Immediately i saw the headline, I knew it was airtel. They are the most dubious network as far as data plan is concerned. Just buy glo or mtn and and also try and limit background apps on ur phone and ur good to go. Run from airtel pls..

I subscribed again this time 6G and after surfing the web for about an hour,I got a message that my remaining balance was 500MB.

Could I have tampered with a particular setting unknowingly or what could be the problem?

My phone is Infinix Smart 5 and I'm using Airtel network.
Did you by any chance connect your hotspot to your PC?

You people need to understand that smart phones are much more advanced than they were a couple of years back. Many apps on your phones now run in the background; these apps exhaust your data even if you do not access them.

Access bank did same thing to me including airtime recharge and cash transfer both to different benefactors, I begin to imagine the kind of notorious gangsters that are in access bank. I will have to stop banking with access seriously

They started that stupidity when it really mattered to me, I was busy working on my Pc (Programming) and the way my data kept finishing within a twinkle of an eye was so unusual. I had to call their Customer care Line and the way I Shouted at the fool who picked ehn, I'm very sure he'd have gone deaf for some minutes angry angry

Next is Access Bank, I did Transfer of 63k to get some Packages for my Room here in school, the account I did the transfer to hasn't received the money, and I was deducted, the seller has gone to his bank and they told him that the fault is from my own bank. I'll buy Airtime from my bank to my Second Line or transfer to someone, I'll be deducted but the Airtime wouldn't add to my Sim's balance nor the person I transfered to, and I wouldn't be refunded. Not to talk of the N300 they keep deducting everytime for heaven knows why sake!

Nothing really works in this Country honestly. I go soon Appear for Instablog9ja, anyday I create time enter any Access Bank Branch, wait for outside Canopy till e reach my turn, then enter inside bank, e no go Funny I swear!!

the only thing I know and have to say is, Airtel 4G data should be far less than that value in actual sense. AIRTEL DATA IS NEVER WHAT THEY GIVE TO YOU. 2G should be 800mb or so. My experience during my school days but they have good internet speed

Special thanks to the mods for moving this to front page to make it gain more views and comments and thanks to every comments here,none is useless. I have been able to adjust some settings and I'll give them a final try cos I've been using it for long,if it doesn't seem better then I'll have to change network.

The bigger and faster phone you
have, the faster your data depletes
because there are many background
Apps slowly munching away on
your data.

Any real smart phone used today will
generally chop close to 1G daily.

Simply go for larger data offerings
like an air tel package of N6k for
45G monthly.

Better buy mtn or glo. Airtel is very very bad. Quickly saps your loaded data no matter how high the gigabyte is.

I dont think its from airtel. Its either from 4g phone or 4g network. I bought 4g phone and briefly browse just a website with Mtn 4g network then 70mb vanished out of 90mb. I intend to switch to 3g network before I would browse next time.

1Gig dey last me up to 4 to 5 days on MTN
I do get 1gig for # 250 on MTN, atimes 1.5gig for #300

Go and get your self MTN or Glo sim,Glo no dey chop data at all

I was in that situation until they(Airtel) gave me one special package that I spend 1k for 5G. Since they migrated my line to that package I've been spending less and the data truly last.
