donstan18:He doesn't need to answer- I'd do so. I'd do you 2 better and name 4 Muslims [verified Muslims] who continually slander Christians and Christianity on Nairaland. Ready? I am too. 1. 'Apostle Suleiman represents pastors and all are 't0t0 sniffer". Jesus couldn't perform any miracle, and he couldn't save himself from being crucified.' https://www.nairaland.com/7057652/muslim-skip-fasting-he-nothing/2#111564894 . Nairaland moniker: Gawu1. 2. '[Jesus] is neither God nor son of God as claimed by some.' https://www.nairaland.com/6908707/return-prophet-isa-jesus-peace#108771319 Nairaland moniker: Lukgaf . 3. 'Why can't you call Jesus the son of Angel Gabriel since his the one that they blew air into the Virginia of marry.' 'But to achieve you lies... You associate Jesus with God, you over hype him.' https://www.nairaland.com/6908707/return-prophet-isa-jesus-peace/3#109161810 Nairaland moniker: HeeBraHim2 4. Local-search "pastor tithe" and you'd see Muslims having a swell time insulting Christianity and Christians. https://www.nairaland.com/search?q=tithe+pastor&board=44 I could go on and on. Muslims slander Christianity daily and they are protected with a separate section for them. They mostly go unchallenged because not everyone wants to swear that oath of allegiance to Allah before commenting in the Islam for Muslims section. 18 Likes 2 Shares |

airmark: Is there any difference in how both the Quran and the bible describe the event of how Mary/Mariam conceived Jesus/Isa ? ![]() How come that the story of how Moses/Musa parted the red sea is found in the bible and in the Quran ![]() Why was both events pointing to the same villain Pharaoh? Did both books talk about Angels ? Did both books talk about Heaven and hell? How come both of them talked about the day of resurrection? Did any of the book deny the coming of the anti-christ? Why is the story of Noah and the flood found in both books and not just one ? Did they both not confirm the story of sodom and Gomorrah? Didn't Quran talked about God's favour on Israel just as he did in the bible ? These and many more should tell you both books came from the same God. Where did I say the bolded? |

One thing about these low budget atheist wannabes is their unhidden hatred for Christians. I'll be right to say they even harbour more hatred and disdain in their hearts than the Muslim fanatics carrying out the killings. You can easily tell by the way they revel in matters attacking Christians, subtly celebrating barbaric acts and brazenly cheering on the fanatics and hailing their acts. If someone can defend a man callously ending the life of another in the name of defending the honour of a God or prophet, he's not different from the killers and if he claims so then he's clearly confused. 3 Likes 1 Share |

popizaino: Sorry for mistaking you for Donstan on the emboldened. Photocopy ko easy. That's what you get when you don't copy properly and even allowed goat to eat your writing notes. ![]() Was Jesus given birth to under a palm tree? It's just like someone telling you that you were born in Las Vegas when it was recorded by your family members that you were born in Naija. Common sense should tell anyone that story from such source should be jettisoned. The real Jesus Christ was crucified, Isa wasn't, according to the Quran. So why will any sane person go with a story told by a source missing targets like Morata in front of goal? Ogbeni, Isa is not Jesus. 10 Likes |

A001: Since I was a kid I’ve always known atheists, fire brand Pentecostals , devoted celestials, unrepentant Roman Catholics , devoted Muslims; the liberals and the ones who don’t compromise on tolerating other religions . In fact I attended a public secondary school and I was exposed to all of these religious sects amongst students and teachers alike. Thus far nothing has changed. Internet only enabled each and everyone of them an avenue to propagate whatever they choose to believe in. Anybody that claims nairaland made it possible for him to become an atheist had probably been nursing atheism in his mind for a while . |

Android22:Donstan18 claims they don't fear anybody anywhere lol. Those guys are cowards, they behave like Cultists who won't attack or do anything when they're few or in the minority. It's only when they're in the majority you'll see them moving mad. Rarely will you see an aboki man kill somebody in the East because of Muhammad ![]() When you engage them in that regard, you'll know they no like wahala cos they're in the minority but if it's the north, the story will be different. 5 Likes |

BlueRayDick: You realize anecdotes are not representative of facts. You can't use your personal experience to generalize a situation. I was as religious as can be growing up. I grew up in a fanatical home. Nairaland is responsible for me beginning to doubt my faith. Also, watching and understanding foreign movies too. Before personal research and understanding of various other religions. Soo you cannot say we should stop talking about issues because people will never change their minds, that's a highly dubious premise. What then is the aim of arguments? Is it not to exchange ideas and point of views? 5 Likes |

DissTroy:You did well researching... I personally know Gawu as someone who slanders Christians unprovoked here. He’s even the reason I asked Dayo to name 2 because I felt he’ll know him. The rest, especially the “Local Search” were comments from arguments, possibly reiteration to Christians who’ll never mind their business but to attack them first on this forum. You’ll hardly see Muslims attack Christians on their own. Quote me anywhere, it’s a fact we all know, including you. And yes, you’re wrong. Seun did the right thing with that oath stuff, else “I too sabi” Christians would have littered Muslim sections with their stupidity and unnecessary slanders. We know how both religion members react to news regarding the opposite religions online. 2 Likes |

popizaino:This question shows you've not taken the time to research the history of the gods and religions. Starting from the local examples here: Orunmila, Obatala, Odua, Ogun, Sango, Osun, Oya, and co are the local gods or deities who earned the title of god by deifying themselves or were deified by their people for achieving one historic feat or the other in the past. In fact, all the pagan gods of Yoruba culture were humans that had existed in the past. The first person that welded (designed) the first sword; the first person that made the first brick house; the first person that killed a monstrous creature in a place, and many other firsts in history were deified by their people when the majority of humans weren't exposed and civilized. That's real history, not a claim. The same thing applies to all other cultures around the world, and by the time you read the history of the chief gods (the gods/deified humans had hierarchy like the present-day humans) of various cultures, such as Atum and Ra of the Egyptian culture, Zeus of the Greek culture, etc. and study their religious texts, you realize these chief gods had also existed in the past like the smaller deities such as Ogun and co. Then, studying the attributes of all these gods (irrespective of their hierarchy) in their religious texts, one notices their human-like attributes, with each major god claiming (competing for) the title of God Almighty or the Supreme God (the battle of supremacy). Obviously, it becomes glaring that the gods of religions are the ancestors or deified humans of the past. In other words, whether it's the major or chief gods like Olorun, Atum, Allah, Jehovah, Zeus, etc. or the smaller ones like Ogun, Odua, Obatala, Osun, etc. all the gods of religions are past beings or higher beings. (They're higher beings because nature gifted them with special abilities that other humans, the average persons of lesser abilities, see/saw as supernatural or spiritual.) They're elements or aspects of the Universe like everyone of us, and whether a seemingly mysterious ability is supernatural or not is a question of one's level of intelligence and abilities. |

donstan18: Goalpost shifting? I'm still game. But you'd have to give something in return. Here's the deal: Would you post a 1000-word apology letter here to everyone of the Christian faith on this thread whose sensitivity you have offended if I post 5 comments or posts of Muslim attacking Christians and Christianity unprovoked on Nairaland? I'd throw in an extra 3 of such posts/comments to represent the shirt on the Chelsea FC shirt as a sign of goodwill. Are you game, Donstan? 10 Likes 2 Shares |

BlueRayDick:Internet exposes a lot of things and allows one to learn about other philosophies and religions and interact with people of other religions/philosophies. If not for Nairaland and the Internet, I won't be able to have access to some great books of history, philosophy, and science. Some books one downloads for free online or borrows in an e-library for reading are quite costly offline. |
