Russian forces are "destroying" regions in eastern Ukraine from a "safe distance", German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock has said.

In a speech to the German parliament today, Ms Baerbock said Russia had adopted a strategy of flattening settlements in eastern Ukraine from a distance as she stressed the importance of sending Kyiv defensive weapons.

She said: "City by city, village by village, Russian troops are destroying them from a safe distance.
"First the missiles, then the warplanes with artillery, and then, when everything is flattened, the tanks roll in."

Earlier today, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the country would supply Ukraine with modern anti-aircraft missiles and radar systems.

����⚡Canadian military correspondent Neil Hauer said that he corresponded with a friend of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose unit defended Krasny Liman.

He told the Canadian that out of 60 people in his unit, only 4 people got out from Liman alive. The rest apparently were either killed or taken prisoner.#UkraineWar #Russia #Ukraine

The first Pro Russia in Donetsk and Luhansk was in 2004 or 2005, I think.
The current Mayor of Moscow, was one of the separatist leaders or speakers then as he was working and living in Donetsk region during that time, they want to separate from Ukraine and join Russia just like Crimea but then the Ukraine government were pro Russia which made the Russia government to turned the request down.
