This day I was so stressed out, so I mistakenly loaded someone's line. I called the person back to refund my card. Na so he just dey speak Hausa. Omo. I quickly hung up. Thank God it was only #200.

Even if the sender calls you be careful and only send back to the phone number or bank account it originated from. This could be a stolen fund or money laundering.

Why worry?.... N3000 is small change to the sender who most likely sent another N3000 to the correct number and find it a waste of time to have it refunded. Most likely just wished the receiver ... you ... needed it. If you don't... pass it on to person or persons who need airtime.

Be careful what you people refer to as miracle. The person's number is right there , all I expect of him is to return that airtime. I am a firm believer of the bible and Jesus Christ , and one of the ways He leads us is through conscience

I use an Airtel line,I got a guy our number same just last digit different,so always send 3k to my line said a mistake I transfer back,more than 5 times till I warned him nxt time I won't send back,still another 3k came,I just blocked the guy and dat was how it stopped.we all do mistake but more than 3 times hmm,one even came paid all my borrowed credit

Mine was 200MB mistakenly credited on my Airtel line I don’t normally use…. Baba called nd was like pls I mistakenly transferred 200MB to you…. I laughed nd returned his MB…. He later called to say thank you.. I don’t even browse with Airtel I only bought the sim during the good old days of free cheat.

Those people are terrible set of scammers . It happened to me as well. They said they are ifa people ,that their father want to pray for me ,he (father)ask me for my name. They want to start incantation before I ended the call

Similarly, Someone once credited my v-mobile line mistakenly and later call me to please resend the airtime. They explain it was to be sold and the money used to pay a hospital bill. I had to register with v-mobile "share & sell package then returned the airtime back.

Couple of days later, they called and thanked me for being honest and that i saved a child life by my good-deed returning the 6k airtime.

Wanted getting 200 naira airtel once in campus from one of the pos stand situated in sch, asked for 200 naira own and she sent it, normally I wanted to ignore the notification but somehow I looked and the figures plenty pass wetin I ask for. It was 20 thousand and some kobos. I just blurted out madam I no get money to pay for this card o and she equally looked at her notification and got the shocker too. Anyway I proposed we visited the nearest airtel office were we explained our problem and the guy there helped us sell 10k worth of the card instantly and gave her cash. Last last I dropped my sim till the next day where I went back got her cash and my sim which I gave her. She even invited me for Christmas which I politely declined.

Naso I mistakenly credit one werey 10,000 airtime yesterday I been calling since yesterday he no dey pick. I can't even file a dispute to my bank. So frustrating but Westin man go do

This happened to me, I created the wrong number, called the person and it was aboki that picked and wasn't willing to return it.
Texted Mtn on twitter and within 24hours they returned the airtime back

Why can't the customer service guys help out knowing it was a mistake? They should make provisions for these kinds of mistakes cos it always happens.

I don't understand that's how Banks ll say they can't track funds taken to another account but if your account is dormant they ll be calling asking why u can't make such account active... Kudos for d sincerity of the op though in a world where many are dishonest

My guy, ya all mistaken religious names to being kind and generous. Whether religion A, B or c, it doesn't amount to a good heart these days. I once mistakenly credited a lady from ph the some years back with the only a thousand naira I had in my account, I called and a lady answered the call,I was hopeful that she was going to be considerate since she's a lady but she boldly told me she doesn't know how to transfer back. I accepted my faith and moved on.
