And what if our wings get caged which is exactly what happened in AFCON. A lot of players had a poor AFCON yet you're only picking out Chukwueze.

The main job of wingers nowadays isn't just cutting in and attempting to score on the strong foot. It's just too predictable and easy to stop for decent teams. Crossing the ball is also essential...

Our wingers got caged because they were constantly dribbling into a wall of defenders.

TheSuperNerd:
Rohr, NFF push for Everton’s Lookman

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr is pushing hard on all fronts to convince Everton wonderkid Ademola Lookman to switch his international allegiance to Nigeria .

Rohr , receiving the backing from the Nigeria Football Federation , appears to have succeeded in convincing Chelsea right - back Ola Aina and Arsenal forward Chuba Akpom to choose Nigeria ahead of England , after the England - born players took part in a closed - door friendly match between two teams formed from the Super Eagles squad in London on Monday .

The Eagles had been scheduled to play a warm - up match against Burkina Faso at the same venue in London on Monday but the encounter was called off after seven of the Stallions players could not secure visas to Britain . Nigeria battled to a 1 - 1 draw against Senegal in their first friendly clash on Thursday .
Former Gabon manager Rohr is also said to have picked up commitments from Sunderland attacker Josh Maja ( 18) , Charlton Athletic midfielder Joe Aribo ( 20), Millwall midfielder Fred Onyedinma ( 20) and Queens Park Rangers forward Eberechi Eze ( 18 ) to pledge their international futures to the country where their fathers were born.

London - born Lookman , who joined high - riding Everton from
Charlton Athletic in a deal reportedly worth £ 11 m in January, has represented England ’s Under - 19 s and Under - 20s .
But the forward , who announced himself at Everton with a brilliant goal with his second touch in the 4 - 0 hammering of Manchester City at Goodison Park on January 15 , is eligible to play for Nigeria through his parents .

Although the 19 - year - old , who is favourite to lead the line for England at the European U 21 Championships in Poland in June , has yet to decide on his senior international future, our correspondent learnt that Rohr and the NFF had exerted increasing pressure on the player to follow in the footsteps of Arsenal ’s Alex Iwobi and Chelsea ’s Victor Moses , who opted to play for the Super Eagles.

The PUNCH reported exclusively earlier in the month that Rohr failed in his attempt to persuade the Everton ’s rising star to represent Nigeria at senior level – after he allegedly penciled in the attacker for the friendly games against Senegal and Burkina Faso .

But it was learnt on Tuesday that the 63 - year - old former Bordeaux manager had redoubled his efforts to finally trap the teenager ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa on June 9 , as well as the 2018 World Cup qualifying double - header against Cameroon .

Sources close the team told our correspondent that the NFF president Amaju Pinnick had decided to take advantage of the Eagles’ friendly games in London to help Rohr secure the services of English - born or English - raised players , with Lookman the number one target , for the national team .

Pinnick is said to have met with Lookman ’s representatives in England , but sources said the player has yet to make any commitment regarding playing for Nigeria .

However, It was learnt that the English FA are aware of the moves being made by Nigeria to land the player and have been trying hard to keep him for the Three Lions , after losing
Moses and Iwobi to Nigeria after representing England at youth levels .

Do you even know what it means to get caged, about 3 defenders marking a single player, how do our want him to get a cross in?
When your wingers get caged, you bring in midfielders to penetrate through the middle.

Chukwueze started like Osimhen, he was a beast and a menace to defenders in Spain. All of a sudden he's stagnated.

Well he scores every now and then but there's nothing spectacular there anymore like we witnessed when he lit the football world with fire.

Maybe it's the coach. Maybe it's the tactics and strategies... But he needs to step up and surpass his old self.

Maybe it's the aftermath of the injury he suffered that kept him out for months..
Some players never regain their full form after recovering from a long term injury..
The Chukwueze I saw at the AFCON was an odd one.. he seemed scared to take on defenders and cut inside the opponent box.... Perhaps it was part of why his mother did that prayer for him...

Should I tell you about segunda teams that have beaten Laliga teams ?

Stop saying what you don’t know oga

Please tell me this season , which Segundo teams were able to beat La Liga teams.

Then tell me how many Segundo division teams have been able to make it into the last 16.

Now when you have done that compare that with English FA cup group of 16.

He has no business in the team presently. And once we get Olise, he has no business anymore in the team, unless he leaves Leicester and becomes serious with his career.

Him and Nwakali should fix their career and discover their self..

By the way.....

I hope Pinnick the Warri T.D Jakes is not the problem of the super eagles?
