@sandy04 is it possible to give it a few months to arrange your documents/plans? The thing is a few people will get away with multiple deposits and unexplained credits but the majority wont. You will not be there in person to explain, whatever the case worker gets from your documents is what will be used to judge ur application in most instances. Better safe than sorry is always my motto. I am sure your brazilian travel experience would count for somthing in the right time. Just try to get the little bits right as much as u can 1 Like |

Good morning everyone Please a quick one So I invited my parents for omugwo when I had my baby august of last year and they stayed three months and left. I sponsored everything cos I am on a divorce process and my soon to be divorced husband is not the father of my child. We didn’t have any children together. My child’s father is on a student visa so he can’t really invite his mum due to his finances so I was wondering if I can be the one to invite his mum without involving the father in the application. I want for her to come for summer to see her grandchild and I will sponsor the whole trip. She is a retired nurse and she gets financial help from her own children. If I can invite her , how would I classify her in my invitation letter Since I am not yet married to her son as my divorce is not yet finalised. Or would it be better for her daughter based in Nigeria to act as her financial sponsor while I say I would be accommodating her at my house Thank you |

Toydex4real:Congratulations. It simply means that your visa has been approved. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by favoured247(m): 12:40pm On Apr 12, 2022 |
royalmu: Lol. It doesn't mean so. It only states that a decision has been made. Meaning the review of the visa application has been completed. So it's either the visa application has already been granted or refused. He should simply await his passport 3 Likes |

Toydex4real:Please if you have the means and you are in lagos, go ahead to tls office to confirm if your passport has returned. I am in the same shoes with you. I got a similar mail like this 3 weeks ago after sending paid mail. And my biometric was done in January. Till now my passport hasn't been delivered to me. |

Winsop:What are the financial circumstances of her daughter in nigeria? How does she earn a living? where does the father of the child live? Apart from being retired, what ties does your child’s grandma have again to Nigeria? Does she have a side business? anything bringing in income? does she have a husband to say she will return to? any property? any assets in her name? any travel history? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Winsop: 1:14pm On Apr 12, 2022 |
Her daughter is a senior executive director in one of the bank in Nigeria , the father of the child lives in the U.K. as a student , he is rounding up his studies , his mother will return back to her husband back home as she is her husband carer( he is Ill) but he will be taken care of by the daughter for the three weeks she will spend in the U.K. she does not have any side business , her children takes care of them , (my parents that I brought last year to the U.K. don’t do anything as well , I told home office that their kids i and my siblings takes care of them) my child’s grandma use to live in Russia years ago with her family as an expatriate before returning to Nigeria. All Property and assets are in her husband’s name My concern is if I am able to invite her rather than her son who is the baby father since I will be the one showing my finances and not her son. giselle237: |

I believe that learning foreign languages is now not just a useful activity, but rather a necessity, as it not only develops the brain but also provides an amazing opportunity to communicate with people from different countries. Sometimes it’s not clear where to start learning a language, and it’s cool that there are services like linguatics that post the best apps, online courses, and tips for online language learning. |

Winsop:your parents and her are not same circumstances.. so many diff abound. I guess u re worried about other things in terms of child’s father, your pending divorce and this visit.. well you can’t know except u try. You said the child’s father lives in the uk, do you and him live in the same home? Is there a genuine and subsisting relationship between the both of you with evidence? ? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Winsop: 2:53pm On Apr 12, 2022 |

Winsop:not only utility bill, make a project and show you both are in a subsisting and genuine relationship.. it is very important.. otherwise forgerritt also why you need her to visit + every other thing you did in your parents application.. i wont waste time on this cus im sure u know what to add. Ps her husband’s assets/properties can be submitted alongside her documents. Seen it done so many times whether her name is on the document or not, they are married. Then hope for the best. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Nativeborn: 12:34am On Apr 13, 2022 |
You need minimum of six months on your passport. Technically, you can't have a visa on your passport while its expiry date is less than the minimum visa that can be issued. In this case, UK issues 6 months for visiting visa but you've got 5 months on your passport. This won't work. You will need to wait to renew your passport a few weeks to expiry and then apply for the visa. Temitoppe: 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Nativeborn: 12:44am On Apr 13, 2022 |
Sorry about the refusal. The reason for the refusal is clearly stated. If you can fix the uncertainties in the letter, there is likelihood that will get the visa. Also, if you'd like to apply for a student visa, this refusal would not affect anything so far your new application atleast 6 months away the refusal date bear in mind also that you will need the whole UK visa processing to be completed before the resumption of the academic session at the school you intend to attend. All the best! Coolcube: |

Hello @Febfun, Here are the points I'd like you to buttress. From your explanation, you earn N670k and your expense is upto ~ 300k monthly leaving you with ~N370k. - You intend to travel with two kids - You have a fixed deposit. Always, the UK Visa Consular wants to be very convinced that you can afford the trip without breaking the bank On the average, you will want to book three return (3) flight tickets each of which costs averagely N365-N400k. (~N1,200 for 3 passengers). Then you also need to budget for accommodation, transportation, feeding and other misc depending on the number of days you would be spending. You will realise that the trip would cost you a minimum of ~N2.5M. The monies coming from your businesses should have been in a normal savings account instead of fixed deposit and by this way you could have an average monthly income (aggregate of your salary and income from businesses). The Consular wants to see a consistency in your income flow. The money received from your husband is also good. Also, I would advise if you cut down your monthly expenses to maybe N150k monthly. This would increase the amount of income available for you to spend. It would be worrisome to the consular If you would spend upto or more than six month (6) of your income on a single trip.
