Sit-at-home: Adopt Another Approach, Delta Government Begs IPOB, Unknown Gunmen
Hoodlums suspected to be linked to IPOB while enforcing the sit-at-home order allegedly killed one person

The Delta State Government has appealed to members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to adopt other ways of driving home their agitation.

Although it blamed the Nigerian Government for its poor handling of agitations in the country, it noted that the current sit-at-home approach was not only putting the lives of residents in danger but also negatively affecting the economy of the South-East and neighbouring states.

Hoodlums suspected to be linked to IPOB while enforcing the sit-at-home order allegedly killed one person, razed two trucks and one tricycle and riddled a Volkswagen car with bullets on Wednesday, in Ugbolu, near Asaba, Delta State.
 
Addressing journalists after the State Executive Council meeting in Asaba, Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu, admitted that the Nigerian Government did not handle the issue relating to the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, properly.
 
“It is true some of us believe the Federal Government should have been able to handle the issue of Nnamdi Kanu, our brother, much more mature in such a way that it will not lead to agitations.
 
“Nobody is happy about what is happening in the South East, and, so, we plead with our brothers who are asking people to stay at home to take a second look at it because it does appear we are inflicting more injury on our people.
 
“It is affecting our economy in the South East, I use the word ‘our’ because whatever that happens to our brothers in the South East also happens to us.
 
“So, we are pleading with our brothers to adopt another means of agitating without having to pose danger to the livelihood or any other person for that matter, while we hope that the Federal Government would possibly find reasons these things are happening,” he said.

That's the best thing to do. Humble and sincere appeal. No threats and violence. Violence dey help sit at home same way air they help fire burn.

Sit at home works this way: once any state opposes it and tells her people to go about their normal business. The agitators with their armed wing, UGM, Arsonists etc will appear on the streets on one of the Monday's and engage security operatives in a gun battle.

The residents will scamper for safety, they will run kitikiti katakata leave their offices, shops back to their homes, one or two will die from stray bullets. The govt will blame the armed UGM or Arsonists for the deaths, even the ones that die from their reckless shooting, they will not claim responsibility.

What do you expect the next Monday. All man go relax for house. Who want make stray bullet kill am or his pikin.

He centered everything around Buhari/Jubril and Fulani as if that is the only topic that created or will sustain the agitation. Even if Peter Obi is elected President, the need for Biafra still stands.

He insulted Igbos by trying to force people and other groups that aren't interested into the Biafran Plan. He became what he preached against; a Unity Coercer/Beggar. Giving the impression that Biafra will become a desperate imperialist.

He didn't treat pivotal issues concerning the transition from Nigeria to Biafra. Nothing convincing. No Game Plan , No Structure. Just Talk.
The influence he would have converted into widespread civil disobedience that will cripple the FG in SE and redirect power and funding to a parallel Government has been wasted.

We can all do this peacefully instead of forcing and killing people to sit at home.
