Deltans In Lagos Give Ultimatum To Ovie Omo-agege To Contest Governorship. by Ajegunleheroes(m): 9:37pm On Mar 29, 2022 |
The Apex group of Delta indigenes In Lagos state, known as the DELTANS IN LAGOS FORUM, issued a 40 day ultimatum to the Deputy senate president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to pick up the baton and contest for Delta state governorship in the forthcoming general elections in the year 2023. Read the full text of the press statement and ultimatum below: *40 DAYS ULTIMATUM TO DECLARE FOR GOVERNORSHIP IN DELTA STATE* *DELTANS IN LAGOS PASS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN SEN. OVIE OMO-AGEGE* 28th March 2022. "When good people do nothing, evil thrives". My fellow deltans. The world we live in today is intentional. Progress, change, development and upliftment are all the product of intentional efforts geared towards positive results. We are all witnesses to the travesty of justice, nepotism and tailored corruption that has plagued our beloved state. When our resources and God given potentials are juxtaposed with the infrastructure and security level we have today, one is poised to wonder if we have had previous leaders. We can no longer continue like this. The people of Delta need to start feeling the dividends of true democracy. We need to carve out a blue print of transformations and sustainable growth in all sectors of our economy. It is in this vein that after due consultations, deliberations and feasibility studies, we, under aegis of the *DELTANS IN LAGOS* forum hereby call on our illustrious son, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege to heed the clarion call of his motherland and take up the mantle of leadership in our beloved state. He is a dogged, trusted and highly innovative political prodigy who's political antecedents are well known. Loved by even his political enemies, he has shown in whatever capacity he has previously served in, stellar qualities that portray charisma, zeal to serve and discipline. We believe in his ability to transform Delta state to the Megalopolis we so much desire. We therefore call on our son, father, brother and mentor - Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege to fulfill destiny and take on the reins of power in our state. In the spirit of progress and patriotism, we hereby give him a 40 day ultimatum to declare for governorship in Delta state. It is time for change and we believe in his capability to enact the change we seek. A formal press conference to further push this noble agenda will hold on Friday, the 15th of April 2022. We are ready for the paradigm shift that will bring greatness to our state and total liberation for our people. We will not fail. God is with us. To a greater becoming.
