Sometimes it's best not to reply certain calibre of people. Do you drive on Uber or have an office job? Doubt it. I do both myself. I still actively drive and I also have a full time job. Between sitting in the office and driving, I know which is a much much more harder job to do as far as Lagos is concern. I speak from an informed perspective, not just blabbing.

First of all, google is your friend. But if you are looking for a more scientific evidence, you can use yourself as a specimen for this experiment and for the purpose of this discuss. Drive 12hrs daily on Uber and Bolt for six months in Lagos, see if your leg is not seriously hurting and your movement when you walk have not drastically changed. Check if all is well with your general well being. Then continue again for another two years. Let's see if an ambulance will not take you to your final resting place when you are done with this experiment.

Is this still an analysis or u r wishing someone death.
Ehailing drivers even have d opportunity of stepping out of their cars after every trip. Who says u shouldn't stretch ur legs while waiting for your rider. Same cannot be said for interstate drivers. Lagos to Calabar is atleast 15 hours only one stop to rest n eat at Benin or Asaba. Same thing for Lagos to PH, Abuja, Jos etc so according to u all these The young shall grow, ABC, GIGM drivers die before their time abi.

Okay, so today I ordered for battery online, and it was delivered at home. Original price of battery was 26k but seller says they buy old ones and deduct the money from the price of the new one, luckily I had 2, so 6k was deducted and I ended up paying 20k. I don't know if anyone sees this as a good deal? (See image below)

@Northbird: strangely car didn't overheat after installing the new battery, weird. Will continue to test run and see.

It means the overheating is connected to the fan not blowing at full speed, cos d weak battery isn't supplying enough current. I recall I kept hammering on making sure fan is blowing at full speed.

Don’t mind him. He thinks everyone here is a greenhorn like him. I believe it’s either laziness or the ‘jjc’ factor that made him have such a blind point of view concerning driving.

Imagine someone blowing at 150kmph straight for up to 7 hours at a stretch and only slowing down for checkpoints. Imagine the strain on that person’s senses knowing fully well that any tiny miscalculation can send him to his maker along with numerous other souls aboard his vehicle. Imagine the concentration of that driver on Nigeria’s yeye highways with other drivers who may or may not be sane.

What haven’t I witnessed? I’ve been robbed, I’ve slept on the road for days due to a broken down vehicle, I’ve had fights with agberos and task force because of emblems in numerous cities, what of army and police wahala? Army have knelt me down and flogged me koboko because I was claiming ‘sharp driver’ on onitsha bridge (I will never forget that day), I’ve driven with disgruntled passengers for hours arguing inside the vehicle, one passenger has even slapped me from my back while the vehicle was in motion (I stopped the vehicle and wouldn’t move again until he disembarked), waybill wey loss for my boot nko? Holdup from ore to shagamu, shagamu to berger (because of ongoing road constructions), asaba to head bridge, head bridge pass upper iweka (especially when traders close from market or its seasonal times). I’ve left Lagos by 7am and reached my destination by 9am the following day on numerous occasions that I cannot count and it’s not that I was asleep or resting or repairing car oh, I was driving all through the night. What of when it’s Christmas time and we need to ‘do return’ meaning I’d leave lag to east and drop off my passengers then immediately return back to Lagos empty overnight to load at the pit again the next day? That time I’d be picking riders from tollgates at the different state boundaries along my route for peanuts just to make up fuel money.

You see hummer bus and sienna? There’s nothing you’d tell me about those vehicles that I do not already know.

Then someone will use his leprosy infested fingers to type that I .... chai! in fact I just tire. Thank God for my life oh. I have suffered and experienced stuff sha but it left me stronger.

Even while I was working in that transport company I saw men who had been driving marcopolo for decades and had kids in universities. They weren’t blind or lame oh. I worked my own and left the company and they are still there driving until this very day. Those ones will take millions away as gratuity when they finally retire.

Some Nigerians need to use their brains to reason before swallowing everything they read or hear hook, line and sinker or else they will remain painfully ignorant forever, and the problem is that they will try to pass that their ignorance unto someone else.

Follow that advice at Ur own peril.
No let them collect car 4 Ur hand oooo
Felicity is an owner.
Ask am weytin him eye see when partner collect car from am.
@glithronix pls just continue with Ur "much respect"
Make money and grow to owner.

I don't have time to engage you else I would have asked you some intelligent questions but as e b like this no time abeg.

But let me just ask you just 1 question. Did you ever rented a car or did hire purchase?

You don't have any idea of what its entails to hire or rent a car, wprk, pay, maintain the car and the next day the person tells you come with the car only for you to start looking for another for months. Can you ever please a man? Even God in his own wisdom said "trust no man" you've to trust a man be4 being loyal to that same man.

And I'm advising you'll and you're there saying take it at your own peril perilgrin

Another question, you that have been loyal to people what good have come out of it in the last 12 months?

Check if u can go online nau, shebi d App is in ur phone there with u. Every new driver has 7-14days grace to go for inspection after documents and car pictures have been sent online at registration time. After which u r blocked till u do physical inspection, pass it and upload your report

My current account was active for about 3months b4 it was blocked for inspection. I did my 1st inspection last month. I'm sure you remember when I got that account.

Chai!

Yes I drive on ehailing and yes I have an office job. In fact I have driven interstate hummer buses and Toyota Sienna in a transportation company for years in the past and I have far more experience driving and handling vehicles than you ever have. I can wager any amount on my experience driving being far greater than yours.

I put it to you that YOU sir are BLABBING. Is Lagos the worst state to drive in? Do you know there are other countries with crazier traffic than Lagos? In your myopic mind you believe the madness on the streets of Lagos can’t be rivaled anywhere else in the world right?

I have driven straight 10-15hrs journeys at least 4 times a week, every week for 2 years straight on our federal highways after that I have done ehailing full time in two different cities since 2018 and I still have my active accounts till today. I currently have an office job with a table and chair and drive occasionally whenever the spirit moves me yet I tell you that I am not using eye glasses or a walking stick today. This is myself as the example you spoke of.

Believe you me, I am definitely not the caliber of person you’d want to engage in myopic banter on here my man. Your so called experiment is what I have lived through for years in my past so you are in no position to tell me what I already know.

You can keep doubting for all I care, unless you’re ready to set money as a bet so we can display our credentials for everyone to judge then I am definitely done with you.

You have an "office job with a table and chair"? Lol. Can you screenshot your last earnings on Bolt and post it here? The company you drove for interstate doesn't have a name?

Everything you wrote here are all lies. Only a dumb ass will believe you. Just trying to be an orator, making up stories and a keyboard warrior.

Let me assume I never met this phony character. Goodbye Johnny Bravo!

Ore! Ore!! And the drivers don't drive everyday. Tho, I'm not supporting any assertion.

An average baba Iyabo stressless, he sit at his park with his fine ironed native or plain trouser with polished pam to fit. He eat his Amala, sleep or gist with colleagues till request come knocking. Maybe their cars are always their doom. You see an average Uber driver? Pressure is always written over them grin you can tell how their day is going, mere looking at them and the way they keep staring at their phones. And if one manage see 1000 trip among 6 drivers, the way he will drove majestically and stare at other drivers, you will think he just won a jackpot grin

Dru, I don't quote people just for quoting sake...all the guys you mentioned up there, apart from no 4, came from a wealth background and got the necessary loans to start up their dreams, they all did understudy in a corporation that aligned to the empires they built today, put 100% energy in building your empire, not 100% energy in driving for bolt and Uber, it has no future it offers you, it's just a side hustle that offers one a cash cow like structure.

Dangote grand father was one of the wealthiest man in his time and dangote plugged into that.

Elon musk father, errol was a wealth engineer and real estate guru here in Africa .

When you offer motivations, try to understand the foundation of those people involved, how can you sell a Elon musk or bill gate dream to a Uber driver, earning less than 25$ in a day

You said u started as a car owner, did you buy your first car from driving Uber or bolt . Having cars on the platform gives you a foot advantage, next to it is driving your own car on the platform.

Work smart, invest your energy on process that will change your financial struggles, not the ones that will compound it or make it a rat race, driving on ehailing without thinking of alternative is a rat race and if you allow it take most of your youth days, you will have yourself to blame, get all the money you can and invest in better ventures.....

Naaa... surrounding breeze isnt enough. Since u said it's when u accelerate or try to climb a hill that d overheating starts it means d engine isn't getting the required cooling to compensate for the extra energy and heat generated when the car does more work. It's either fan or clogged radiator or engine is nearing it's end.

Weak battery can even make your Car movement sluggish even though it still starts

Na so I set out to work around 4am…it was approaching 8am and all I had made on bolt was getting close to 10k. I got to freedom way and u know dat the traffic light at d turn is two..I crossed d first when it was yellow and about turning to red. Na so lastma come wan arrest me..telling me to open my windows and trying hard to open my door….remembering one of felicity’s experience Na so I no gree wind down or open door…two lastma officers came to join the person trying to arrest me, but I still stood my ground looking at them as they tried making me give them access
Finally traffic light turned green…cars in my front don move Na so I reason to do hoodlum driving as most drivers here….i started moving d car and the lastma officer standing in d front of d car got that feeling say if em no comot from dere I go clear am…Na so God save me from dem o…Omo na unto say I broke I even head out to work in d first day ..make I come dey find way to borrow money to pay lastma

I am sure that AC is working nonstop, it's supposed to pick and pause from time to time.
I guess the thermostat is the culprit, if it continues like this the AC compressor will soon pack up the ice on that hose will block the passage.
That's why it's supposed to pause at some point and allow for it to defrost, take it to an electrician.
