At this juncture, I think it's high time we started calling tribes out because things are getting out of hand.

For every crime pattern peculiar to particular tribe, hundreds are already committing the same crime, but they have not been caught yet. If the media can report that Fulani herdsmen killed people in Benue State, then it's only fair for the same media to say that:

Igbo youths scammed some foreigners in their country or that they were caught with wraps of hard drugs for sale or that some Yoruba boys were caught with human parts.

This will help these ethnic groups/tribes understand that these crime patterns are prevalent in their regions and make efforts to tackle them within themselves, chiefly by sensitisation and enlightenment.

In conclusion, the media should be fair in its reportage. You cannot say Fulani marauders kill people and not include tribe when you talk about other Nigerians committing crime elsewhere in the world. It's either we include tribe or we don't.
