He served time in Isreal and Finland for which they are admissable evidence for, but as for the women in the documentary he technically commited no crime against them and the evidence they have against him won't hold in court, and he commits the said crime in multiple countries spanning multiple legal jurisdiction making it hard to prosecute him due to differences in the interpretation of laws in these countries. State prosecution of cases is expensive in the western clime and for them to even attempt it, the case has to be watertight, posing danger to a larger percentage of the population, something like a drug trafficking ring, human trafficking ring or a human organ trafficking ring, they are not going to waste taxpayers money on prosecuting someone beacause you willingly sent money to them. The only hope the women have is to use their personal funds to get a good lawyer, of which they are broke and in debt so that is out of the question. I am even hearing that they didn't gain any monetary benefit from Netflix for the documentary..a very silly move. They are even the ones that committed fraud, by seeking out loans under false pretences in their own name just because someone said "help, send me thousands of dollars, my enemies are after me"

Ps: Romance scams are hardly picked up by the law probably 1 out of 10. The only way to make headway is hire a private lawyer and who will do this after been scammed, they will be broke, in debt and ashamed, so they will just let it slide. Hushpupi's case is quite different because he graduated from romance scam to a full blown international fraud ring scamming multiple companies in several countries, there is even a case where he defrauded several old people's home in the US, fleecing them of thier life savings on the pretence of providing breathing machines for them during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic, so all these helped FBI in profiling him, building several pages of cases against him with admissable evidence and finally indicting him.
