Sorry to say bro but you are capping heavily. 100%.

Sharia Law was introduced into the country by the Governor of Zamfara state in Oct 27 1999 by Ahmed Sani Yerima and 11 other Muslim populated states followed suit.

Like I said you literally have no idea what you're talking about

Sharia Court of Appeal was instituted by Ahmadu Bello in 1960 to rule on Civil matters. Furthermore, any decision made in the Sharia courts could not even be appealed in any other court in the land.

Go and look up Zaidan Vs Mohsen case in 1976, where the Supreme Court of Nigeria ruled that Sharia law not customary law governed the estate of any deceased Muslim.

The only think that happened in 1999 was that Sharia courts were now allowed to hear criminal matters.

Sharia law and full court has been around since independence, courtesy of Ahmadu Bello.

Don't take my word for it. Do your research

Yes, the man said there was 10 Northerners in the “NORTHERN REGION CIVIL SERVICE” when he joined and a promulgated a policy which is “Northern First” in filling of key position in the Northern Civil Service. He clearly said where they can’t get competent northerners to fill any post, they will hire other Nigerians or expatriate on a contract basis. The main goal is the capacity building of his people. It is not tribalism. It is putting your people first.

You see if you read your second paragraph again and part of your third paragraph, you will see you are practically supporting what I’m saying. The country was running a regional system of government and the man was firmly prioritizing his people in his region and you are trying to blame him for it today. Nowhere in his speech did he mention the “Federal Civil Service”. He was clear in that interview that he was talking about the Northern Civil Service.

Unless you can bring evidence that the West and East were bringing people from other position to fill key post in their region, you have no case against of tribalism against Ahmadu Bello. That he even decided to remain the Northern Region Premier instead of being the Prime Minister after independence should tell you everything you need to know about the man.

The rest of this post is just funny.

So in this country that you've lived in your whole life, where the overwhelming majority of heads of states have been northern, the armed forces are Northern dominated, the federal civil service is northern dominated, you're still looking for evidence that the Northern First policy was not a regional policy.

Really? grin

This is misrepresentation of fact again.

There is nothing like Sharia Law in the constitution as what we have was Customary Law which include moslem laws and every other custom laws.

Nowhere in the judgement was Sharia Law mentioned because there was no Sharia Law to be used. The people involved were Moslems from Lebanon who wanted the High Court in Warri to use the Administration of Estate Law to determine who will be the beneficiary of the deceased properties in Warri Nigeria. The High Court rightly held that since the couple were married in Lebanon under their Customary Law, it is customary Law of Lebanon that should be used. The matter was appealed to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court agreed with the judgement of the High Court. I have attached a screenshot of the judgement for everyone to read.

Here is the link for those that want to read the full case judgement.

I repeat there is no Sharia Law in our constitution, what we have are Sharia State which are binding only on the states that implemented it through their house of assembly. Till today we still have Customary/District Court all over the country.

For those that want to read more about Sharia Law/court, here’s a paper on it:

I'm not saying the pitch wasn't bad, The Kumasi pitch even looked better than it but just look at the opposition, This Ghana team was woeful, bad and had poor technique, Their only strength was parking the bus and a good GK, the Frontline was blunt minus the fact Andre ayew was suspended, If not for that fluke goal Im very sure they wouldn't have any shot on target, Okay even though the field was still restricting the ball's movement, at least they switched to long balls to utilize osimhen's strength and speed, but at least we saw the quality of some deliveries and shook our heads in disgust, Time was ticking fast but there was little show of desire, it was just as if they thought we would play extra time with that draw, In past years we have headed to worse pitches in Kenya, Ethiopia and CAR to grab wins so I don't really take the pitch as an excuse

Your knowledge in football is poor like ur technical team lol. Ur team come to Kumasi for a draw while y'all know about away goal rule smh and ur team is very poor at home, ur not serious. Our technical team had a plan to win in Kumasi and play draw in Abuja but that plan didn't go as planned, so our technical plan was to get an early goal and defend and it worked. grin grin grin

Hey Nairaland Fam, I know you guys must be tired of my long messages but I can’t help but type another one and even at that, I still won’t be able to convey all the emotions I am feeling right now and for the past 3 days.

When I decided to come on here to ask for help, I had 2 loans to pay off, I had only 2days left to pay up the first loan, i had very little expectations and I wondered if anyone would listen to me or help me since it’s been ages since I last communicated here. You guys did not only listen to me, You guys cleared up both loans even when I came to ask for help to clear just one, the loan of 31,200. You guys cleared that and also cleared the second one, I couldn’t believe the love I was getting, I couldn’t believe the number of people that were willing to help in any way they could, You guys even defended me against someone who is part of y’all, You guys went out of your way to help me, You guys made me not to feel ashamed, You protected me, you encouraged me, you gave me hope, you reminded me that Family isn’t by blood only, 10 years ago when I first joined this platform, if someone had told me a day like this would come were I’ll have people turn up for me in a faceless forum, I would have laughed it off and say it isn’t possible. I really wanna mention every single one of you that contributed in helping me clear my loans but I don’t know if y’all would like your name mentioned, But I know you and I thank God for you guys, You guys gave me hope again, You guys showered me with not just money, But also with love and Encouraging and uplifting words. I haven’t experienced anything like it, if I could learn how to say Thank you in a 1000 different languages, I would without even breaking a sweat. Only if y’all knew the deep hole y’all dug me out of, 2 days, I had just 2 days left, And in that two days, in fact, it was a day, in that day y’all turned up and came through for me, I had absolutely no idea where I would get the money from, I thought that was it for me but out of nowhere, y’all turned up for me in ways I would never have imagined.

I am very glad to inform you guys that I’ve cleared up all my loans and not only that, I still have some cash to spare, all because of you all, thank you for lifting up a very heavy burden off my shoulders. Thank You, Thank you, Thank you, thank you. I will forever be grateful to every single one of y’all for how you came through for me in the space of 24 hours. Thank you so so much my nairaland family.

I cannot wait to be back on here fully and continue from where I left of. Which is Hoping and Longing for Chelsea’s woes to continue again wink cheesy I’ll be back very soon as soon as I’m ready mentally… Thanj you guys so much once again.

The pitch might have been deliberately left that way. Based on the 10 minutes part of the game watched, the Nigerian team were strictly playing aerial balls, it was only the Black Stars that were moving the ball on the pitch, though the Nigerian team might have resorted to that due to the grass level.

Powerful speech by Wike. Sentiments aside, he's who we need.

Wike has the diplomacy and finesse of an Oshodi underbridge thug.

He's the kind of president who would ask a reporter, "So you can't say good morning, Your Excellency, first?" on live TV then proceed to pinch her cheeks as a reprimand.

A kingmaker? Yes. But he shouldn't sit on such a throne.

Is Eguavoen not wise enough to know that the Ghanaians will come with spoiling tactics and hope to park bus, and Nigeria as the home team should have the bulk of possession?

This problem may be even deeper than that. I suspect they don't have lawnmowers at that stadium because I did not see any lawnmower lines on that pitch. If you ask me, they laid that pitch few days ago and reasoned that they won't need lawnmowers to cut it before the match if they lay it with few days to the match. If a pitch has been cut, even a week ago, you will see the lines. Those fools didn't have lawnmower jare, and I doubt they had sprinklers cos I didn't see any moisture on that pitch to make the ball move. This looks like typical Nigerian cutting corners, building stadium to show-off with no consideration for the main Koko why the stadium was built. Like a Governor that will build road without drainage.

Addo the Ghanaian coach brought off Jordan Ayew for a CM at half time knowing it's easy work to park bus on that pitch for the second half
I don't know what led you to these conclusions. The pitch was the least of our problems yesterday. in fact few hours before the game, the pitch was been cut and the sprinklers were on few minutes before the game and also throughout the halftime break.

In 2013, Wike was Minister of State for Education then Acting Minister of Education. ASUU had gone on strike and the FG called them for the usual (futile) negotiations.

Instead of negotiating with ASUU leaders (even with bogus promises if you can), Wike commanded ASUU to resume. Commanded and demanded with threats.

ASUU leaders stormed out of that building, and it led to one of the longest strikes in Nigeria: 6 months.

MC Oluomo has more diplomacy and finesse than Wike. An arrogant thug at that.
