’s from Imo state. He also confirmed that his mother comes to the church “to beg”.

The items he stole were reportedly kept in a room in the church. He stole some phones and then hid a bag in a toilet in the building.

The church members interrogating him, said they will be taking him to the police station for documentation.

Church is not meant for righteous people, that's why the doors of most Churches are always open to welcome everybody.

Reasons some churches have a big signpost in the premises which reads, "Keep your personal belongings safe before some people may think it's the answer to their prayers"
