I blame am in some ways, but at the same time stuffs like this can happen to very good keepers, if we had equalized and carried the day maybe he would have made up for it at some point and it will all be forgotten.

I would not have forgotten oo cos I was feeling some vibe that Okoye will do us in
In fact Kog45 presciently said it that gks would cost us this Afcon

cheesy nwakali wey Dey head to oblivion soon

We still Dey hype am rookie like ex u17 skipper Tijani is already doing well at Salzburg and hv been recalled from his loan spell and added to the Austrian giants ucl team

Even if he doesn’t get his debut atleast it’s a huge development which will boast his confidence. The Salzburg move I knew it will work out for the lad
Nwakali is one of my favorite players but mehn....this is getting too much.
On Tijani, anytime there is a report about Amoo,I always wish Tijani too is picking up. Glad to hear about his recall and inclusion.

Funny enough, I think Egypt will win this AFCON. I want Senegal to win it but my mind keeps telling me Egypt will win grin

Hehehe. Brother , when Egypt played cameroon, it was a case of two evils for me in Egypt and Cameroon, Egypt winning was more of a consolation cause they were the lesser of both evils...

Now i want senegal to make West Africa proud by beating these Egyptians.

Eguavoen took the job knowing fully well that there's no margin for error..

Eguavoen is just the Ole Gunnar Solksjaer version of Rohr since he talks a good game and actually played some decent attacking football in the group stage of the AFCON...

Bitter truth is that both are outdated coaches..
Teams lose, teams win, margin of error or not. That's football.

Lol, bro I'm a big fan of tiki taka. I remember making a post early this year about how West African teams need to become more technical in our style of play so that we can at least catch up to the North Africans not just in style of play but also football development in general, but I also said that we need the right players to make this happen.

It's easier for a fragile player to become more physical than it is for a very physical player to become more technical. Quote me anywhere.

We did not win those three matches because we were technical, we won them because we were more aggressive than the other teams. The moment we lost that aggression and decided to relax, we lost when it mattered the most. That loss still dey pain me walai.

We have very few technical players in our squad. Cup competitions are more about results than style of play.

Bottom line is: don't ever lose if not you will hear that it is because you ate akpu that's why you won the games you won and that you lost because you decided to eat something else instead of akpu.

Don't ever lose a game

The only midfielder I will rate ahead of Etebo is Ndidi. He is the real midfield general. Nwakali is good no doubt, and TBH he has the special skillset we need in our midfield now but jury is still out on him. He doesn't even have up to 5 caps yet..does he?

It is a player like Kelechi Nwakali that makes a team tick. He is like a glue that holds a team at the center.

It is not just myopic, it is foolish to talk down on what a Nwakali can bring.
It is so evident that we need his abilities.

If you have any problem with his attitude, say it.
Don't berate his skill and contribution.

It seems you are the only one with eyes

After seven years in Europe , nobody could see what you are seeing. Wenger did not see it , all the coaches in the Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie as well as at Porto B and then in the Segunda, none of these qualified and experienced coaches could not see ANYTHING.

His coach at Huesca rates him so highly he is the second to the last lowest paid player in the team. Add to that after playing in Segunda for two seasons nobody bought him.

If nobody else can see something apart from one person , it means the other person is BLIND he just doesn't know it.

I don’t know how can someone be one of the most important player in a national team yet the player is new to the national team and not even a regular or yet to contribute anything

The way some people hype some players is beyond me and it’s very annoying

Nwakali has the talent but he should realize time is going.

Kalu will come good at Watford!

He is made for the premier league

He possesses good technique and better football IQ than Ejuke!

Ejuke is talented but lacks that natural calmness to make better decisions when with the ball.

We can only predict the future based on the past until it proves otherwise. I believe we would have topped our group.

We would would have defeated Tunisia based on what I saw Burkina Faso do to them..

Rohr would have had different players to start with anyway. Rohr does not field players based on how they're performing in Europe. He fields players based on how they perform in the Super Eagles. From his long experience with the team, he can tell quickly whether a player brings something to the table or not.

So many variables to count.

Sir, The same Rohr could not top a less competitive group in 2019 with a more complete squad in terms of talents.

He lost 2:0 to a debuting Burundi team!!
The later days of Rohr are tasteless!
It got to a point where fans no longer celebrate super eagle's win due to the most boring and unattractive style of play.
Honestly, football is more than just winning...
Rohr didn't lost matches.
In fact, he wasn't sacked because he lost matches, he was sacked for playing UNATTRACTIVE style of football.
Football is more than just WINNING!
& Eguaveon has shown glimpse of that which we have so much craved for, and like every other Nigerian out there, I say He deserve another chance!!!

We should use the past to predict the future? No be juju be that?
Rohr doesn't field players based on how they perform in Europe or the super eagles but based on his emotions.. That's why he stuck with a defensive approach most times..
This team started to decline in the post Covid-19 lockdown era.. It was glaring .And with he absence of Osimhen and Ighalo (who is Rohr's favorite), plus his negative approach to pre match talks ( we have a young team.... we don't have a Salah or Mane.... our players don't have experience), you really think he would have made the semis of this AFCON?
Lol...

What is astonishing to me is that you went on and on and failed to say what is your problem with Eguavoen.

Identity:

If there is something Eguavoen did was finally unravel our identity. He made people rethink the Super Eagles. Showed us than passion that came with our play.

Eguavoen showed us selection belief, damning critiques and selected players that suited the Nigerian game.

He allowed us see a template for long term result in the team, showing that the Super Eagles is about instilling fear in our opponents with direct play.

Eguavoen was there for a very short time but in that time, transformed our players and had many playing beyond what people know.

The Eguavoen way was a clear template for long term results. Not short wins. His game was about building a strong Super Eagles that plays a particular brand of football that will cause oppositions problem and have us winning titles in a long run.

So I do not get why you are having problem with him.
If you like have the best plans, if you lose just get on with it.
