Good advice from my oga. I learnt the hard way with Wapco. Sold after holding for 1 year and now the price is galloping. Patience is key if you're holding fundamentally sound stocks..
It's well.
Can remember you swap WAPCO for UCAP.......
You'll just have to be very patient this time around, UCAP should be able to compensate you.

If you have other funds use it to be trading other stocks and be earning price appreciation for now.........all the financial stocks are just somehow down at the moment. Their time will come.....

Please i need help from God spirited man of good spirited man, whichever is applicable.

I need to cry out! I've never seen this kind of thing.
Does it mean that all doors are closed to other buyers when a stock is trending/ on full bid?
I have been seating with computer for the past three days trying to buy some four stocks and it has been impossible, eventhough i didn't add price limit!

Morgan capital says no one wants to sell. For three days? Is it only a falling stock that is buyable? There is ting of frustration running down my spine.
Aunty Mercy, et all, please help.

If you were unable to buy and people are buying, it means they placed bids before you every day; or their brokers did.

I have long learnt not to attempt buying stocks on full bid. I can remember a few years ago when OANDO came back from suspension. I was always queueing to buy while it was on full bid and recommended by a friend. When I finally got, OANDO traded within a range and started falling.

I waited to bail out and finally did at a loss; then said never again.

Thank you dear. Just that all the other stocks, apart from banks, have sky-rocketed in price. I don't know which stock is still ok to buy at current price.

Lol. This is just it Oga Toluway.
Calculate 10% on top of the closing price of the bid today, add it to the closing price, should give you the max for the next day.....
Be on your PC by 9.20/9.25, fill in the buy column and just be waiting for the minutes to clock 9.30/9.31am........and submit ....to be among the earliest bidders ......

Profit takers/the fearfuls used to sell earlier, your bid will be filled up.... smiley

Same applies to selling.........calculate 10% of closing price and minus from the closing price, place your offer earlier.......

Remember the rules of some stocks with 0.01, 0.05 or 0.10 range mvmt.

For instance:
INTBREW closed @8.90 yesterday, 10% of 8.90 is 0.89, the highest trading % for today would be 8.90+0.85 =9.75.....which you can see in market today.

This early bidding or offer placement has its own advantage and disadvantage as well........pays jijoists mostly. smiley

If you'd been following the thread, you would have know which and which to try your luck with, before the prices jumps up......

Can remember calling attention to INTBREW on the 4th or 6th of this May, that Oga OGG has been hammering on it, don't even know it's time for upward swing is/was so close......

Quite some stock picks here form the ogas before the stocks jumps actually.

It's inexperience that will make you to be chasing a hot stock. By the time your offer is filled, it would probably be end of that bull round. One thing is certain, other opportunities will show up. You must understand that you are also competing with your stockbrokers. To win the game, you must be ahead of them i.e. be comfortably sited in the bus before they identify it.

PEACE

You might need to do some research. Look for companies that are growing their earnings at almost double of the inflation rate in Nigeria and their PE is less than 12. Return on equity of 15% and above.

A new board has been constituted by FMN in Honeywell......
Honeywell is no longer in Oba Otudeko's care again....
I just posted the Board meeting resolution not long ago....

Do DD in Consumer goods and try and surf thru Oga Oracle's recent posts and know some sectors that might perform well.

Pls do your DD.....and be cautious in your picks...
You may consider those that haven't taken off ahead of those that has gone up.......well, depending on the info at your disposal.

Boss please permit me to steal a little from your reservoir of investing knowledge. I have noticed that different investors have different metrics by which they value companies. But if I may ask, taking into consideration the Nigerian factors that affects the market like inflation, FX et all, what method would you say works best (based on your own experience).

Not everyone can be like Baba Agba. Who ever knew that this bull would start when it did?
In my inexperience therefore, i have decided to start throwing my bids into moving vehicles of selected shocks that i would be ready to keep, if things ho hazy. It has paid off, though i started late. There was a stock that gave 10% on the very day i jumped in, and it's a great stock that would trend for long. Presco. This stock already gave me 300 elsewhere but it was a meagre investment. I re-invested in it. You can also buy Okomu at any price and go to sleep for now. Same witj mtn. All these are expression of my own personal conviction and opinion.

Yap my lord, you can only be everywhere if you're a jijoist. Unless you're a the Oracle himself. Or a macurial analyst like Oneswiftguy. This bull was a big surprise, and it is so selective and avoided many of my stocks. and i came late. Very wise to jump into moving buses selectively. And it gives you the advantage of knowing about many stocks. God is with us.

(Do your due diligence as this is my opinion)

Near term (to Long term) prices if there is a parabolic move on NSE index and stocks.

JB 100 to 120
WAPCO 150+ if not more.
Dangote cement 450 to 500
Seplat 2k5+
Nestle 3K+

Flourmill needs to spike out of control towards 200 to 300. Food crisis will get severe and man must chop

Conoil 300+
Total 600+
FO 450+
Transcorp 15+

Bua cement is about to breakout. It will be rapid. Soon people go begin drink cement.

For the Brewers, I gave possible price targets earlier. Because when economy/globe good, you drink to celebrate. But when economy/globe bad, you drink to cure stress and depression.

For Banks, I gave possible price targets as well.

With these, NSE ASI will easily do 100K and above.

(Based on TA only. Fundamentals lag Technicals)

For brewers what about champion brew?
