I have a valid 5 year UK visa. I already booked (and paid) for a ticket to London for Easter holiday. I want to do a 4-day trip to Paris from London and plan to go by Train (2 hours plus).

1. Is it sufficient to state this without evidence of flight booking or is it a must to include flight booking or training booking?

2. Do i need to include my flight ticket to London in the application?

3. I will like to use the Visa again in September. Which Visa type should I apply for that will cover the trips in April and September?

I already made hotel reservation (Paris) and I have valid Canadian Visa.

You have to add alot Meljoe. CAC, Taxes, bank statements, the list goes on and on.

Yours is dicey. There's no refusal point, i'd say write an appeal letter in English then translate to French. This letter should be a General appeal letter and should focus on how you were refused noting that no Reason was given and doubts if your application was truly examined hence you would kindly request that your next application be examined fairly.

If you have someone in France , you can send the appeal letter via email for the person to print and assist you in posting to Nantes. This will also reduce cost and get to them faster.

Your Appeal Supporting Document

1. Include a clear Scanned Copy of that Refusal Letter.
2. Your application Cover letter with itinenary.
3. The hotel booking used for the application.


Please dont rush off with a Conference letter for a Business visa for now. It would only reek of desperation give it some months before you put in another application else it would result in another denial.

It is not refundable.

It is clearly written on the appointment paper.

However, it can be re-scheduled as this is stated clearly in the appointment paper also.

Guys pls i need an answer on this i am going for studies,My main school is in germany but i will be starting as an option in france to finish in germany as my school partners with the one in france...All my documents for visa application came from France except for my tuition fees issued to me from my main school in germany with it's name there but was written in partnership with the one in france....Now on the school fees receipt my program end date written there is for the one in germany not the one in france because i am to spend only 1yr in france and then move to complete in germany the remaining 6 months...so now on my cover letter for visa Am i to indicate that i will spend one year in france and then move to germany to complete on the end date wriiten on my tuition fees receipts or is it going to complicate things for me as someone is saying that the embassy will feel that i want to use france and go into germany.....I NEED help on this issue pls...it's urgent

Please if I get you correctly you said you will be going to 2 schools, does it mean the programme is an Erasmus programme? If yes, how much did you pay for self funded?

1. You are staying longer in France so you have to go through France. Campus France would not attend to you atall if you were to apply through the German Embassy.

2. Your Cover letter: Pick a Paragraph to explain this to the visa Officer in very simple English language.


Alot of Students do such interchange every year within the Schengen region.

It is risky to wait for 48 hours because of processes it involves.

Appointment re-schedule is done by French Embassy not VFS but u av to send a mail to VFS first.

VFS will give you embassy email.

Having received embassy email frm VFS, u will present ur matter by sending a mail.

I’m sorry your visa application was rejected, you have the option of re-applying or appealing to the decision... but your own case was totally difference as the visa officer didn’t mention the reason for rejection and no document stating the reason for rejection.
Remember I told you that it’s 50/50 chances when its comes to Schengen tourist visa especially if you are not a frequent travelers. Please don’t rush by making another visa application at the moment, you may go ahead and appeal but there is no guarantee on the time scale of the appeal process as immigration-related matters can take longer to process.
Meanwhile you can start looking for a business conference for July and August.
