Who said so..that was back in the days.
Lithium battery has changed all that...

My bosses, quick one.
I have a 3.7kva thermocol gen which I use for my 1.5hp inverter AC, 55inch TV, 190w thermocol refrigerator, 1 standing fan, mini home theater and 8-10 bulbs.
Now I plan on adding a pair of 2 or 3 hp standing AC (like the pics I attached below) , I don't know the power rating of standing AC. I want to ask what generator rating will power this type of AC with my present load too.

Chooooi...those standing acs are usually 3hp and 5hp.....only an 8.5kva petrol gen stands a chance @ powering the 3hp, when new..

Best you get an 18kva diesel generator. They are more reliable when it comes to heavy loads.
Petrol gens are best run at less than 40% of their rated capacity, if you want them to last long

Are you refering to solar?

I will like to further my education on this matter

Naaa, 4.5kva is well over 200k, 3.5kva I think from over 170k depending on if its manual or electric start.
boss Market humble me ooo.. I had to settle for spg 3000 E2 key start becos of Wifey..

Chaii Gen cost pass my expectation

He is even talking about adding a pair, which is a total of 3 Acs, diesel is surely the way to go.

Like the budget for this is crazy, over 4 million and you might need to change batteries after 2 years.

No, currently have a pair of 1.5hp inverter, plus a pair of standing AC will make it 2.

not true, google lithium cells they last for 20yrs...and loose 20% at the end of 20yrs/4000 cycles.....................buying sealed lead acid batteries is a waste

Now I understand you. At least an 8.5kva generator should solve your issue, just ensure the standing AC is inverter type also.

Boss Abeg I just opened a Drycleaning shop so I’m wondering how many Kva will be sufficient to power just fan, bulbs, one industrial iron and a washing machine. Can 1.8kva generator handle it? Generators are soo costly now.

What's the wattage of the industrial iron? If it is above 2000Watts, just go and get a 3.8kva generator. That's what I'm using to power my industrial iron rated 2200watts

1600watts. So what do you think?

1.8kva is around 1440watts, it wont power it. If you keep forcing it, generator will be running under stress. Engine will pack up sooner than expected

I don't see the need for that since your generator output Voltage is between 220-240v.

Stabilizers are normally not used on generators.
Why do u wish to put stabilizer on generator?.

Petrol gens usually dont like stabilizers being put on them, it acts like an extra load.
Best you repair your gen avr, if the output voltage is low/flunctuating
