With the way Nigerian government has shown itself over time, government should have no business doing business. If they want to venture into any industry, its best they hand the running and management of those companies to tested private individuals. Businesses need the best brains to thrive. Nigerian governments run a warped form of federalism. So when it comes to employment into any government organization, federal character takes priority over merit. Then also, with the proliferation of corruption and nepotism, available jobs are either given to friends and cronies or tribesmen of those in charge, or its given to the one with the money. Naija politicking should be replaced with hypocrisy. Evidently enough, most completed (but not functional) and uncompleted projects were mostly an avenue used to loot huge amounts of money by the political thieves |
