VaselineCrew:What is holding Nigeria down? By wrongful use of land mass or contrived population figures as yardstick, a fraudulent political structure was created by northern Nigeria through its soldiers between 1967 and 1996 when 19 states and Abuja were proliferated in one Northern region, but only 17 states allowed in the two old southern regions. But land mass or population figures is never used as criterion to derive new federating units, like states or local government councils, in a country formed by diverse regions; worse, in a Nigeria under unitary government system. The 36 states and Abuja political structure practically assigned absolute political powers to Hausa/Fulani-led northern politicians, channels more of the country's development funds and federal allocations to the northern region. Northern politicians thus largely determine who should be presented to voters for presidential elections. This way, barely qualified leaders are imposed upon the country through sham elections. Hyper Corruption becomes inevitable among the political office holders. It creeps into the private sector. The fraudulent political structure ensures that no presidential candidate from the south of Nigeria can win Nigeria's presidential election, if northern region supports a northern presidential candidate. Thus, the self-acclaimed most educationally disasdvantaged northern region determines who leads Nigeria at every turn. Northern, Eastern and Western regions formed Nigeria at independence. Why would 20 new federating units be created in ONE region, north; but only 17 new political units in the TWO southern regions? If the political structure is not equitably rearranged in a democratic environment, the worst of Nigeria is yet to emerge. 1 Like |

guobe: Truly, we need God's help. Lagos is so hot as the average temperature has been about 29 degrees Centigrade, between the hours of midnight and 7am in the last few days. The public power supply has been non-existent too because of the collapse of the national grid. You can not help but envy people living in PH where temperatures at about the above time has been about 20 degrees Centigrade, showing that it's cooler over there. |

I can imagine and also in your shoes. However, you won't blame him since there is no light , you can't expect him to be in darkness if he has fuel in his generator. I urge everyone on this forum to try to devout at most 30seconds of our praying time and pray for this great country. Trust me he will hear our cries and give us succour in this times of hardship and distress. God bless Nigeria guobe: |

Outside is the best place to sleep now, sleeping inside is like hell. No light And some idiat wants to vote Tinubu. When there is no light, fuel etc how would one make money or live a relatively convenient life? If Osinbajo no contest make e just die any political ambition o. Cos all the all options available a detrimental, the once that we perceive as none detrimental are not serious enough. Why must we choose between evils? |
