Anosky: It depends. It can be fall, winter, spring/summer (one year). It can be one year and four months (if summer break is allowed). It can be 1 year and 6 months (if two term courses, summer break, and 6 months internship). Only your admission letter or school can clarify the duration of your program. Ask your international student advisor or check your admission letter. All the best. 2 Likes |

Thanks for the respone.. With this say 1year and 6months can one obtain a 2-3year work permit? Osemigho: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Osemigho: 3:09pm On Feb 07, 2022 |
Anosky: From my experience, program that are 1 year and 6 months will officially say their program is 2 years. They are often direct entry bachelor degree at poltechnics with two terms of coursework and 6 months internship. So, they are fully qualified for 3 years post graduate work permit. I believe any other program that is 1 year and 6 months should get 2-3 years work permit. |

Hello, I think you should plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz go back to CAN for your studies and apply for SOWP or even a visiting visa, for hubby and don’t risk going for another study permit application. You can always go to that school you desire afterwards. Your 2m will not be a waste cos knowledge will be acquired, besides, you will be working. All the best! MsLoolah: 1 Like |

Hello Omiinii, What if you want to change from one business course to another business course in the same DLI, can it be done outside Canada? Will appreciate your response. Thanks quote author=Omiinii post=110002366]International students in Canada have the right to change their program or institution as long as their study permit is valid. This means that you can change the college you are studying in Canada after getting a visa or study permit. You must make sure that you meet all the criteria required by your study permit. This involves studying at a designated learning institution (DLI) and regularly participating in your studies in Canada. Note that your main purpose and activity must be studying, therefore, your study program is required to be a full-time basis. You will also need to inform (CIC) about the college change. This is done by reporting the federal government through your online account that you have currently changed your post-secondary institution. After signing in your online account, you will need to enter your new college’s DLI number, your student ID number and as well as the date you are going to start your new study program. In Quebec, the procedure of changing schools or study programs is a bit different. If you want to study in Quebec as an international student, you must have a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ). Those who are already in Quebec as students, need to submit a new CAQ application to be able to change their educational program, school or institution. [/quote] 1 Like |

Cjazter:search for schools in Canada that offers MSc civil engineering, for each school go to their website, click on graduate study, search for civil engineering, look for the departmental requirements , if u meet up with the requirements, check application start date and deadline, then apply. You can also ask questions from the program coordinator through the email on the departmental website 1 Like |

Good afternoon Fam, please is there any one that applied for a Co-op program at Conestoga College. I saw that during the visa application, there is a section for one to attach a letter of work requirement, however, the only letter that I got from Conestoga is the LOA. I'd appreciate any help here. |

Who am I that you are mindful of me? God has done it.. PPR IS here. After waiting for so long. I prophesied that this week was my week and God did it. I am a silent reader here and I joined after I submitted my application, although I avoided this place for a while because of anxiety. After several emails, mp sent mails as well, I have started classes online for Fall 2021 at lambton college, currently doing the winter term, just last week Thursday I was asked to send my updated letter of acceptance but I sent enrollment letter instead , then I received PPR this afternoon. This is my timeline. Submitted- May 11th 2021 Biometrics- May 24th 2021 Upfront medical - April 28th 2021 I don’t know when eligibility started. Updated letter of acceptance request - Feb 3rd 2022 Passport request- February 7th 2022 Yes 9months! See ehn I was so scared, I trusted God but I’m human right? But God said his ways are not my ways. I submitted all the necessary documents even sent my fall transcript, please whatever you do just keep trusting God. Please who’s going to Lambton College (Sarnia campus) or is already a student there? Hit me up. Thank you. I pray everyone excepting good news will receive it soon. Amen. 34 Likes 2 Shares |
