Nwakali has the talent but he should realize time is going.

Kalu will come good at Watford!

He is made for the premier league

He possesses good technique and better football IQ than Ejuke!

Ejuke is talented but lacks that natural calmness to make better decisions when with the ball.

Kalu is a bigger talent than Dennis, I have no doubt about him making it in the premier league

I expressed my fears when Ighalo's participation was jittery.
I expected NFF and Eguaveon to pay a fine and include Dessers but probably they don't think he was good enough.

There are some chances we couldn't convert that Dessers would have converted.
Hahaha hahaha hahaha hahaha Choi. Ehya, if only Dessers was here we would have scored some goals we couldn't score.

Told you guys, it's always the guys who are absent that can do the job.

Not true.

Kalu and Dennis have very similar talents. Dennis is slightly better because is like a Jota, can even play CF. He has like 3 headed goals this season.

Rohr that lost at home to CAR and struggled against Cape Verde and Liberia would have beaten Tunisia and Burkina Faso? Lol..
You didn't get the memo.. Rohr team was on a decline..The man was losing it!
From the way the same players played under Eguavoen, we can say that it was Rohr himself wjo was in decline, not the team. Man was headed for the abyss of crappy football and was dragging us down with him.

We should use the past to predict the future? No be juju be that?
Rohr doesn't field players based on how they perform in Europe or the super eagles but based on his emotions.. That's why he stuck with a defensive approach most times..
This team started to decline in the post Covid-19 lockdown era.. It was glaring .And with he absence of Osimhen and Ighalo (who is Rohr's favorite), plus his negative approach to pre match talks ( we have a young team.... we don't have a Salah or Mane.... our players don't have experience), you really think he would have made the semis of this AFCON?
Lol...

Lol.. Encomiums must be broadcasted to the world about the superlative job that Eguavoen and the team did in Cameroon.

If we had a forward looking God fearing federal government a week of fasting and prayer should've been declared by now in appreciation of our SE team accomplishments in Cameroon. We were the best attacking team, the best defensive team and we had the best coach.

So. Are we better off than we were before AFCON? Was it worth destroying a 5yr development plan and paying $600k to Rohr for early termination? Are we better positioned to reach the WC semis? Up Nigeria.
grin grin

We can only predict the future based on the past until it proves otherwise. I believe we would have topped our group.

We would would have defeated Tunisia based on what I saw Burkina Faso do to them..

Rohr would have had different players to start with anyway. Rohr does not field players based on how they're performing in Europe. He fields players based on how they perform in the Super Eagles. From his long experience with the team, he can tell quickly whether a player brings something to the table or not.

So many variables to count.
Rohr would have defeated Egypt? Man would have capitulated from the beginning by telling the whole world that we don't have any star player in the mould of Salah. In fact, he even made that statement just before our first match against Egypt. Egypt would have been all over us like ants.

Toh, I only just used your own formula of 'would have, would have oo' and using the past to predict the future

I don't think we played beautiful football. I just like the seriousness in our approach, the pressing, and us playing with full intensity from start to finish regardless of whether we were in the lead. It's that mentality I still admire.

Mujtahida:

My bro, hear talk. I'm surprised at the narrative here.

Abeg tell me, did we play beautiful football? The quality of football at this present afcon was so poor especially the opening games such that when Nigeria played, we played with energy and co-ordination and people were impressed. Tell me, what extraordinary thing did our players do that one can say they played beautiful football and that was what made them lose?

Wingers who couldn't cross, is that beautiful football? GK who could not command his line and be alert, was that beautiful football?

We lost and all of a sudden, there's a bawling condemnation of beautiful football. So is this real criticism or the fluff of painment?

Bottom line for me in all these talk, is that don't lose. A wise man is regarded as a fool if he loses.

With players like Osimhen, Ighalo, Balogun, and Onuachu missing, Rohr would have been full of excuses even before games start

Kalu can play as a wing back and is more of a midfielder than Dennis. They both have their strengths.
Anyway I doubt if kalu can play as a pure striker

Gernot Rorh somehow feels he is vindicated because we lost to Tunisia.

One thing I know for sure, with Amuneke and Eguavoen on board we will do bigger things.

Well said. They say we played beautifully as if we were the Manchester city of Africa. It's a shame that zuchyblink continues to toot this outrageous lie.

We were simply more businesslike and direct in our play. If it looked beautiful, it was not because Eguavoen set out to play beautiful football, it simply was that fans could see the refreshing difference in the way we played.

That is the vindication of a loser. They are certain kinds of people who when they laugh after a loss, it won't hurt cos they themselves are the epitome of failure. Reminds me of one moniker here.

Olodo for class dey laugh.
