ILoveDemMANNA:

May God bless all good citizens of Nigeria that want her progress.
May Devil kill all evil, wicked and senseless citizens that only want to read about deaths in my country.

Iseeeeee

A BMC can never be a patriotic citizen.

A patriotic citizen loves the country and wishes progress for the nation. A BMC loves a politician because of the penny he gets from a politician and turns blind eyes to the evil perpetuated by the politician.

May all the BMCs die before the dawn of a new progressive era.

This is the genesis of poor education in most of our public tertiary institutions.

Proper technology can mitigate such... It's just a matter of grouping and scheduling.

...And for fvck sake, universities should stop taking more students than their schools can contain. Take only the number you can properly accommodate and teach. The rest should defer or try other institutions.

Re: Students Packed Together Like Sardines In A Lecture Hall(pictures) by proclinician: 8:58am On Feb 17, 2022
The only way out of this is to employ more lecturers and divide these classes into segments. You can take up all the first class graduates from single honor science disciplines on contract to teach basic sciences to all year one in a ratio of 20:1.

Stop these incessant strokes. Put large funds into the education sector.

How do you see this to be?

What is the current situation in your school now?
And those who have graduated how filled was your lecture hall then?

What can be done about this?

How can the government come into the picture?

. I remember OAU Amphitheater during PHIL 101 in those days!

1.They can build more lecture theaters with a larger capacity.
2.They can reduce student intake.
U are wrong. The professors and chief lecturers can simply stop colonising all the courses....(just to sell textbooks and collect sorting)....... They should split the class up into smaller units to be taught by younger lecturers and simply play supervisory roles.

In my school, large classes are split up...even if it is same course and different lecturers assigned to teach them.

And hire more lecturers, obviously most public universities are short-staffed.

Department of general courses should break such class into smaller size. A simple common sense. But common sense is not common in Nigeria.

Sociology 101, I dropped the course after one lecture. Dr. Antigha could give you 20 pages of notes in just one hour.
I wish I’d never attended that lecture because I met my ex girlfriend at it.

That class was packed full you could hardly breathe . Memories

Which Uni was this? The name rings a bell

Many federal Universities are short staffed!
Low lecturer to student ratio.

We are looking to educate more people not reduce the number.
Please offer another solution.
Maybe we could encourage online universities.

If their capacity is not enough for the students they admit, wouldn't it be wise to reduce it to what their capacity can take comfortably?

Online classes are good but this is Nigeria.Poor network and high cost of data. Some students don't even have smartphones.
