Good afternoon Kindly advice. I got a job in U.K and I have a the required documents. I am on my application presently Filled in that I have two dependants,my wife and daughter. But at the end where I have to pay for IHS it's giving me that I have no dependents... Secondly, I commenced there on application too...at the final stage,it's bringing out an option where I need to input my visa number or something. Please advise,is it that my own visa must come out before I can apply for my dependants and I must travel together with them. |

Just make sure you are filling the right visa form. If you apply for the wrong visa category, you will be refused at the decision making stage and not refunded. Also if it still says the above when you are done, then move on. U can fill in your GWF number or Visa application number in their application if it’ll let them move forward. Also make sure you are filling the right form for them. Whatever is the right category for u.. your wife will be partner dependent and the child, child dependent. Pls crosschk |

May not be allowed to post the coy name here. But whichever you are using ensure you do the PCR test that would be out 1-3 hrs. My departure was the next day and did it 5-6 pm on the previous day to enable me to fill out the NCDC form and pay for the day 2 test in Nigeria. Oggg: |

Thank you so greatly. Was thinking of starting all over again , maybe I missed out something....Yes I am filling the right visa category. After filling in my GWF ...it's still requesting me filling in the visa number for them.... I think I will just start all over again....since I am yet to submit... giselle237: |

Awwww. Switch!! You've been MIA. So sorry to hear about this. I believe 600k-700k should be sufficient but itemize your budget clearly to them showing what you are paying for and what cuzzo is sponsoring. For example: Flight- 250K Entertainment- 200k Shopping- 150K Transport- 100k Accommodation- Free as I'll be hosted by my cousin Food- Free and will be provided for by my cousin Also, clean up your statement and provide evidence of other ties to show you're not a potential flight risk. Goodluck! switch900: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by AmeliaT: 4:00pm On Feb 21, 2022 |
Wow. So sorry about that. Just fix the CAC issue, look at your account statement and make sure it matches the invoices. One other issue I see which could be flagged next time is that your profile and evidence may seem like you've aggrandized yourself but your statement/ income isn't matching up to the perception you are showing. I think you need to work on that as well. All the best! BarbieKogi: |

Hi Amelia, guess you overook this, pls help me out just doing some comparison, Hi again thanks for your response I want to be sure if spending 700k which is over 2 month my salary isn't a red flag cos my salary is about 300k and the 700k is about 2.5? And moreover are you so sure that the flight would be about 250k range thanks in anticipation. |

giselle237: Thanks so much I’m a single person so I don’t have any other financial responsibility . I’m thinking of building their account up to maybe 1.2M each so 2.4 total. They also receive other small business income and pension every now and then And then for my account I can have maybe 20M + naira equivalent in my personal / savings And then budget 3M for the trip Thoughts on this ? |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:53pm On Feb 21, 2022 |
canadaman18:even if they are retired, you must show home ties to Nigeria ie what is that thing that eill make them go back home. Properties, investments, savings, cars, other children in Nigeria etc are examples of ties. Include pictures if u must Then if they receive pension, you might want to wait to have that reflect in their accounts as well to show it ties them to home. You can also do a lump sum transfer of the sponsorship money and do a signed well written out letter to state this, the date of transfer, what it’s for etc. spell everything out categorically and look for a story as to why you sponsoring. Ohh my parents deserve a new spark or change of environment or whatever and I am most happy to have come into this world as their son and therefore gifting them an all expenses paid trip bla bla. They are the most awesome parents, they did this for me and tht for me and this and this is even too small to fully express my love for them. It is my life’s wish to continue to honour them and i just want to sponsor this bla bla bla. If you have sponsored other holidays too.. quote them as well in your write up It doesn't take away from the documents u will present. Fill the application form judiciously. For each day of the trip, set an itinerary and write it down in the form. 2 Likes |

switch900: Right, from personal point, i would advise rather than have your cousin involved you may be better off without. Get on cheap hostels and hotel booking sites, pick a place for your duration of visit such that it fits your budget. You may then want to state in the further section details of the application, that during your visit you intend to catch up with your cousin you have not seen for a decade, get to know his new family, also including the wedding in your itinerary would do good. You may have to increase your budget since your cousin would not be involved in any parts. In doing so, you may wish to make things clear to the ECO that traveling is one of your hubbies, and England is atop the list. Stating, I have done savings in past years to ensure such dream comes through and have it ticked off the list, and that I feel I have adequately saved for this purpose(s). Which is why I'm willing to splash xxxx amount of funds on visiting the UK at this time, and in doing this, I am being pretty sure that this visit will have no negative effects on my finances or other financial commitments I have(i.e i'm assuming you have your own family or dependants or as would be the case). Note: Let me add, your current budget is enough, even so i would say was the previous budget to be honest and It is within your applicant's right if you still wish to go with cousin in your future application. However, I feel his/her personal circumstances in the UK has not been convincing enough to the ecos that s/he could sufficiently host you, and possibly maybe relationship relevance between you and the said cousin has not been convincing to the ECOs. So have thoughts on about changing plans but not the goal (which is to visit the UK) and see how things play out. Cheers 1 Like |

Posting my success story to inspire someone. between 2012 and 15, I got denied UK visa 4x for reasons ranging from unexplained deposits to unverifiable income etc. mind you, I was gainfully employed and had proofs etc. by 2018, I had visited 6 other countries and retried the UK, this time, I got a visa and used twice. in 2019, I applied for a 2year visa and visited 6 more times as well as 6 other countries including France and Amsterdam. February 2nd, I applied for a 10year visa and I just got my passport delivered via courier. it was approved. here are a list of documents I uploaded, 1. Employment Offer, Promotion Letter and Salary Review 2. ID card, Tax Card, NIN Slip 3. Payslips 4. Account Statement with less the 2m as well as investment account with over 5m. 5. Letter of introduction from office 6. Previously Issued visas 7. Covid vaccination card 8. Hotel Booking etc Wishing everyone applying in future good success.x 8 Likes |

Thank you for this reply. I can testify. I was at the airport today all I showed was my vaccination card. It was scanned and approved . Always check your vaccine card before going to the airport. Get a qr code scanner app and scan it yourself. It should show a link that goes to ur nph profile showing ur vaccination dates and completion online. I heard the return booking day 2 is still applicable. Nigeria government and thivery behaviour ozymes: |

Hi leef, thanks for taking your precious time to pen something meaningful to me,pls could you pls give me a break down on how to go about staying in an hotel, feeding transportation, flight and will total to about 700k as my salary is 300k and my balance is less than 2m. Thanks For a break down of budget kindly refer to few ops @AmeliaT(permit me for the reference) However, if you would be doing it all yourself 700k is enough but not convincing. Least you want to do is put out an application where an unforseen circumstance(s) knocks your application out with possible expenses such storm may present. My thoughts, 1m won't be bad budget and that is with your 1,8m bal. Similarly you may wish to wait for next pay day/months to have a more positive bal., since from your current calculations, your estimated bal., would be 1,8m. At the time being, visit ticket, hotel, hostel sites(some offer breakfast), go for average(i.e not least nor extreme) quotations, such that would fit your circumstances, add with other expenses, make an application that demonstrates your budget is flexible and leaves you with some miscellaneous funds within your budget. All the lucks for a successful application |
