Then Iwobi and Aribo flanking Ndidi as double 8s. Iwobi as a DLP, Aribo playing closer to the box...
Osimehn leading the line too cheesy
Seriously, naija team ain't bad. Our problem is coaching
Exactly. Just coaching

And e no possible for foreigners to develop one Nigerian coach way we go do switch for grin

Please what is Ekong still doing in the Super Eagles

Abeg, make that guy find him level

I could hardly see a SE highlight in that match. Seem like our team needs a total overhaul
Sir did you watch the full game or only highlights? Ekong made a lot of interceptions and blocked a couple of shots which otherwise would have sailed into the net. Uzoho was fantastic sir if you saw the whole game.

Thank you for the clips...it would be stupid for anyone to blame Uzoho for that goal....Dessers that goal a plus for him....Ekong needs to work on his awareness cos he keeps on making the same mistake.Good game for Nigeria.
Egbon you are spot on as usual. But you suppose watch the while game o. In the first half, those guys tortured us. The coach changed his formation and moved the players around then we really got better in the 2nd half. Minus that win goal, Ekong was solid sir, vital interceptions and blocked shots.

someone quoted me that Desser had no other option because it would have been offside. This picture here clearly showed that moffi was onside. releasing the ball earlier might have changed the final outcome of the match.

His two hands were out begging him to pass to him.

He was bit selfish till Moffi entered the offside trap. We need to start correcting this type of selfish play at this early rebuilding stage. No need to be selfish.

Aribo is the Nigerian player that have played most games this season with well over 50 games, he could have easily opted out of both friendly games like a certain ‘home born player’ called Osimhen. While I’m not criticizing Osimhen and others who wanted to rest but none of the foreign born players have ever given us a reason to question their dedication to the team

You're correct on the Osimhen case.

I remember Amokachi once say in his own words that the 'half casts' are not true Nigerians and that they do not know what it means to play for Nigeria. Balogun's name also came into the picture.

According to some Nigerians, home based players are more Nigerian than foreign born players just because of contrasting backgrounds.

Hunger and dedication is now determined by who they feel is ajekpako and who is ajebutter.

That is such a warped way of viewing things.

Amokachi is just a hypocrite, if his children were good enough to play proper football he won’t say that. Nigerians love the ‘he don too suffer’ story , that’s why Buhari easily scammed us and became president

I think we hv good DMs in ndidi, bonke,Onyeka and upcoming onyedika. Also I believe with time Lesley ugochukwu will rescind his decision and play for us

The cb position is my biggest worry and it’s high time the likes trio of omeruo, ekong and balogun are allowed to concentrate on their club careers

Celtic’s osaze, ozonwafor, elche’s new boy, akpoguma and ndah should be given more chance to stake a claim in the cb positions. Bassey already na untouchable and also it won’t be bad approaching torunarigha again

you forgot alhassan Yusuf. Is one guy I really wanted to see yesterday. I don't really know why he couldn't make it to camp

Exactly. Same thing happens during BBN. Just give Nigerians a poverty story and you'll have them eating out of your palms.

We are just too gullible as a people grin

labas370 is right , dessers failed to pass...

In football, there is something called "one touch".. Dessers doesn't have to take multiple touches he could have played it once the ball reached him..

It's Judgment day Part 1: Umar Sadiq Seeks "automatic" La Liga Promotion, One point only needed

Umar Sadiq has had yet another brilliant season in Almeria colors in the La Liga Smartbank.

17 goals, 9 assists, 7 penalties won, 14 big chances created, 36 chances created, 26 big chances missed, 3 penalties missed all across 35 league games.

Today is his 36th of the league campaign. Just one point today secures Sadiq and Almeria automatic promotion to La Liga. Just one point.

And Sadiq will be coming up against his Naija brother, Kenneth Omeruo today in a battle for that automatic ticket to the Spanish top flight.

It goes down in 15 mins.

Sadiq starts as usual. Omeruo also start

Omeruo and Leganes have nothing else to fight for. Their winning today won't get them into the promotion Playoffs spots and their losing won't get then relegated. They are just "there" and safe.

But it is Sadiq and Almeria who have something to fight for.. LA LIGA Promotion.

If Sadiq and Almeria don't get that one point at least and Valladolid beat Huesca.... then Sadiq and Almeria will have Judgment day Part 2 via the Promotion Playoffs. They tried via the promotion Playoffs last season and fell short. Right now, they have a chance to avoid the Playoffs and get the automatic ticket today.

Wishing Sadiq and Almeria the very best even against another of our own, Kenneth Omeruo.

No hard feelings.... I am Team Sadiq over Team Omeruo just for this game. La Liga must finally see this young man.

A Winger-Penetrator. A playmaker-Winger. A Creative Winger. They go by these names and a few more.... Ejuke remains a fine talent in the picture of things but he needs better consistency going forward and an improvement in a few areas chief among them which is "decision making".

His decision making especially at the last Afcon was atrocious.

His 21/22 story reads in summary: A Beast in the first half of the season but cooled down in the second half of the season.

Hopefully his 22/23 story comes out better. Dude has what it takes to still turn heads.

Leganes have scored 1-0.

Almeria still gets the automatic ticket as things stand as long as Valladolid doesn't beat Huesca.

Game on.

Thanks for noticing that. There are somethings SE players are not supposed to do as internationals. The way most of those homebase played is exactly the same way national teams of Tahiti, Bangladesh, fuji play. Just a flash. one good play, mess it up with below average decision.
TBH, I'm not expecting too much from any of them. Not because I don't like home based players but because the standard of the NPFL has fallen too low in recent times so it would be difficult for outstanding players in the league to replicate their form at a different level.

Ejuke wasn't a starter for most games in the second half of 21/22. I think the AFCON tourney
affected him psychologically. Imagine not being in the match day squad against Tunisia, as if any of the personnel starting in his position are better.

Our wingers are all poor in making decisions. Comparatively Ejuke seems the better pick.
