I don’t think the parent of this girl should be blame in this incidence. As a parent I try to train my children on good morals and attitude while at home. In the family, children behavior alway centered on the attitude and behavior of their parents. In the school, behavior of the children are tailored down to the discipline and training received from the teachers. So while in school teachers are expected to guard these children well. If there is any bad behavior within the school the school must be held responsible.
A parent that entrusted his/her daughter to the school expect good report not this bad news. Let us have it in mind that this case didn’t happen in Nigeria but far away Dubia.

Spot on.

You'll also agree with me that more than morals are needed to instil good behaviour in a child. Teachers can only do their work in the day. What happened at night? What happened elsewhere? What happens on social media?

They see many things!
I agree with you
What happen on from Friday to Sunday

You reason like this because you're not in the system.

What would you have a teacher do when you can't correct the child?

I've seen a parent come in to tell the teacher to steer clear of anything moral as far as it's her child. She should leave the moral aspect to her and face her teaching.

I've seen a teacher given note to kids on Obedience and Respect, only for the parent to write inside the same note that it's wrong to teach a child that. That the child should question anything before doing it. She's exercising her rights.

I've seen where a parent brought in policemen to arrest the child's teacher because he scolded him about habitually defaulting with homework.

I've seen yet another came to threaten me simply because I counselled the child to be up and doing with her studies and borrow a cue from her big brother.

I've seen parents come to beg for marks for their kids when they fall short.

The admin of schools seemed to have joined a consensus that throws you at the parents, no form of protection even when you mean well for the child.

In my school, it's a policy, we don't beat. What would a teacher do than look away when as it is now, you can't even admonish or correct them? These kids know and they leverage on it. The teacher isn't lazy or nonchalant, their hands are just tied.

You know a teacher's work is regimented, If you don't do your assignment, I'll just write in your book: Assignment on so so and so Not Done, then I'll put date and signature. If na 10 assignments you no do, I'll sign in your book 10 times, ma ya look away. If I'm questioned about scanty work load, I refer them to the books of other serious-minded children.

It's not all a tale of woes. There are still a few parents who wouldn't condone nonsense and value the fact that teachers and parents must work together for optimal results.

I'm not trying to cover up for the defective attodites of some many parent today, But you'll agree with me that, students spend more time at school than at home.

I know to an extend parents are also to be blamed But then you should also consider the fact that they spend over 300k per term, to ensure the school discipline their children properly... I mean the services are not free. They paid for it. So why can't they discipline them

for instance:
~People die through road accident, does that stop you from traveling or buying your own car?

~People die through food & drink poison, does that stop you from eating or drinking?

~Many Parents have warned the school not to discipline their kids, but does that mean when they see a child is going astray they shouldn't discipline him/her??

Honestly speaking, the school is to be blame.

I remember fingering my classmate's pussy named bukky then in secondary school during class cheesy

Her pussy was so wet, tight and odour free, after fingering her,I would lick my hands and look into her eyes with passion

We finally had sex in the school toilet one day and i really enjoyed myself....I would tell her not to go home after class that we should meet at the school toilet, and our school toilet was always locked with keys given to school security but I always had my way cos I was so nice, gentle and respectful to the security men

I'm talking wayback 97 or 98

The reason I believe might be because the parents of the boys are not calling for a false justice.

They probably acknowledged that their boys have brought shame to the family, I believe.
I just hope so buddy because the blame on the parent of the girl is skyrocketing within social media... That made me wonder about the others...

I remembered as a ten year old boy, I felt out of place sitting with a girl in the same seat those good old days... I sat with a girl during our common entrance exam only...

Nowadays, a ten year old not only sit together on a chair but also sit on a dick...the most disturbing is that they know different sex styles

First let me correct a misconception, they spend fewer hours in school.

Then read my post again, the parents don't want you teaching their kids morals. For some of them, it's a taboo. They want you to concentrate on the Maths and English lessons and leave morals for them. And because the management wants their money, they allow these evils to fester and we breed sociopaths who come back to torment all of us.

No. Students spend only 8 hours or less in school (8-4). The rest, plus weekends, are spent at home. In the same school, we have children who listen to their teachers and their only goal is coming first in class. So yeah, parents have failed!

Some of these girls are possessed, they mostly are the ones who lure the boys into the act, I have seen such while growing up. The girl in question was not up to 9yrs. She created a little tent with women rapper and brought in about six boys into the tent and asked them to go nude. She proceeded to examining their now erected penis. At the end she asked the one with biggest penish to come have sex with her while others watch. She did this act several times. So, these girls are agents of darkness.

Look, as a parent, once you send your child off to school, the absolute duty to safekeep and protect the child rests with the school. The parents are not to blame in anyway here because the incident happened far away in Dubai while the child was in custody of the school or through its superintendents (here teachers or other school workers). For the girl in question, it bleeds my heart that you are even thinking of blaming her, a mere child of 10. What's wrong with you? The child is incapable of knowing the implications of her actions at this age. Please stop talking about subjectivity here. I am a parent whose child is at least 5/6 years older than that child. For over 13 years of schooling I pick my children up from school; I know what I am saying.

Jesus Christ!!!
I suggest u take ur children to their grandparents for to avoid havoc if there isn't any underlying one.

@Gentlerespect76 I disagree with your arguments.. The parents and to some extents d school are to blame. I mean we all know the snares children face in school, but if as a parent you give your children liberties at home and fail to prepare them for the encounters at school, you are sure to fail. And dnt go blaming others for your failures

When some societies structured their educational system in such a way that females and their male counterparts sit in a different classrooms, we are quick to condemn them. What we are seeing now is the effect of freedom we are craving for.

Nigeria Elite schools are just loosing value every single day.

~No good morals

I feel Elite schools are just for mere business ground. They are just ripping parents off their hard earned money. I can't be paying over 400k in a term and you can't instill good morals on my kids.

Now, I think parents should consider registering their children in government schools.

Sir/Ma, the school does not have the responsibility, ability and power to instill good morals on the students...It must begin from the homes.

By the grace of God, I have worked in two of such schools where I taught children of billionaires, governors, NASS members.

Till today, I am still impressed with the conduct of some of the daughters and sons of some of these people. Impeccable in character...

I told the son of a former governor who I taught then that I would deal with him if he dares me because he was a bully and the school was condoning him, sadly, his father is known to be strict and would not hear of that. But the school was afraid to lose him as a student.

BOTTOM LINE: Morals and character formation starts from the Homefront...

When Jesus Christ will come back again , the world will be cleansed . Before then , accept Jesus Christ or you’ve accepted Ekwensu . Many habits I mean many evil habits guys and girls cultivated came from their school days . The only Solution is to return the damaged vessel to the one who is the best Potter . He will mould you until you become a Vessel of Honor unto God . Well it’s not by force you can as well reject the escape offer and fall into this deep hole . Jesus will solve Israel and Arab conflict, Russia and Ukraine , even Nigeria case will be solved . All will be well , no more corruption. The Sun left with his anger , and their new light comes from God . Wow a new earth has arose . Na wa I want to be there please Lord .

But I'm glad he did, as I'm smiling right now cheesy. Spare the rod and destroy the child.

All these things are not new , they've been there, the only difference is how far technology has gone. Even in my secondary school way back in the '90s, pregnant girls were expelled, so its nothing new. This boils down to how we were raised and how children are raised now. Parents no longer scold or correct their children when they do something bad forgetting that a child now will become a parent later if he/she so desires. Of course as the saying goes"You can't give what you don't have". Let us all go back and ask ourselves questions, the society we see is what parents bring up. These Chrisland pupils and so many children behaving this way still tells us that we have FAILED as parents. So my advice to us all is let us teach our children the right thing at all times, tell them why they shouldn't do the wrong things..Gracias.....

Parents don't allow their kids to be disciplined so these school wouldn't want to go out of buisness because of their disciplinary measure therefore, the standard is reduced

Most private schools are good\Safe for nursery and primary, from secondary school they are good in terms of teaching bt highly irresponsible and corrupt cos the kids are given more freedom than necessary especially if it's boarding school they will ruin ur children. Many rich spoilt kids spoiling themselves and others.

it starts from home then spreads in the schools.
