Until you understand what is meant by the west,,you wouldn't get it. Ukraine did not make attempt to join nato in 1994. NATO issue started after annexation of crimea in 2014. Ukraine constitution was amended to allow her to join NATO.

As much as I side with the Russians, I must give this one to the Ukrainians. Balls of steel. I don't know if it's complacency or gross incompetence on the Russian side but I thought they would've taken great care to secure the ship yard. The Ukrainian Navy assets have been largely destroyed, but this attack is a major embarrassment to the Russians and will affect the ongoing operations in Mariupol. Smart move by the Ukrainians.

That said, don't celebrate yet. The Russians have 10 more Alligator Class Landing ships in same area. The question is if they'll risk using same port.

Overall, not impressed by Russia. And where the hell is their f@#king Airforce?

Ukraine is not a country Russia should invade. NATO excuse is nonsense. If Russia did not annex crimea and it did not conduct referendum for separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk regions in 2014, Ukraine wouldn't run to NATO.
