Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Enskynelson(m): 1:44pm On Mar 01, 2022 |
Eazeee:Yes, you can continue. Visit your study Centre with your admission letter and particulars for re-enrollment. It may take time as your Study Centre may be required to write the Academic Registry to reactivate your portal. And all that may take some time. If not for the stress of transcripts, I will suggest u consider getting a new admission as your previous payments and registration won't be seen in the portal even if you are added. |
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Eazeee(m): 4:02pm On Mar 01, 2022 |
Enskynelson: Thanks. But my observation is that i can still log into my portal with my matric number, so what do you mean by reactivating my portal? since i can still log in, is it wise for me to just go ahead with both semester & course registration? |
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Enskynelson(m): 4:17pm On Mar 01, 2022 |
Eazeee:If you can still log in, then you can just proceed with your registration. Many students' portal has been deactivated due to inactivity and you don't belong to that category |

Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by ThinkSmarter: 5:48pm On Mar 01, 2022 |
Hello Mr. Enskynelson. From the latest development where carryover pages were deactivated. And all COs joined together with fresh courses for the new semester. Does it mean that the courses one passed will be assumed as registered courses, while CO courses are relegated to the heap of yet to be registered courses. And if it happens that both ur COs and fresh courses for the semester under review are not more than the required CUs, they will all be registered as fresh registeration. By that implication, F can't be part of the CGPA calc, especially when u pass the course b4 graduat. Except maybe u got F in only one or two elective courses during ur finals, having satisfied the minimum 32TGE. Then the F can be part of ur CGPA calc.(Assuming the elective courses are waived) Because, this is the only logical way to prevent students GPA from sliding below 3.0 Cuz i heard that over 5000 PGD students were denied graduation for having below 3.0 What do u have to say about this my insinuation. |
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Enskynelson(m): 6:11pm On Mar 01, 2022 |
ThinkSmarter:Hey... If you want to register CO for instance 200L second semester CO, click Exams Registration, select 200 first semester exams. Click submit, click proceed. You will see only the CO and you won't see other courses you have passed. You are not required to register the course under course registration before exams reg pls. Take note. |
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Enskynelson(m): 6:19pm On Mar 01, 2022 |
ThinkSmarter:Concerning the COs and how it affect your CGPA: If you carry 24units and pass 22units and fail a 2unita course, you have earned 22units. When next you write the 2units carryover, your CGPA will be calculated by dividing your TGPE by 26 instead of 24units. That is how the CO affects your CGPA. Yes, CGPA required for PG graduation is 3.0 hence the minimum score to pass a course is 50 per cent. |
