Thank you for your response boss. A quick one, is it true that if you were denied previously in a schengen country that it can also lead to a denial in Norway or other schengen countries. Also! If you are denied visa for Norway study visa. Can it be appealed? CuteTj: |

Hi guys, I'm a prospective student of nord university. The international passport I used for my application is expiring by May. Though, I have gone for a renewal. I hope this won't affect my admission. Admission letters are expected to start rolling out by March 30th. Thanks |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by vinlyreeks(m): 10:56am On Feb 05, 2022 |
Femiomoh: I am also interested in Applying to Nord Uni Please were you asked to submit proof of sufficient funds as one of the admission requirements? |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Easternheart: 1:25pm On Feb 05, 2022 |
Femiomoh: The passport was still valid during the admission application deadline. It won't affect your admission. Try and get your new passport for visa processing. |

Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by CuteTj(m): 7:34pm On Feb 07, 2022 |
uchechukwu007:Not in all cases. If the issue that made them reject an application in another schengen country is not cleared up, then it might also lead to a refusal by Norway. When you apply to Norway after a refusal by another country, the ask you why were u rejected. Yes you can appeal a study permit refusal by Norway but if there is no new development or document on your part, the denial is most likely to be upheld. |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by CuteTj(m): 7:39pm On Feb 07, 2022 |
TNORWAY:Very very slim! I personally know of a lady that was denied. Maybe if you have strong ties to your country (say you are married and with children) your case might be an exception. |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by CuteTj(m): 7:42pm On Feb 07, 2022 |
Femiomoh:I guess you are the one that mailed me. I have replied. In addition to what I said, student visa fee is like 280k while your spouse will be almost 640k depending on exchange rate fluctuations. |

Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by CuteTj(m): 9:01am On Feb 08, 2022 |
@ TNORWAY, clarify your comment. @ Ajibolaoi, its free for children under 18. 640k for your spouse. |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Ajibolaoi: 11:54am On Feb 08, 2022 |

Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by YoshihideSuga: 7:44pm On Feb 08, 2022 |
CuteTj: Wow. That's extremely high for a student's visa. As in, that's the visa fee required for obtaining the student visa to Norway? Honestly, I'm stunned! |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Easternheart: 9:24pm On Feb 08, 2022 |
Doubt if that figure is accurate. 640K for partners? . Children under the age of 18 are not required to pay fees. So multiply 280k per applicant by 2 = 560K. 280K per applicant over the age of 18. It should be 560K (for student with his/her spouse) CuteTj: |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by CuteTj(m): 9:48pm On Feb 08, 2022 |
Easternheart: Students and their spouses do not pay the same visa fee. Their visa categories are different. Find attached the visa fees for family immigration and for studies. I am currently in Norway on a family immigration permit. After foreign exchange, what I paid as visa fee amounted to N640,000 for myself and N280,000 for my wife. This was before Naira:Dollar became 570:1. So I can bet that that amounted would have further increased. Another look just before posting this and I discovered that study permit visa fee has increased. When my wife applied for her visa, it was 4000 and something NOK but I can see that it has now been increased to 5,900 NOK. Prospective students should brace up!

Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by uchechukwu007(m): 6:24am On Feb 10, 2022 |
Thank you so much for the feedback but I am confused on one part. What do you mean by cleared up? Basically I have be rejected visa by a schengen country and their reasons were 1. no language certificate 2. My study plans is not clear abii untrue 3. Didn’t pass the maths test given on interview date. I appealed and it was still rejected..So my question is. In a situation like this, what do you mean by been clearEd in the context you reply. Also! For rejections like this from another schengen country. Does it stand as a yardstick for an automatic rejection from Norway. CuteTj: |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by CuteTj(m): 11:57am On Feb 10, 2022 |
uchechukwu007:Schengen countries share the same database with regards to applications, refusals and visa issuance. When you apply to Norway, there is a part they ask if you have been rejected by another Schengen country. State yes and the reason (that is what I mean by clearing it up). Since the reason for the refusal was something mundane and not crime related (false documentation, forgery, false information etc.). A refusal by another country does not mean an automatic rejection by Norway. Only a ban from another Schengen country will mean an outright ban from Norway. |
