UI Lecturer Drags Her Professor Husband To Court Over Unpaid Children’s School by Horlarwaileh(m): 10:15pm On Apr 29, 2022 |
Professor Sikiru Babarinde, a lecturer at the Department of Early Childhood and Educational Foundations, University of Ibadan has been dragged before a Grade A Customary Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, by his spouse, Dr. Bilikis Babarinde, over the non-payment of their children's school fees. The professor was accused of disobeying a court order which had directed him to cater to the three children bore from the union, pending the dissolution of their marriage. It was reported that he only paid the school fees during the first term and refused to pay in the second term academic session.Dr. Bilikis, who is also a lecturer at the Department of Library, Archival and Information Studies Faculty of Education, of the same university, had earlier told the court that the 20-year marriage to her estranged husband had broken down completely and should be dissolved. The counsel to the respondent, Mr. Yusuf Anikulapo, told the court that the professor paid the first term fees of the children but the wife had been frustrating all efforts to resolve the matter and trying to poison the mind of the children against their father. He also argued that his client had earlier filed an application challenging the jurisdiction of the court committal on the matter and said his application on jurisdiction ought to be heard before other applications. The President of the court, R. Gbadamosi, said the court would take the applications for jurisdiction and committal together in order to save time, and the case was adjourned till May 16 for a hearing of the application on jurisdiction and committal. |

See what learned couples are playing? The futur of their children is at stake for some stupid reasons. You need wisdom and prayer to be a father, is not by bunch of certificate. 2 Likes |

amazing stuff...this mentality of some men is very bad...you will have issues with your wife and your children would suffer...every little thing the man would claim the woman is poisoning the mind of the kids...as if the kids are blind or deaf that they don't notice the actions of the man...some men should really learn to be a little more responsible especially in areas that affect the life of their kids whether directly or indirectly.....KEEP THE MARITAL MISUNDERSTANDING AWAY FROM THE KIDS PLEASE 2 Likes 1 Share |

Rotten homes! Being a professor does not mean you can manage a home or a nation. |

And he's in the department of early childhood education... And refused to pay for his children's education?.. what an irony... I'm just wondering what could make a working father to be reminded by his fellow man to take care of their kids... If he is working and earning salary and It takes a fellow man like him in the person of a judge to remind him to take responsibility for his kids education, I think he should hide his face.. Assuming he's not working, it would have been a different kettle of fish entirely.. |

godofuck231:They are both professors in this case and both going through divorce so I doubt it is the case that the woman hasn't been commanded to contribute her share. This a man withholding from his kids because of a personal grudge he has with his ex. |
