Very well said sir. I'm equally a Nigerian that applied from The Gambia, although I submitted all my resident permit cards. It will end in praise for us
mrprolifik:

Why do you think swearing an affidavit that you would return would help convince the VO that you will return after your studies? There is no law stopping you from applying for a Canadian study permit outside your country of citizenship, it's just that you stand a better chance of getting the visa from there if you are a permanent resident of that country .
You have to know that overstaying in canada after your Visa expires or studies end is not a criminal offence , so the worst that can happen to you is deportation and ban from the country .
So eventhough you decide to swear an affidavit to return to your country after your study ends and you end up not returning but instead applied for PGWP and then PR later do u now expect them to reject your application because you swore an affidavit in the past? . I would advice that you address any issue concerning home ties by drafting a good SOP that can convince the consular officer that you intend to return home by also including ties if any. Lastly I read sometimes early this week on this forum of a Nigerian applicant that applied from the UAE and got his application approved.
Just do your best and hope for the best.
Good luck

Abeg, gurus in the house, attend to my question.
Gokoyer1401:
Pls, who is in BC right now or going to BC? I need to ask some questions. I will appreciate your reply to my question.

Is it good for a family of 4 (5 yrs and 1 yrs old children) to move to Cranbrook? Hubby will need to be working while wife will be studying. I learnt that the city has a population of just 20000. Pls answer me my people.

In addition to what others have advised, I would say she should submit her PhD funding ALONE and explain it as you have broken it down here. The additional 6K is unnecessary. In fact, it places more burden of explanation.

She doesn't need any other statements. Just be sure she gets a letter from her department or supervisor that clearly states her funding amount and the tuition fee.

Canada visa is becoming tricky for married people with full scholarship. I have seen some that are rejected on the basis of funds because the funding can only cover for one person. So, I won't agree that married people should submit without 2-3 million, atleast in their account.

In this case, the mum should send the money and term it gift deed. She should also write a letter of moral support that praise her intellect and achievements. Her mum is not her sponsor, her school and scholarship are her sponsor.

Her husband should also write a letter of moral support that praises her and that he will be glad to welcome her back after school. They might even plan summer visit to Nigeria throughout the program.

Hi guys. Please has anyone flown British Airways recently? Please I want to book a flight to Toronto for my mother and she has a stopover at heathrow. Does she need a transit visa or I can go ahead and book it? Also, is there any other thing I need to do? Thank you.

She doesn't need a transit visa as long as she is not going to leave the airport while she is in the UK , and she will leave UK for Canada same day. You can click on the link below to answer a few questions to help understand further.

I am assuming he will be attending College of the Rockies. Just go to YouTube and type in the search box Downtown Cranbrook . British Columbia and you will find a lot of videos of how the city looks like. Make sure to include british Columbia in the search so it doesn't include videos of Cranbrook Uk

Hi JoshCanada, you can’t walk in without appointment unless your medical is on request. I would advice you to book any available date now before it filled up.

Oh. Just to be clear, did the GCMS note state it was because the fund could only cover one person (even when it was only that person traveling)?

Hello Yureyes

Once you get your updated LOA, you can submit it to IRCC via Webform and Emails especially if your current LOA is invalid.

Peace
Yureyes:

Thank you Makano. I sent them mails consistently last month and Nairobi VO replied that they are still actively reviewing my application.

I deferred my admission to fall 2022. Do I need to inform my VO when I get the updated letter of acceptance?

.

A friend of mine that will be travelling from Abuja next week to Ottawa bought Qatar airways. That was the cheapest he could find and it cost him €500 economy class. Abuja- Doha 3hrs wait time then Doha - Montreal 45 mins wait time Montreal- Ottawa.
You can do the conversion from €500 to Naira to find out how much it will amount to
Thanks mrprolifik. €500 is about 200k+. It's fine!

Based on my experience..... I booked for an upfront medicals at IOM Ikeja.

The best way to book for an upfront medicals is by sending them an email. This is the email address (iomlagosmedicalbooking@iom.int)

The template,

Good day I would like to book for an upfront medicals on..put your preferred date... What I can just advise is to make the intro short.

After this you should get an auto-reply stating different things sha but the one I want you to note is if you want us to book you faster kindly reply this email with your details below... What you need to submit is in your auto reply...Make sure you provide your details under that email it would be quicker that way, also you would put the preferred date in which you want the medicals to be conducted

* Note: IOM opens from Monday to Thursday.
