chrisooblog: You think it those guys were not impactful, Victor Moses will have that kind of platform to perform. Men those guys were heroes and did too well. Enyeama, Ideye, Ambrose, Emenike, Onazi did really well. |

4 of this these listed gentlemen were absent when Victor Moses alongside Mikel helped us qualify for the 2018 WC from a group of death. TheGoodJoe: 2 Likes 1 Share |

JohnBullMySon: I an not pushing people against Victor Moses. I am just showing that the idea of him being the best player is just talk. We had players in that time that also contributed immensely to the team. Those guys hardly get celebrated. |

chrisooblog: There were still other players then that supported the team. Mikel and Moses did not play all the wings on their own. If the whole team was terrible, the team will not succeed. |

applying for a switch and being approved does not automatically translate to invitation to the SE. But one thing it guarantees is being added to the pool of players at our disposal. andrewbaba44: 1 Like 1 Share |

A player can do this and still want to play for England. The point is, most of these players are not denying their roots. They are just expressing their preference. They still love their roots. ![]() E.g I love Nigeria, but I would rather bring up my kids where I'm at. TheGoodJoe: |

Joebie: I did not say that they are denying their roots. J said they do not have the passion to play for us. We have a big game to play to qualify for he world cup. A player with passion for the team will want a chance to help. These guys do not care for now. So stop giving red carpet treatments to convince them when they lack the passion. |

The problem is that most people that have that opposing opinion think they are more Nigerian and majority of Nigerians in Nigeria share their views. charlesemeka85: 1 Like |

They have a preference. That is normal in life. When they commit they will fully be committed. They are professionals TheGoodJoe: |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 4:22pm On Feb 22, 2022 |
Joebie: That is actually not the case. No one doubts there belief in their roots. At the moment, they lack the passion. Shola Ameobi turned us down repeatedly. When he was in the team, he showed so much passion. Even on the bench, he kept on barking orders. I am saying when they are not mentally ready leave them. How to know when they are mentally ready, they reach out. So create a channel for them to reach out. Stop the red carpet treatment. 2 Likes |

That's the mature stance. Make an approach. Get their reaction. And respect their reaction. Letting them know you know their preference. And it is okay. But when they change their mind they will be welcomed in the fold. They are professionals and you know they will put in their all anyways if that time comes. But if you act wounded, then that's a no no. modified But can you define this "red carpet treatment"? TheGoodJoe: 1 Like 1 Share |

Joebie: Bring up your kids where you want. It does not make them less Nigerian. The point is about football and the national team. Invite those with the passion to play. Let those that want to play reach out to us. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by JohnBullMySon: 4:25pm On Feb 22, 2022 |
TheGoodJoe:It is human instinct to fight for something if you have someone else going for it. Nothing wrong with that. We can't just sit back and expect them to declare for us when another country is watching. Do you know that Austria almost made Olayinka play for them before Nigeria discovered and invited him immediately. The only problem I would have is if there is preferential treatment within the National team setup after declaring. Well, I'm sure no coach is doing that. Rohr didn't, Eguavoen won't. So be calming down abeg. 1 Like 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe: Wait mk I ask you what do you mean by red carpet treatment? Are they don’t paid the same allowance others get after national team engagements? Abi nff Dey book private jet that takes them to their respective clubs after national assingments while others go back on public flights? Or are they guaranteed a starters shirt in the team upon acceptance to play for us? 1 Like |
