In Abuja since after that fuel and diesel scarcity, it's like Glo and other network decided to switch off some of their Base Station mast in other to save cost.

Because in my area Glo 4G was very strong. But during that Nepa blackout and fuel scarcity the network turned to 2G ever since.
Likewise the mast near my house,it’s always off this days but I don’t blame them, they rely solely on diesel they don’t use PHCN
there is no way businesses in Nigeria can sustain without increasing the price

The have already increased all their tariffs since. Meanwhile, they have money. If glo can be wasting it's money on celebrities, it shouldn't complain of diesel and staff salaries

Increase will see a sharp decline of activities on their respective network

SMS is no more relevant today. I wonder why they want to increase the fee.

-Bank Alerts
-Messages from your products or service providers you patronize on your birthday or to inform you of modifications etc
-Bulk notifications etc

Are still very much relevant

Telcos can. they have already increased the tariffs long ago. If u notice your data drains faster than the usual. I understand their operations are expensive, but check out how glo spends on celebrities and other frivolities. It shows that they have money

You buy data of 5k you can't use it for 10 days.
Diesel Price has increased by over 150% in the last 4 months
This is not a rocket science they have no choice than to increase the price otherwise they will borrow to power Mast or go bankrupt

My problem with Buhari/Tinubu orchins is that you don’t like telling yourself the truth.

They have been using diesel from time immemorial, yes, how much where they buying it before?
Diesel was merely 220-250 per liter, but today that same diesel is 750, how then do you expect them to break even?
