The guy that anchored that primaries (Tokunbo Afikuyomi) is Tinubu boy and Oyo APC structure is also in the hand of them Tinubu caucus. Adelabu self no dey the party primary venue. Philipponzaghi: I think Tinubu reasoned that allowing a candidate to emerge without his support will show who truly owns Oyo grassroot support. He supported Penkelemeesi the other time but gangup by those who lost APC primaries was the reason Makinde won. Those rebels from APC have left Makinde too. . Besides, I see Penkelemeesi as a candidate foisted on others...the guy is very young and naive. That year, they said all Oyo state NPOWER beneficiaries must come for clearance in Ibadan with a dress code. On getting to the clearance venue, it turned out to be a campaign ground for Penkelemeesi and they forced us to mark attendance before the end of campaign by 3pm. My fellow beneficiaries were murmuring, cursing the idiot because those living far away from Ibadan woke up at midnight to catch up with buses that would get to Ibadan before dawn because it was stated that we must be there before 9am. FIRDAUS3:It's Folarin that can give Seyi sleepless night. Adelabu would have been a walk over. Adelabu is not a politician, he was imposed by HE Late Ajimobi. Folarin is a grassroot politician with many loyalist both in PDP and, APC. Politician is Different from Technocrat.. Adelabu is a Technocrat , Teslim Folarin is a Politician... If you talk about, who would have govern OYO State better, in terms of administrative skills...then, Adelabu Penkelemesi would have been the choice of APC... But, If we are talking about , the one that has a chance of wrestling power from Seyi Makinde , the incumbent governor, or atleast, give PDP some headaches ...then it is Teslim Folarin..
