Where do you got 125 PTDF approved Schools in Germany from? Na wa ooo. PTDF approved schools are not up to 125 schools in Germany. Pls your source.

Let's wait for the interview results. We know Nigeria system is quota system which is disadvantage to some states .

PTDF could use CGPA we entered on the application to select best candidates in a moderate number like 3700 for competitive aptitude test since the final list is very small.

After test, filter out high-scoring candidates and do organised interviews preferably virtual. Let the tests results be seen immediately u write CBT .

Since PTDF scholarship is to train Nigerians in oil and gas industry, why asking for academic journal publications from MSc since most of them are in industry.

Professional bodies membership could be part of selection criteria since the scholarship is tailored to professional training. It's good to be identified with professional bodies.

How relevant the chosen course to oil and gas also matters.

Some are aligned with the opinion of using only CGPA, while others vehemently supports the conduct of aptitude test in addition to CGPA in order to screen out candidates before interview.

In addition, an aptitude test will help align presented paper qualification with actual on-the-ground performance, thereby ascertaining the credibility of the applicants.

In my opinion, this is a decision that should be deliberated upon by the PTDF board, while keeping in mind that academic excellence is of great benefit, the assessment has to encompass character, integrity and learning, and most importantly Leadership as academics alone cannot be the only criteria to be measured.

However, PTDF should work towards an online grading and screening of applicants before the invitations for interview are sent.

All the documents checked and graded at the interview venue could have been graded online, ranging from;
O’Level, First Degree, Professional Membership, Publication and SOP. Thereby allowing for efficient use of time and also providing equal opportunity for applicants to know how they were graded.

Thereafter, if the cut-off grade is set at 80%, only those who have pulled 80% and above would be invited for aptitude test and thereafter, interview.

This will lead to proper time management, objectivity of assessment procedure and overall efficiency of the test processes.

First, screening and probably inviting those who meet 80% is a yes for me. Aptitude test and the rest are a total NO.

First, NDDC once made this mistake. How do you grade professionals whom you seek to work in the field with test? What questions will you set? How does this test the individual good skills that we all have in our various fields with regards to the oil and gas industry. Talking of NDDC, I am a professional in my field and I should be able to score atleast 50%. But guess what, it was field based question as they claimed but I didn't pass.
For instance, I am a Network specialist and you give me questions on Web design, how I go take pass? Or I am a mechanical Engineer with focus on pipeline welding and maintenance and I am being tested on automobile? It doesn't make sense.

I think interview is the best, it gives us a chance to express ourselves. Even if all of us don't get it, atleast we will tell ourselves we tried, than having to be kicked out on a test that is not even your major. Can be so annoying.

If you have a serious issue with online interview, I advise that you go to the nearest interview center and complain to them before the interview window closes. I am sure they will have you interviewed.

Everything they are doing at the moment can be done online before inviting people for interview. They should screen and grade online then send invite for interview.

I was having mine and had a network glitch just when I was about answering a question asked. I've been trying to reconnect for over an hour and thirty minutes but still kept at the lobby.

I hope I get to complete it.

I must say that PTDF actually knows what they are doing, it's not easy grading about 30,000 plus candidates. what most organisations do is that they have a software that automatically screen out applicants base on the instructions giving to it. So I think that is what PTDF used to reduced number of applicants down to 8,800 for interview. That means 8,800 obtain their minimum score. Again some first class and upper class are just by paper and not the head, there are many people who are good with research and innovation skills but graduated with lower or third class. In today's world no body is ready to spend his money on someone for just certificate but for some one with a research and innovative interest.

I had my own virtual interview on 26th, I had to wait for 47 minutes before they finally joined. My advice is to remain put.

I really salute the bravery of the people who were willing to choose the virtual interview option.
