Professors in the house. I drained my gen's oil tank and filled it with new oil. In the space of two days, the oil tank dried up. I used the gen for an extensive period of time in the 48 hours of refilling the oil. Is the consumption justifiable or is there something that needs to be repaired?

Hello
Please I have been using a Elepaq elepaq sv5800
3.5 kva since September 2020 and its has been working fine, without loosing it's for once....except changing oil
But I made a mistake using its to power a 1.5hp hisesnce AC and its began to bring smoke out and plug began to get spoilt everyday
I was advised to ring its, which I did for 15k
But still yet, I still have to change the oil every 3 days? Please should I change the engine or just go for a bigger one like 4.5kva (the yellow one with Tyre) and Please do they last.
I have a 1.5Hp AC and a freezer
Which elepaq should I go for?
I believe it's has served me a lot

Good day everyone

Please my Sumec 1800 Spg generator suddenly started giving cranking sounds like iron grinding against iron while working which makes the generator's sound output loud. I changed the oil yesterday but it didn't seem to change anything. I make use of Mobil engine oil 20W-50.

Please what could be wrong with it and how can it fixed?

P.s: It still works perfectly and powers my appliances but the sound it is giving off is a concern to me.
I didn't get a response to this but I thought I should give a feedback anyway just in case it might be useful for someone.

It turned out that the 'bearing' was the culprit according to the technician and not the piston and ring as I envisaged originally. It is working perfectly now

here's what I think you should do,buy the bigger generator and let this one rest a bit.

Then when you come across spare funds, use it to buy a new engine for the old one. Then you can alternate the use of the two generators and it will help you and generators.

First you can use the small one when you don't have big things to power and save petrol. Then the other one will rest

Hello Professionals in the house ! Please the recommended oil for Firman Eco49990Es i bought recently is 10w - 30. I saw products like mobil, prime guard and prime guard premium on jumia. Mobli is pretty pricey. Please is prime guard a good oil? You can as well recommend alternatives.

Thanks

Please, getting 10w-30 in Warri is a herculean effort. Can 5w-30 be a substitute? Thanks in anticipation of your feedback

Get 20W-50, this is Nigeria, temperatures will never go as low as 5degrees in Warri. If you are not comfortable with 20W-50 you can go for other weights like 10W-40.

Hello all, please kindly advise a good generator that can be effective with a submersible or normal pumping machine. I saw a Senwei 4.5kva on Jumia, I am not sure if it can do this job.

My budget: 120k to maybe 150k.

Professor, how is it possible that Sumec Firman has 270cc engine and Thermocool 223cc engine for the same generator of 3kw output??

Does this mean the Sumec is more powerful??

You did not state the power of the pump. You'll need to raise your budget abit.

Care to explain why they have different displacements but same KW?

You'll have to do some reading on Google. Power is not just a function of engine size, the coil matters too. Same thermocool has generators withe same 210cc but power is 3.75 and 2.5kva respectively. You'll see Firman with 270cc and 196cc with same power of 3.5kva. The bigger the displacement in cc or litres ,the bigger the horsepower produced and the more the fuel consumption.

Hello everyone... Pls I need your help o...

I've been using the Thermocool 3.75kVA gen for the past 2/3 months now and everything has been working fine until I started using a 1.5AC inverter HiSense with it.

It gives this "vibrating" sound like it's about to go off.

My neighbor uses the same gen to power two AC and it works fine.

I don't where the problem might be coming from.

What else do you power with the AC? If your generator is the blue one, what's the frequency? If it's the yellow increase the running speed.
